Eternal

Lullaby stamped her hoof nervously and let out a soft snort. I relaxed a little at the sight of the Witchers.

“What are you doing are here?” The furthest man asked. I grasped the reigns in shaky hands.

“I’m looking for my friend. She was taken by a vampire, I think.” I explained. The man in the middle raised his head in curiosity.

“Vampires? We were trying to track some around here.” He explained.

“Please, can you help me? One of my friends and her sister was taken by a vampire and I just want to find her.” I begged to them. The two on the right exchanged a silent conversation before the middle on answered.

“I’m sorry, but these creatures are dangerous. If we find her, we will let you know.” He told me sadly. They started to turn their horses the other way.

“Wait! I can help you find them!” I called. One person turned around hesitantly.

“What knowledge do you have for us?” He asked quietly. I trotted forward on Lullaby. She snorted, still slightly scared. My eyes went wide at the presence of the Witchers. I was awestruck.

“Well, I can tell you that I saw him go north, to the Ghost Sea shores.” I explained. One of the men wrote it in a little notebook like my own.

It was true that I had seen the mysterious man walk off that way. The day he disappeared, I saw him go off towards the north road. It only lead to the Ghost Sea. Nothing else was out there.

“Are you sure, son? All there is out there is cliffs.” One asked. I nodded vigorously. I continued with a description of the man for them to write down. My heart was pounding in my chest. Maybe this was the key to finding Jynx!

“Thank you for the help. We will be sure to get in contact with you if we find her.” The man bobbed his head.

“Wait, Gerard.” One of them stopped him before he could trot off. The leader named Jordan turned to the other man.

“What is it, Mikey?” Gerard responded. The two men looked similar. They were probably brothers. Lullaby patiently waited as the men looked between me and the others.

“He looks strong. We could use him.” Mikey suggested. Gerard nodded, passing a quick glance to me.

“What do you think, Frank?” Mikey asked. The man on the end named Frank nodded.

“He’s got a good head about him. It’s obvious that he’s observant.” Frank cleared. I smiled a little bit at their kind words.

“What about you, Ray?” Gerard asked the other man. He nodded.

“He looks like he could handle himself. He’s determined.” Ray shrugged. Gerard turned back to me. His heavy war horses snorted, making Lullaby flicker her ears.

“What’s your name?” Gerard asked.

“It’s Toltek Brightstar.” I responded. Gerard nodded, thinking over things.

“How would you like to be a Witcher?” He asked suddenly. I gasped a little, letting my jaw drop.

“Really?”

“Well, we’d have to test you out a little. We’d need to put you through some training, and if you make it, we’d let you in.” Gerard chuckled at my excitement. I nodded ferociously. The Witcher’s blood red cloaks swayed as a gust passed us.

“That would be….be awesome!” I laughed. Gerard extended his hand and I shook it.

“Meet us at Windmont Lake tomorrow. We’ll meet you there and take you back to camp for assessment.” Mikey informed me. I nodded vigorously and thanked them all.

I couldn’t believe it.

Sorry I was gone for a few days! I was up at my cabin where there was no wifi, but I still typed this chapter! This part is going to be a shorter part, but I'm happy because it's going to go more in depth with Toltek! :)
