Hidden in Plain Sight

*Carly's POV*

They're voices surrounded me. Inside and out of my head, I couldn't block the sound. Some were whispering but most were yelling. Each distinguished voice repeating itself over and over. All the voices combined kinda made a nice sounding melody. "Slut, whore, no good, fucking strange, weirdo". Together the voices rang throughout my head.

I twist and turn my head, looking for some place to run, some place where I can escape the voices. I pant and pant, trying to move my body but it's like my brain isn't working. My body isn't connected to me at all. I can see myself standing in the pitch black. I am separated from myself. I can't control myself. But I can still hear the voices. "Slut, whore, no good, fucking strange, weirdo"

I watch as they surround my body. The voices with bodies but no faces. They are closing in on me and I can't save myself. They come closer, they're voiced getting louder. They hold their hands to my head, knives appearing in their hands. But it's like they stopped. They froze. I looked closer to each of the daggers held in the hands. They were engraved in red writing, those words that haunt my head. "Slut, whore, no good, fucking strange, weirdo"

Each dagger now drips in my blood as each of them make a mark in my skin. I can't feel the pain my body is going through, but I can feel the pain as the words chant in my mind.

*Jaime's POV*

Carly has been stirring in her sleep for about 5 minutes now. She woke me up as she was stirring. I've been watching her, but not in the creepy way. I was worried for her. I couldn't tell if she was having a bad dream or not. And I've heard that you shouldn't...

"JUST STOP" Carly screams loudly, throwing her self up out of bed with so much force. It's like she was trying to break free from something.

"Carly! Carly!" I say to her. " It was just a bad dream"

Carly sits up, breathing heavily. I can see tears fall down her face behind her hair. Her breathing is fairly uneven. "Carly, baby shh" I coo to her. She still hadn't calmed down. "Shh baby. It was just a dream. It's Jaime listen to my voice"

Carly's breathing soon began to calm down, but she snapped.

"Good morning" she smiled as if nothing happened.

"Good morning to you too, are you alright?" I say to her confused as hell.

"Of course I am, why wouldn't I be?" She kisses me on the cheek. "I'm gonna go have a shower before I head into work today" she gets up out of bed and just like that, she walks into her bathroom, and showers. She continued the day as normal.

We were all in the studio, and by we, I still mean All Time Low are with us too. Carly sits in her big wheelie chair, getting our gear ready and setting up stuff for work. But then her phone rang. "Hello?" She answered.

"Oh awesome! Yeah they're all at Fearless... Yeah studio 6... Awesome, I'll see you in a few... Haha no. They have no clue but I know they're gonna be happy... Ah okay talk to you soon, bye" Carly hangs up the phone.

Everyone looks at her. "Well because you're all picky, my brother, sister in law and my nephew are coming to visit" Carly smiles. But she lied. She lied big time. When that door opened, it wasn't Carly's brother. It was Bryan Stars.

"Pierce the Veil and All Time Low!" Bryan cheers.

We all greet Bryan and sit down and chat. Carly, once again, has organised yet another surprise, and it was for both our bands too. Carly, is truly a mastermind. How she managed to organise this right beneath our noses amazes me. And I don't know how she snuck it past me considering we are barely apart. She still continues to amaze me and for that, I love her more.

"In three, two one, hi guys this is Bryan Stars and I am here hanging out in Fearless Records with Pierce The Veil and special guests All Time Low" Bryan begins his interview. Carly chose not to be in the interview, as she is not apart of the bands. She's happy to sit behind and watch.

"So how are we all?" Bryan asks.

"Pretty fucking amazed if I must say" Vic started. "I didn't actually know I was going to be filmed today" . He earns a laugh.

"So guys, let's start off with a hard question. Who, out of the 8 of you here, is the best drinker?"

Everyone faces Jack. "Hey, I may drink a lot, but I can't be the best drinker. I vomit every night. I know someone who is a better drinker than me" Jack replies with a laugh. We ask who. "Hmm, not sure if I should say"

Only then did he turn around to face Carly. Who was sitting in her chair, with her feet up on the desk with her guitar in hand. "What" she simply says. But everyone laughs. "I'm not apart of this"

"To everyone who does not know my good friend here, this is Carly Fox. She's is currently recording Pierce the Veil's new album" Bryan introduces Carly into the interview.

She waves awkwardly at the camera. "Yep. I'm Carly. I'm the person who is keeping Pierce The Veil in business. If it wasn't for me, they'd probably have a different producer." She earns a great laugh from us.

"And you have also been chosen as the best drinker amongst this group" Bryan cheers.

The interview continues on. Bryan asks mostly band related questions, but for the general questions, Carly was able to join in. I could still see how she felt a little uncomfortable, and it astonishes me as to why. She is a pretty outgoing person, I don't see why a video camera would make her uncomfortable.

"Now, let's go back in time for a bit. Back to a time when we were in school" Bryan smiles. "Who was the nerd, and who was the bully?"

"Well, I was definitely no nerd, and surely not a bully. I was the kid that was quiet and just hung around this weirdo" Tony nudges into me, and we laugh.

"Yeah well, I had some smarts. I was pretty good at music..." I say sarcastically, "but yeah, I think I was a pretty average student. I was actually pretty popular. Everyone knew me as the kid with weird hair and hyperactive" I answered.

"Alex?" Bryan asked.

"Oh you know, i was average. Although I wasn't the most well liked kid in the school. Although when I moved to Baltimore, Jack liked me. But Rian didn't like me. I didn't care much, he was fat anyway" Alex
causes everyone to erupt in laughter. They begin to argue before Bryan directed the question to Carly.

"You ever hear of those kids who are quiet and who are really smart but don't have any friends because of it? Well yeah that was me basically. But I wasn't even smart. Sure, I aced chemistry and music, but that was it. Although, chemistry and music are a weird combination and literally the only two things I was good at, I had no friends. And I was also a bit of a smart ass to my teachers too" Carly smiles.

"Smart ass how?" Bryan asked.

"Well, because I moved schools a lot, I ended up in catholic school, and no offence to any Catholics or any religion, I thought it was bullshit. I remember this one time, my teacher asked me where something was located in the bible. He's like 'Carly, where are such and such located in the bible' and no joke, my answer was 'between the hard covers'" she had made everyone laugh.

"Then he was like 'yes. But where in the bible' and I answered 'between the front, middle and back of the book'. He sent me out of class after that" Carly finishes.

"My gosh, you were quite the shit stirrer in school. Anyways, we have to end it here. Thank you to Pierce The Veil and All Time Low for joining me today, and of course Carly. But we have one last question asked by one of our fans, and I do have to ask it. 'Jack, is it true that you used to date Jaime's new girlfriend?'"

Everyone stopped. My heart sped up. Everyone looked at Jack and I. Jack answered. "Yeah, I used to date Carly. But we're still great friends" Jack smiles.

And then after that, everything went awkward.

I know it's pretty crappy chapter, but it's gonna help later on. And I mean no offence to any religious kids. And here's a fact about the author, I actually go to a catholic school and that particular scene of Carly arguing with her religion teacher is an actual event of mine. (:
