Hidden in Plain Sight

*Jaime's POV*

It has been a month now. Carly and I being together and it's been the most wonderful month ever. We've done so much in such a short time. We've been out to dinner a few times, spent the afternoon at the beach, hell,we even stay at each other's places for the night. It feels like we've been together for much longer than a month, probably because we've been such close for about six months or more. The guys were kinda shocked when we broke the news but they all said they were expecting it. They congratulated us.

But this morning, i wake up on my own, in my own bed. Carly said she was busy this morning and we couldn't spend the night together. She refuses to tell me why she is busy and what she is doing, but I trust her none the less. I arrive at work at the normal time, but there was a note stuck to the door. The note read; hang tight guys. I have a special surprise for you :)

I am so confused by this note. I took it off the door and walked into the studio. Carly wasn't in her chair and she wasn't playing the keyboard or her guitar. She isn't here. It's so weird. She's always here playing stuff. Guess she must actually be busy. I wonder what the surprise is.

I sit down and pull out my bass, connecting it to the amplifier and practicing one of my new favourite songs on the album, Props and Mayhem. Shortly enough, the rest of the band walks in, asking me the obvious question "where is Carly?". I told them I knew as much as them. I have no clue where she could be.

My phone rang. "Hello?"

"Jaime, is everyone in the studio?" Carly speaks excitedly

"Uh yes why? What's going on?"

"Awesome" she hangs up.

I look to Vic and I look at him with the most confused look ever. I told him it was Carly asking if we were all here. Everyone Is as confused as I am. But everything was all explained when the door burst open and Carly comes roaring in with a few great friends of ours.

"Surprise fuckers!" Jack screamed as the rest of the All Time Low band entered.

"Hey guys!" Alex cheered and Rian and Zack soon say the same.

"Hey Alex, Jack," I say, "what the hell are you doing here?"

"Thought we'd come down and drop by our good pals studio" Alex smiles cheerfully.

Everyone was so happy and pleased. Carly had explained to us that she and Jack were talking the other night and Jack said All Time Low were gonna be down here for a couple days, so together they organised for Carly to pick them up at the airport when the arrived this morning. That's why she was busy and wouldn't tell me what she was doing. But for most of the day, we sat in the studio chatting away and catching up.

"Oh my god how did I ever forget!" Alex burst out mid sentence when taking to Carly.

"What, what is it?" Carly asked.

"I believe you we're telling me about some new hotshot guy by your side on the way here, am I right Carly?" Alex looks at her mischievously.

Carly blushes madly. "Well yeah. I was"

"You never told me a name" Alex looks to her.

"His name is Jaime Preciado" she says with a large smile on her face. I'm glad she said my name with a smile.

Everyone let out a gasp with shock. They all screamed 'no fucking way' when she said it. The band members of All Time Low soon captured me in their arms, hugging me and patting me on the back. But one pat on the shoulder seemed just a little off. I turn around to see it was Jack's. Then I was reminded. Carly and Jack once had a great love. Oh god, this just got real awkward.
