You Said Forever

Jaime's POV~

I heard everything that went on in there. I knew Alex really cared about Savannah, but I don't think Vic thought so, since he was still clenching his fists behind me. I turned to him and wrapped my arms around him. "Viccy, he loves her. I know it. He's good for her, and she's good for him. It'll be alright," I whispered into his neck. I felt him relax, and he embraced me. It felt so amazing to finally be in his arms, and even after all this time it was still sometimes hard to believe it was real.

We stayed that way until the bathroom door opened and Savannah and Alex emerged, with their hands tightly interlocked. Savannah had a slight smile on her face, and both of them had tear stains on their cheeks, but I knew they were happy. I pulled apart from Vic.

"I guess everything's alright now. Do you still want to stay, honey?" I asked Savannah and she nodded. "I'll be back soon, dad. I promise," she replied, hugging me and kissing my cheek, then doing the same to Vic. She grabbed mine and Vic's hands and mouth 'thank you', then we left. I hope she and Alex turn out well. He's a good kid, and so is Savannah, they just need a bit of help.

On the way back home, Vic was a little...off. "Baby, what are you thinking about?" I asked, turning down the radio. He sighed. "Hime, what if...what if they hurt her? Alex and Jack, I mean," he said quietly. I smiled, happy to know that he loved her just as much as I did.

"Vic, Alex is a good kid. They both need a little help, but they can help each other. And I don't think Jack will be messing with either of them anytime soon," I reassured him, and he sighed again, mumbling an "ok".

He still looked tense, so I began to sing one of the songs I'd written.

"Could this be out of line,

So contagiously..."

He stopped me after the second time I sang the chorus. "Jaime I love you so much, and I'm so glad that we're together now," he said, and I could hear in his voice that he'd been silently crying. We pulled up to the house, and I killed the ignition and smiled sweetly at my lover. "Victor, I love you so much more....and as I've told you before, you have no idea how long I've loved you and been pining for your love in return," I replied, and reached out to wipe the cold tears off of his perfect face. My hands rested on his jawline, and almost subconsciously we both leaned in slowly until our lips connected. It wasn't heated...it was comfortable. I'd loved this man for so long, and I didn't have to pretend that I didn't anymore. Our relationship still felt brand new, even after these past months.

Five or six minutes later we pulled apart, and the biggest smile spread across my face. He laughed a bit. "Why are you so smiley?" he asked, unable to hide the adorable smile that made it's way onto his face. "Because, am I not allowed to be happy after kissing the man I've wanted to kiss since we first met?" I asked, and he chuckled again. "Wanna do it again?" he asked, wiggling his eyebrows. "nah I'll pass," I joked, turning to look out the window. Vic fake pouted, but then I could practically hear the smirk in his voice as he spoke. "not. An. Option." he said, crawling over the console and grabbing my face, forcing me to kiss him. Of course I didn't fight back, but it was still fun to watch him get forceful like that.

My phone rang and ruined the moment. I sighed and looked at the caller ID, prepared to press the decline button, but when I saw Alex's face on my screen, I decided to answer it. "Hello?" I said, already worried. "Help," came the whispered answer, and then the call dropped.
