The Forgotten Fuentes

Deja Vu

*A year and 8 months later, Alli's POV*

"Come on Al, we don't want to be late!" Vic called from the front door. I slid on my heels and picked up Chandler, who had been sitting on my bed and playing with his favorite stuffed toy. "Aunty Lil an uncy Jack?" he asked and I smiled. "That's right babe, we're going to see Aunt Lil and Uncle Jack get married," I said, sighing at the thought of my baby sister being married at 18. I straightened Chandler's little bow tie as I walked towards the door. I shut and locked the door behind me, then went and put my son in his booster seat and clipped him in, careful not to pinch him. I smiled and kissed his and Clara's foreheads.
"Hey, where's mine?" Jaime joked from the other side of their seats. I chuckled and blew him a kiss and he pretended to catch it, then Clara gave him a dirty look. I laughed again as he handed it to her and she smiled and leaned over, letting her uncle Hime-Time kiss her cheek. I looked into the far back seat where Tony and Mike were sitting-extremely close to each other, I might add- and gave them an I'm-watching-you look, then shut the door. I went around the car and got into the passenger's seat and buckled up. I looked back at our large family again and smiled, feeling like a mother to three more than the two kids I had. Vic smiled too, then backed us out of the driveway and took off on our way to The Suicide Cliff, where Jack and Lilly were to be wed. Lilly said that it was because that cliff was how they met- though she never went into detail as to why she was there in the first place, which still worries me a bit.

We were rounding one of the sharp corners just minutes away from the cliff when we saw it. A huge semi losing control and coming towards us. Everyone screamed and time went in slow motion, as Vic tried to swerve out of the way of the oncoming truck, but to no avail. The semi's trailer hit us and the car flew off of the beginning part of the cliff that we were already on. I looked at Vic, who grabbed my hand tightly, then at the twins. Chandler was crying, but Clara was silent, with her head hanging down. I screamed again and then we hit the ground and everything was silent.
I faintly heard sirens and a female voice crying, begging for me to wake up. I tried to will my eyes to open, but they refused. I tried to say that I was alright, I tried to call Vic's name but nothing was working. "Ma'am, back away." A male voice. "NO! I'm her sister, I'm getting in that ambulance with her!" The girl. Lilly. "Ma'am, there isn't enough room, I'm sorry."
I faintly felt my body being lifted, then everything faded again and a loud ringing became prominent in my ears. That faded and I heard shouting. "Get the defibrillator, we're losing the girl!" Soon, that, too, faded and the ringing came back. I couldn't feel anything but someone holding my hand limply. Then even that was ripped away from me. All I can think of is one question; is this my end?
