The Forgotten Fuentes

Vic's POV~

I heard a horrified "WHAT?!" from the kitchen, and jumped to my feet. I sighed as I speed-walked to the kitchen. God damn it Alli, why can't you keep out of this? "Ariella Layne Fuentes! May I speak with you alone for a minute?" I asked in a warning, rather father-like tone. She poked her bottom lip out and slowly walked over to me. I grabbed her hand and led her out back, passing Mike and Tone on their way to the kitchen.

When we were outside, I stood in front of her and crossed my arms. "Alli, why on Earth are you doing this?" I asked. "Doing what?" she asked innocently, which was starting to piss me off. "You know what you're doing. Why do you assume everything is Mike's fault? Why did you tell Lilly instead of letting him tell her, and cause them to get into yet another fight? Why do you hate my baby brother?" I asked. Her mouth was partly open for a short time, as if she had a reply. Then she shut it, and looked down.

"I don't hate Mike, I just don't trust him. He wouldn't have told her anyways and-" she replied, but I interrupted her. "What makes you think he wouldn't have told her? Especially something like that! Mike is an honest kid," I said defensively. "Honest? Honest people don't cheat on their girlfriends!" she said, raising her voice slightly. "He made a mistake! Everyone makes mistakes, and he's paying the consequences, but you're actively trying to multiply them! God, Alli! Leave the kid alone! It wasn't your place to tell her something he hadn't even had a chance to tell her," I raised my voice as well. I she and I had not really had many fights, but this was really frustrating me.

She stayed quiet for a few minutes, but I know Alli and I know that she will never admit she's wrong. She won't lose an argument, even if she knows she's wrong. She looked at the ground, then back up at me. Her eyes were wet with drops of anger, but none escaped the barricade built by her eyes.

Silence hung over us as we stared each other in the eyes for a what seemed like forever. After the long period of deafening silence was up, she huffed and turned to go back inside. I thought about grabbing her arm and making her stay, but instead I just watched her storm away into the house. I made my way across to the hidden archway that lead to an abandoned garden that only I and the person who put it there knew about. I'd stumbled upon the garden by accident one day when I was wandering about the yard and trying to sort my thoughts. I found that the garden was great for that sort of thing, and just relaxing in general.

I carefully walked through the arch and into the rather large, jungle-like garden and sat on an old and crumbling stone bench under a large willow tree. I sighed and picked up a couple of rocks. I breathed in deeply, pulled my arm back, and threw one of the smaller ones as hard as I could, feeling relief when I heard it shatter from the other side of the willow tree's purple and white shield. Shattering rocks seemed to be a wonderful stress reliever. Tossing rock after rock, I felt a bit of weight being lifted off of my shoulders. I threw the last rock and waited for the sound of it's broken landing, but it never came.

"Careful where you're throwing those things, damn," said an unrecognizable voice. The limbs and flowers rustled and a tall boy in a too-big Jack Skellington hoodie walked through them.

Another short and pretty bad chapter, but I felt like I just HAD to update since I won't be able to Saturday because I am competing in All-Region Choir then xc I love you guys and thank you for putting up with this, I've been super busy but soon competition and stuff will be over so I'll hopefully have more time to write :3 Thanks for the dedication my lovelies <3
