The Forgotten Fuentes

Alli's POV~

I walked into the kitchen and began brewing some hot tea for Jaime and I. While I was waiting on the water to boil, I started some idle conversation with him. He and I never really talked all that much before tour, and not a lot while Vic and I were on the phone either, but I could tell he'd be a really good friend and someone I could confide in. He cared for the twins like they were his own, and he was already protective over everyone in the household. Jaime isn't silent, but he doesn't say much either. He's the kind of person everyone needs.

"So, how are you and Tony?" I asked innocently, as I poured some of the now-boiling water into two mugs. He stayed quiet and looked down at the table. I wonder if something happened.

He remained silent as I brought over the two mugs of hot tea- cinnamon for Jaime and honey chamomile for myself. "We...uh...had some disagreements...he and I aren't really...together anymore.." he muttered, and I watched, somewhat shocked, as he pulled the mug towards himself and a small tear slipped down his cheek.

"Oh, Hime...I'm sorry, I didn't know....do you want to talk about it?" I asked, immediately regretting bringing up something that made him so sad. I stood from my chair and went over to Jaime, wrapping my arms around him. He stood as well, and shrunk into my embrace, wrapping his arms around under mine.

After a few moments, we pulled apart and I saw that he'd been crying a bit more. He dried his eyes and shook his head, then pulled on a small smile. "No, thank you for being willing to talk to me though. I really appreciate it Alli," he said, and we both sat back down. "It's no problem Jaime, I don't mean to scare you, but I can kind of tell that we are going to be the closest two people in this household," I said, and he smiled a bit bigger. "Me too," he said, then took a sip of his cinnamon tea.

We sat in peace for a few minutes, then a messy-haired and exhausted looking Vic came in the room. "Holy crap, how have you done that every night?!" he whisper-yelled, plopping down into the chair next to me.

I laughed lightly and pushed my drink towards him. "Practice," I laughed. I stood and walked around behind him, leaning down and kissing his head and draping my arms around his shoulders. "Being a daddy is tough, huh? Try being a mommy," I laughed quietly. He rolled his eyes. I smiled.

"I'm so glad you're home hubby," I said innocently. "I'm glad to be home, my love. I've missed you unbearably," he replied. We paused for a second, then I started to giggle. "What?" he asked. "It sounds like Mike and Lilly have missed each other as well," I giggled. As if on cue, we heard a muffled, "Ugh, Mike!" from their bedroom. Vic started to laugh as well.

I will admit, I'm still really pissed about what Mike did to Lilly. But, I guess, as long as my little sister is happy then that's all that matters. However, if he does ANYTHING like that again, I will not hesitate to smack a bitch.

My eyes and Vic's caught on each other, and I swear it was just as powerful as the first time I ever saw him in that high school corridor. What was only a little more than a year ago seems so far away, it seems like I've known and loved this man for a lifetime. We've come so far since that brief meeting when Lilly and I beat the shit out of Kellin. Yet somehow, I knew that day that I'd need him in my life. That I'd love him. Even when I doubted it, I knew deep inside that I'd always love him. Here we are, a little over a year later, with two kids and living in a house together with his own touring band. So far, in so little time. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

We have our perfect little forever, broken as it may be, it's still perfect to me. It's our own little adventure, and Heaven knows it's no where near over.
