The Forgotten Fuentes

Accidental

Lilly's POV~

Mike was so awkward around me. I forgave him but he didn't believe me. He hadn't meant to hurt me, he just got a little upset. But he hated himself for it, he was beating himself up for it. I knew Vic sensed something was going on, and I hoped Mike would tell him what happened. Alli hated him for leaving bruises on me, but it was an accident. Why can't anyone see that?

Mike's POV~

"Please, tell me you're kidding! You didn't hit her, Mike, that's not you," Vic pleaded, and I shook my head. "I didn't...hit her...I grabbed her arms and squeezed tightly enough to leave bruises....I'm a terrible person, I don't want to hurt her..." I said. Vic sighed and shook his head. "Just don't do it again...please..Mike, don't turn into Marcos," he said, shaking his head again. Marcos was our stepfather, he was always beating on mama and Vic and I whenever he'd drink. I can't turn out like him...but I can't be trusted with Lilly anymore. I don't want to hurt her again.

Vic got up and went to his bunk, and I remained in the kitchen. I laid my head on the table as I felt the bus start to pull away from our first venue. Suddenly I felt arms around me. I looked up and Tony was smiling at me. "You're not hurting her by loving her, Mike," he said, and then he stood and slowly made his way back to the bunk area to sit with Jaime. I laid my head back down and let the rest of the tears fall. Love hurts.

Alli's POV~

I want to forgive Mike, I know that it was an accident, but I am still mad that he left bruises on my baby sister. It would be four months from now until we could see them again, and maybe then I could forgive him. But not now.

I laid the twins down after rocking them both to sleep, and letting Lilly sing to them. Her voice was gorgeous, almost as gorgeous as Vic's. As I walked out into the living room, my phone began to ring. I answered it with a smile. "Hey baby," I said into the phone, but I heard Mike's voice reply. "Alli, I need to talk to you," he said.

"Okay?" I replied, confused as to why he'd want to talk to me. "Please, please tell Lilly to forgive me, it was an accident. I swear it will never happen again," he pleaded and I chuckled. "Mikey, Lil's already forgiven you, and she told me that she wishes you wouldn't beat yourself up. She knows it was an accident, everything's okay," I said, trying to comfort him. Yeah, I was still mad. But he's my brother in-law. He sighed shakily, and I heard Vic in the background. There was rustling on the other end, and then I heard my husband's sweet voice fill my head.

"Hey Alli-bear, I love you," he said, and I smiled into the phone. "I love you too Viccy," I replied. I longed to be in his arms, though I had been earlier tonight. I still missed him. "I already miss you baby," I whined, and he chuckled. " I wish I could cuddle you, darling. I miss you too...and the twins. Are they in bed yet?" he asked, and I laughed a bit. "Yeah, babe. Sorry, you just missed them," I said, and I heard a muttered 'damn' on his side. I knew it was Jaime. He couldn't get enough of our babies, and I knew that they loved their uncle Hime-Time.

WE talked for about two hours, then he told me he needed to get a little rest for tomorrow's gig and he'd call me in the morning. I agreed and we said our goodnights and I love you's then hung up. I went to Mike and Lil's room to check on my sister and she was curled up in their bed, wearing one of his shirts and cuddling a teddy bear he'd won for her back at the homecoming fair. I smiled and closed the door, then went and laid in mine and Vic's bed. I was almost asleep when I heard Clara start to cry. I sighed and got back up. A mother's job is never done.
