The Forgotten Fuentes

Vic's POV~

I heard Alli scream and I was in the nursery in approximately .01 of a second. "Alli, what happened?" I asked, rushing to her side. "THEY'RE COMING! OH MY GOD THEY HURT LIKE A BITCH BUT THEY'RE COMING!" she yelled, bringing everyone else into the room. "The babies?!" Jaime asked excitedly, and Alli nodded and screamed out again. Tony and I pulled her up while Mike and Lilly went to start the car. Jaime helped Tony and I get her into the car and then we all piled in. I held Alli's hand the whole way to the hospital, despite the fact that she was nearly crushing it.

I was ecstatic! I get to see the birth of my son and daughter! I was a bit worried that they were a week early, but I was still excited nonetheless.

When we arrived at the hospital, Mike, Tony, and I carried Alli in. A few doctors rushed to our side and put her on a gurney, taking her to the maternity ward. I never let go of her hand. "Are you the father?" one of the doctors asked, and I nodded violently.

The put Alli in a bed, gave her an epidural, and strapped her arms and legs down, because she was squirming quite a bit. I held her hand and she forced a smile. "You get to be here for it after all," she said. I could hear the strain in her voice. "Are you ready?" the female doctor asked, peering around the sheet that was blocking Alli's view of what was happening. "Yes, just GET THEM OUT!" she said, raising her voice a bit towards the end as another contraction hit. "Okay, push!" the doctors called from behind the sheet. Alli nearly crushed my hand, but I didn't care, I watched in awe as she pushed over and over again at the doctors command, and smiled widely when I saw the head of our first child. "I can see a head!" I said, and Alli smiled weakly, and pushed again. After about two more pushes, the first one was out. It was our little girl. "Clara's out! Good job honey," I said, gently squeezing Alli's hand. She breathed deeply and then cried out again, joining our baby in the noise.

"Here comes little Chandler," she said. I could see how exhausted she already was, and I felt bad for her. "G-OD THIS HURTS!" she screamed as she pushed again. I rubbed her hand and she squeezed it again with another contraction. "Push!" the doctor called, and she did.

About twenty minutes later, Chandler was out. But so was Alli. Her breathing had shallowed and she'd stopped moving. She completely stilled and I heard a loud beep. Two more doctors ran in and started moving quickly. I was pushed out of the room, just as I heard one of the doctors yell words that nearly killed me.

"I think we lost her."
