*8 months later, at graduation*
Vic's POV~

"They're playing our class song, we have to go out there Alli bear," I said while rocking her back and forth, trying to wake her up. She screamed and flailed. "No, Vic! Look out! He has a knife!" she screamed, and everyone looked at us. The principal came over to us.

"Fuentes! Wake her up! She has to give her speech!" he spat. I rolled my eyes.

"Sir, that's what I am trying to do," I explained. Finally Alli stopped flailing and her eyes opened and she sat straight up. When she saw me, the panic disappeared. "I had another dream that you never woke up," she said softly.

"I know Alli bear, but I'm safe, and you have to go give a speech," I replied, kissing her nose.

The panicked look returned and she turned to face the principal. "Sir, can Vic escort me to the podium?" she asked desperately. The principal rolled his eyes. "I suppose, if it gets you out there faster so we can get this damned speech over with," he muttered. He pulled out his walkie-talkie and said something to the announcer, then motioned for us to go. I grabbed her hand and intertwined our fingers, as we walked across to the podium. After the announcer was done with the introduction, only Lilly and Mike cheered, but that didn't bother us. I kissed Alli softly, and whispered "good luck" then returned to my seat.

Mike's POV~
"And now our class valedictorian, Ariella Boyde, escorted onto the stage by her long-time boyfriend, Victor Fuentes Jr." the principal announced and Lilly and I stood up and cheered as they walked onto the stage. We were the only ones, but it didn't bother us. Alli smiled widely, and Vic kissed her quickly before returning to his seat.

"Though I suffered many losses this year, including the loss of my darling sisters and parents, I feel that had a greater gain as a whole. What did I gain? I gained knowledge, I gained confidence, and most importantly, I gained love for and from two of the most important men in my life. This year started out rough, but I have learned a great deal. My knowledge exceeded the textbooks that were given to me, and applied itself to my life. My level of success as a student couldn't have been reached without the love and support of my boyfriend, his brother, and most importantly, my only remaining family. My little sister is my best friend and my biggest supporter and has assisted me in achieving the title of valedictorian this year....." Alli continued, but I was too caught up in wiping the tears from Lilly's face to listen.

Lilly smiled and cried, burying her face in my chest. I rubbed her back and kissed the top of her head. When Alli finished her speech, everyone stood and applauded her. Many people rushed past Lilly and I, but when everything finally settled down, I noticed Lilly wasn't there. There was a neatly folded note on her seat. I picked it up and scanned through it, gasping at what I read.

You know who I am, and so does she. If you ever want to see this bitch alive again, come to the parking lot at midnight, unarmed and alone. See you tonight.
