Drown Me in the Flames

I checked my watch. It read 00:32. The train should be here by now. In the distance, I saw a light. Here it comes, I thought. Finally. I could hear talking. It was growing louder. It was getting nearer.
I stepped onto the tracks. The train was gaining speed.
"Hey!" went the voice. It was very familiar. I heard fast footsteps running towards me. I let go of any tension. I let my arms hang loose. This is it, I thought. The train blew its whistle. It was about 100 feet away. The footsteps were now sprinting towards me. Don't save me, I thought. The train was so close. I could feel it.
Right before it hit me, the stranger tackled me onto the other side of the tracks.
"Are you okay? Did you get hurt?" he asked. I ignored him and sat up and looked at all the train cars.
"I could've been hit."
"What?"
I turned to him. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was Jaime Preciado of Pierce the Veil.
"Why did you save me?" I asked him.
"Why not?" he responded. He helped me up and brushed the dirt off of me.
Tony from Pierce the Veil was on the other side of the tracks. He ran over.
"Is she okay?" Tony asked frantically.
"Yeah, she's okay."
"Come on we'll take you home,"

~next day at school~
I couldn't stop thinking about why Jaime saved me. He doesn't even know me. I'm just another pesky, annoying fan to him. I wouldn't make a difference. I don't matter to him.
Once I got home, I found Jaime and Mike sitting on a bench at the park. I have to go through the park to get to my house. Unless I wanted to face the forest, I had to face Jaime. I took a deep breath and took a step forward. Here we go, I thought. I started walking and tried to hide my face with my bangs.
"Hey," he said.
Crap, I thought.
I turned to face him. "Oh hi!"
"Mike this is the girl that I met at the uhm.."
"Train station," I finished.
"Hi, I'm Mike!"
"I'm Danielle."
"Do you think we can hang out?"
"Right now?"
"Sure, or whenever you can,"
Mike sneaked a nudge at Jaime.
"I'll call my mom." I said as I dialed.
"Hey mom, I'm going to hang out with a few friends... yes I have friends! Goodbye!" I hung up. "Sorry about that. My mom's a total bitch sometimes," I said.
"Did she say you can hang?" Jaime asked.
"Yeah she said I could stay."
"Yay! Let's go meet the other guys."
"You'll like Vic," Mike said.
Jaime looked at him as if he had three heads.
"What? She will!" Mike said.
"You'll like Tony," Jaime said.
"I like all of you," I said.
Jaime looked confused.
"I'm a huge fan of you guys," I said as I opened my sweater to reveal my shirt. I lifted up my sleeves to show my Pierce the Veil bracelets that hid my scars.
"What's your favorite song?"
"Either Bulls in the Bronx or Yeah Boy and Doll Face," I said. "Those songs speak to me. Those songs helped me through..." I trailed off. I didn't want them to know just yet.
"Through what?" Jaime asked. I didn't answer. "Danielle, through what?!"
"I'll tell you when I meet the other guys," I said quietly. I looked up. Jaime just nodded.
We walked for about 15 min and we finally reached their house. Jaime ushered us in.
"Vic, meet Danielle,"
"Uh, you guys can call me Dani for short,"
We talked and talked until Jaime said
"Oh yeah, what was that thing you wanted to say when you met the rest of us?"
"Oh...uhm..what I wanted to say was that...your music helped me through my self harm, depression, and eating disorders," I said as I looked down. I looked up and they were all getting up to hug me. I never wanted to let go of any of them.
