Doll Face

We were on the road for almost an hour and a half before Vic came by my bunk. He held up the bag of muffins.

“Wanna split one with me?” Vic asked. He was so cute and his smile made my insides melt. There was no way I could decline.

“Sure.” I said. I rolled out of my bunk and Vic and I sat at the table in the lounge of the bus. I was actually able to enjoy my chocolate chip muffin. Vic put me at ease.

“Hey Elena, can I tell you something and promise not to get upset?” he asked.

“Ok. I’ll try not to.” I said.

“It’s about Ben.” Vic stated.

I rolled my eyes. “He’s not as bad as everyone says. Ben has been nothing but nice to me. He had the chance to sleep with me, but he didn’t because he knew I was drunk.”

“I know. Just listen. Asking Alexandria and Sleeping With Sirens were on tour together, and a girl your age was with them. Ben started showing interest in her and it wasn’t too long before they were sharing hotel rooms and bunks. Then on the last show, Ben doesn’t even say goodbye to her and just leaves her a note saying, It was fun- Ben. “ Vic informed me.

“What happened to the girl?” I asked quietly.

“She was completely heartbroken and smashed her guitar. She said she’d never sing or play music again. Kellin was pissed because he saw this girl as his daughter and doesn’t talk to Ben anymore.” Vic said. “I just don’t want the same to happen to you.”

I processed his words. “It won’t. I’ve been screwed over and left broken by two guys before. I know how to handle myself. I won’t be fooled three times.”

“I’m here for you Elena.” Vic said and grabbed my hand. I leaned my head on his shoulder.

“Is this real?” I asked for the second time.

“Who’s to say what is real and what is not real?” Vic asked.

“Don’t get philosophical on me Fuentes.” I said.

“This is real Elena.” he finally said. I looked up into his chocolate brown eyes. I wanted to kiss him, but did he want to kiss me? I wouldn’t find out because Mike came in.

“Hey bro. Hey Elena.” Mike said. Vic let go of my hand and I got up.

“I’m going to lay down.” I said.

“We’ll be at the venue in two hours. I’ll wake you.” Vic said. I nodded and pulled back the curtain to bunk and laid down.

~Three Hours Later~

We were in traffic for an hour so we got to the venue an hour later than usual. The show was in two hours. I changed in the small bathroom. My outfit tonight was holey jeans, a low cut black tank top, and a sparkly silver bandeau. I wore three gold chains and huge earrings. My eyeliner was smokey and dramatic. The only thing that was difficult was my hair so I hid it under a red beanie. I paired my outfit with my scuffed combat boots.

Mike was the first one to see me. “Damn Elena. You’re hot.” he said. I felt my cheeks turn bright red.

“Thank you.” I replied.

“If you get bored of Ben just knock on my hotel door.” Mike told me.

“What?” I said surprised. Mike didn’t answer me because the rest of the guys walked in. He just winked at me.

“We’re gonna do soundcheck. Then it’s showtime.” said Jaime.

“Great!” I replied a little too eagerly. Mike’s comment caught me off guard and it was going to remain on mind all night.

This was just a filler so that's why it was short. I hope to start updating more during winter break.
