Doll Face

It was almost time for the show to start and I was the opening act. I wore black skinny jeans, a red flannel tired around my waist, jean vest with patches of bands that I liked, a white shirt, and beat up Converse. My wrists were covered with bracelets and I had five necklaces on. I decided to tease my hair and go for an effortless look, but in reality I worried over every single detail.

“5 minutes.” said our tech-guy.

“Oh God.” I muttered. We were in Seattle and the crowd was huge. I was trying so hard to keep my breathing calm. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned and saw Austin.

“Hey Elena. You look a little too nervous.” he commented.

“I’ve never played in front of such a huge crowd before.” I admitted.

“Well, pretend you’re playing in your school talent show. Don’t over think it. Just close your eyes and get lost in your music.” Austin advised.

I gave him and a hug. “Thank you Austin.”

“3 minutes.” announced the tech-guy. Pierce the Veil and All Time Low arrived backstage. Of Mice and Men were the first ones here. Asking Alexandria still wasn’t here yet. They all gave me words of encouragement.

“Thank you so much. Hearing these words come from my idols is really amazing.” I told them. We all got into a group hug and shouted “Penis Fingers” for some reason.

“2 minutes!” I heard.

Vic took me to the side and handed me his guitar pick. “I played my first show with this pic. I want you to have it.”

I took it from him and smiled. “Oh my goodness. This means do much to me. Thank you!” I gave him a long hug. We broke apart when “60 seconds” was shouted.Then Ben came running in.

“You’re early.” joked Mike.

“I wanted to see Elena before her first show.” Ben informed everyone.

“Well here I am.” I said and grabbed guitar. I strummed the strings with my new pic.

“Good luck and don’t imagine people in their underwear. It never works.” Ben told me.

“Ok.” I said and turned to walk on stage. At the last second Ben pulled me back and gave me a light kiss on the corner of my mouth.

“For good luck.” he whispered in my ear. I felt myself blush and I smiled. Then I turned around and played my first show.

~Vic’s POV~

I saw Ben kiss Elena. She looked surprised, but I saw her smile. What the hell is wrong with Ben? I was also the only one who saw it.

“Ben.” I called out and motioned for him to meet me in the back room since no one was in there at the moment.

He followed me. “What’s up Vic?”

“Leave Elena alone. She’s only 17 and she’s very impressionable.” I told him.

“Piss off Vic. I like her. Elena is a very talented and beautiful girl.” He responded.

“Elena has been on this tour for less than 24 hours and you’re already trying to bang her!” I half-yelled.

“Who said anything about banging her? I want to get to know her first.” Ben said.

“That’s bullshit. You know Elena would gladly do anything if you asked her to.” I spat.

“No I don’t Vic. I think Elena is almost an adult and she can make her own decisions. I don’t know why…” he stopped mid sentence. “Oh I see.”

“What?” I asked.

“You like Elena too and you’re jealous of me. I saw how you were glaring at us earlier today.” Ben said.

“Whatever. Just stop trying to get with Elena.” I told him.

“No. Why don’t we let Elena decide who and what she wants instead of you?” Ben suggested.

“Fine.” I said. I was done with this conversation. If Ben wants to play this game, then we’ll play. I know how to get a girl just as well as he does. The only difference is that I don’t have to pull down my pants.
