Anatome (Jaime Preciado/Pierce The Veil)

~Hi guys c: I've been thinking about this story for a while and I think the ending was a bit sudden so I've decided to make an alternative ending. You can choose which ending you'd rather have for this story but I'm making this one nicer and there's going to be loads of stuff happen in this ending.

~Jaime's POV

"Jaime, it's been two weeks and you've not left the room once." Vic sighed as he walked in, seeing that I'd not moved from Alexis's bedside.

"I don't want to leave her. She saved my life and I'm going to be here for her, no matter what." I replied as I gently held Alexis's hand in mine. "Heard anything else about Britany and Jared?" I asked as I turned around to face Vic.

"All we know is that there was a body found in the store and it was Britany, as for Jared, he's still on the run." Vic said as he sat down on the plastic chair next to me.

"Well, at least one of them are gone. I have no sympathy for either of them. They nearly killed all of us, especially for Alexis and for what? Because Alexis and I are in a relationship? It's fucking ridiculous. Shyloh could've been left without a mom and as I hate to say it, that may still happen." I snapped as I started to rant.

"As cruel as it sounds, I'm glad that she's dead. She has caused lots of shit in our lives, especially you and Lex but now that she's gone, we can finally relax and not have to keep looking behind our shoulder, wondering if either of them are watching us from a distance..." Vic stopped talking as he saw me twirl a ring in my fingers.

"When she wakes up and gets out the hospital, you should go ahead with the proposal. Seeing as the plans got... scuppered at Target, propose as soon as possible." Vic said as he patted my back and stood up.

""Don't worry man, I will." I gave Vic a small smile, he nodded at me and left the room. As the door clicked shut, I sighed loudly and turned to face Alexis again.

"I know I've said this so many times but please wake up. PLEASE. I need you, the guys need you, Jolie, Katelynne, Erin, Lights. Shyloh especially. We need you to wake up. We all love you." I pleaded again as Alexis continued to inhale and exhale, the continuous beeping of the hospital machines providing the only noise in the room.

~Vic's POV

"How are they doing?" Mike asked as I walked into the waiting room, everyone else looking up at me.

"The usual. Alexis is still in the coma and Jaime's not moved." I sighed as I collapsed into the seat beside me and Shyloh reached out towards me. I picked up Shyloh from her baby carrier and set her on her lap as she started cooing and trying to grab at my hair.

"She has most of Jaime's features but she shows a lot of Alexis as well, especially the eyes." Jolie murmured as the two of us watched Shyloh.

"Yeah, she does." I nodded as Shyloh placed her hand on mine and started giggling. I smirked as I continued to watch Shyloh, her laughter sounding better than the hospital machines.

"Quick, move, move, move!" A doctor yelled to his colleagues as they ran down the hall. Jolie and I shared a confused look before standing up and looking down the hall.

"What's happening?" I asked a passing doctor.

"Related to Alexis Fuentes?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"You'll be glad to hear this: she's waking up."

~Jaime's POV

"I don't care what you say, I'm not leaving." I told the nurse as I folded my arms and stood my ground.

"Sir, you need to leave." She commanded for the fourth time and pointed sharply at the door.

"Janice, let him stay. This is his girlfriend after all." A younger nurse said as she burst into the room. The first nurse gave me a look before sighing and walked out the room.

"Thanks." I said to the other nurse as she started unplugging the machines. She nodded her head before pulling out a small torch and started shining it at Alexis's eyes. Alexis responded after a second and started blinking rapidly as she groaned. My eyes went wide and my smile got bigger as everyone burst into the room.

"Is she really waking up?" Erin asked in shock. I nodded rapidly and smiled wide.

"Ugh, I feel like shit." I heard an all too familiar voice groan.

"Oh my god, you're awake!" Katelynne exclaimed as she, Lights, Jolie and Erin all ran towards her bedside and hugged her tightly. The girls started crying and I must admit, I'm pretty sure I saw the guys shed a tear or two as well.

"What the hell happened?" Alexis groaned as she held her side.

"When the ceiling collapsed, you shoved me away and got the heaviest impact of it. You've broken a few ribs, got a few burns on your legs and had bleeding on the brain which has now been fixed and you've been left with a concussion. Other than that, you're fine." I said as I sat on the bed and kissed Alexis's forehead.

"How long was I out?"

"Two weeks." Alexis stared at me in shock before she heard Shyloh coo. Vic took that as a hint and carefully placed Shyloh on Alexis's lap.

"Hi baby! I missed you!" Alexis said as Shyloh wrapped her hands around Alexis's fingers and gave her a toothless grin. Alexis teared up and pulled Shyloh close to her, hugging her tight.

"I promise I'm never leaving you again." She whispered to Shyloh.

"You better not, you terrified us all. You had your heart restarted twice." Jolie said.

"Wow." Alexis said. "So, what did happen to the bitch and Jared?"

"You'll probably be glad to hear this. Britany died in the fire." Lights said. Alexis smirked at the statement before indicating for Lights to continue. "Jared, however, is on the run but the police have a few leads." Lights finished.

"Well, it's safe to say, things are finally looking up." Alexis said, smiling at me as I kissed her hard.

~1 week later

"Take it easy." I laughed as Alex's struggled with the crutches the hospital had provided her to relieve pressure off her ribs and legs seeing as they were still a but unstable from the impact of the burns.

"It's not my fault that crutches and I don't co-operate." She muttered as she death glared at the crutches. I held back a laugh as I carried Shyloh in my left arm and helped as much as I could with my right.

"I told you to wait." Mike sighed as he and Vic came down the hall.

"I told her that but she ignored me." I tutted at Alexis whilst she wrapped her arms around her brothers necks and they took one crutch each, helping her along.

"You may as well carry her." Tony chuckled as he saw us all exit the hospital. Mike shrugged before linking arms with Vic as they hoisted her off the ground. Alexis squealed in shock before gripping her brothers shoulders and laughing at their height difference as we left the hospital. We piled into the car, myself in the driver's seat, Tony in the passenger seat with Shyloh and the Fuentes siblings in the back, squabbling about the lack of space.

"Ahh, this reminds me of when we were younger." Vic sighed happily as he crossed his legs over Alexis and Mike's lap. Mike gave him a look before shoving Vic's legs off and started laughing.

"We're here guys, stop bickering." Tony said as he kicked the door open and climbed out. I walked round to the side, opening the door for Alexis and carried her to the door, much to her protest. I set her down on the ground and opened the door, revealing Jolie, Katelynne, Erin, Lights, Beth and Thea squealing loudly as they all tackled her into a group hug.

"What are you guys doing here?" Alexis asked as she got over her shock of being tackled.

"We're here to help you." Beth smirked.

"Help with what?" Alexis asked, looking confused.

"It's 5pm now, be ready in an hour." I said as I pecked Alexis's lips and walked out the front door before any questions could be asked. The Fuentes and Tony were in the car by the time I arrived and they all looked at me.

"Ready?"

"Yeah, let's do this."

~Alexis's POV

~1 hour later

"Girls, I think you've done enough." I complained for the hundreth time as I tried to swat away another pair of hands. The girl's 'help' was getting me ready for a mysterious event planned by Jaime. I'm assuming that it's a congratulatory arrangement for finally getting out the hospital.

"Well, girls. I think our work of art is complete." Jolie exclaimed as she turned me towards the mirror. Light curls draped down my back courtesy to Jolie, Beth and Thea had done my make-up, giving me winged thin eyeliner and red lips, whilst Lights and Katelynne did a whole debate on what I would wear, eventually deciding with a knee length, flowy black dress with lace for the back, combat boots and a leather jacket. Erin accerosised by adding a ying and yang necklace, numerous bracelets and stud earrings.

"You look lovely Lex, knock him dead." Katelynne said as there was a knock at the door. I opened the door to reveal Tony, who gave me a big smile and winked at Erin.

"Ready to go?" He asked and guided me to the car before I could respond.

"Knock them dead Lex!" Lights shouted, along with goodbye responses from everyone else. Tony started the engine and we made light conversation before we pulled up to our location.

"Tony. PLEASE tell me why we're at the beach?" I questioned. All Tony did was tap his nose and pointed to the sea. I rolled my eyes before giving him an awkward side hug and got out the car. Tony yelled bye and started the car again, driving away from the beach, leaving me alone. I walked carefully onto the sand, curling my hands in my leather jacket as I looked around, trying to find something that would help show me why I'm here. I heard a guitar play and I noticed Jaime standing, guitar in hand, smiling wide.

Once I wish I could be on the other side of this conversation

I didn't speak. I'd become so shocked that he's written another song for me that I didn't know how to respond.

"It's called Believe You Me. I wrote this whilst you were in a coma. This was the only way that I was able to stay sane. I love you SO much, I would die for you, which is slightly ironic seeing as you nearly died for me." Jaime chuckled as he said that. "Which is why I'm doing this." He dropped to one knee and held out a ring.

"Alexis, will you marry me?" I barely managed to find the breath to stutter the word that Jaime was looking for.

"Yes."

~At home

"I can't believe it, you're finally engaged." Jolie sighed as we all sat in her living room, talking about anything that was on our minds.

"What do you mean finally?" I questioned.

"The guy is literally hook, line and sinker for you. It was only a matter of time before you guys moved forward in your relationship." Jolie replied.

"To be fair, I was going to propose after the signing at Target but after what happened there..." Jaime trailed off. I nodded in understandment and snuggled into Jaime as we all started our classic Disney marathon. After film seven, we alldecided to call it quits and headed home. Jaime unlocked the door whilst I kept Shyloh stable as well as balancing on crutches, which is a difficult procedure.

"You know, I could've taken her." Jaime chuckled as he watched me.

"I'm the mother and I've not seen her for two weeks." I defended back as Jaime unlocked the door, took Shyloh off me and I walked into the house, cursing as the crutches refused to co-operate with me. Jaime took Shyloh to her room then came down about five minutes later, giving me a devious smirk and we both giggled as we headed to the bedroom.

~4 months later

"Wedding bells are ringing!" Katelynne exclaimed as she barged into the hotel room Erin, Beth and I were sharing.

"Oh my god, this is far too early." I groaned as I rolled over to see that the time was 9am.

"You're getting married in three hours, come on." Jolie huffed as she dragged me out the bed and I landed on the floor with a thud. I hissed at Jolie, she responded by flipping me off and I was dragged to the nearest chair in the room and I started to get my hair and make up done. Lights helped me into my dress and Thes added the final touches then I helped everyone else get ready. The bridesmaid and maid of honour's dresses were a pale blue and touched the ground. My dress was white, also touched the ground, went in at the waist and poofed outwards from the waist down.

"You look beautiful." Erin commented as we started exiting the hotel and got into our provided transport.

"You look beautiful too." I replied as the driver started taking us to the wedding ceremony location. We all giggled and had a 'girl talk' until we all went silent then squealed with excitement as the transport pulled up outside the church.

"I'm scared." I confessed as I was helped out the car.

"I promise you, you'll be fine." Jolie smiled, reassuring me. Right, I can do this.

~7 hours later

"We did it." Jaime said as we slowly danced, everyone's eyes on us.

"Yeah, we did. I still can't get my head round it." I said as I stroked my wedding ring.

"Just think we're stuck together forever." Jaime chuckled.

"Oh, the horror." I sarcastically muttered, making both of us laugh. I looked around and smiled at everyone I saw. Erin and Tony were holding Oscar, Jolie was holding hands with Chris and had Kena at her side, Vic and Thea were now happily engaged and their facial expressions showed how they felt, Mike had wrapped his arms around Beth's baby bump and was smiling bright, Katelynne and Kellin were standing with their perfect little family and Lights and Beau had their hands entwined as they held Rocket between them.I was glad to say that these people were my family.

"So, er, Jaime..." I trailed off.

"What is it love?" He asked.

"How do you feel about having two kids?" I asked. Jaime stopped and stared at me.

"You're not..." I smirked.
