Anatome (Jaime Preciado/Pierce The Veil)

Vic's POV

My phone decided to die on me at the last minute. I growled and threw my phone at the wall. I sighed then put my head in my hands. This was getting ridiculous.

"Vic, the doctor said that we can see Jaime." Mike said. I got up and we all walked to where Jaime was being kept at. We walked in the room and saw that Jaime had been hooked up to many machines. All of them were constantly bleeping and many wires were attached to his arms.

"Will he be alright?" Tony asked the doctor.

"He may recover but there's a slight chance that he won't. Right now, he's currently in a coma and only time will tell if he wakes up or not." The doctor said. He looked at us one last time then left the room.

"One of us need to tell Alexis. She already knows that something has happened but she doesn't know what." I said as we all sat down in Jaime's room.

"I can do it if you like?" Erin asked. I nodded at her, she pulled out her phone and left the room.

"How's Alexis going to take it?" Beth asked as she hugged into Mike's side.

"I don't think it's going to go too well, especially with her being hormonal." Tony said. Tony was right, this isn't going to go well.

~Alexis's POV

After Vic's frantic call and not being able to get a hold of Jaime, I decided to lie in my bunk and the bus started moving. After we'd been on the road for ten minutes, I got a call from Erin.

"Hey Erin."

"Hey. I need to tell you something, try and not freak out."

"Ok... I'll try not to... what's happened?"

"Erm..."

"Just cut to the chase Erin."

"Someone drugged Jaime's drink and he overdosed. He's currently in a coma in hospital, also in critical condition and may die." I gasped and let the phone slip from my hand. I held my head in my hands and attempted to keep the tears at bay.

"Lex? Lex?!" I heard Erin's voice say from my phone.

"I'll be there as soon as I can." I said and hung up the phone. Our next tour destination was an hour away from where I lived, I decided to visit Jaime then.

"Lights! How long is it till we get to our next venue?" I shouted.

"About seven hours, why?" She called back. Shit, that's too far away. Seven hours is too long. I can't wait that long. My breath started getting shorter and I started panicking.

"Woah, Alexis, what's wrong?" Lights asked as she opened the curtain to my bunk. I slid on to the floor and hugged my knees to my chest, trying to calm down.

"Jaime... he- he-" I struggled to say what I had just been told.

"What happened hun?" Lights said as she wrapped her arms around me.

"Jaime may die. Someone drugged him." I choked out and starting crying. I barely cried so this was a first for me.

"Shh, it'll be alright, Jaime's strong, he'll get through this." Lights hugged me as I continued crying. My eyes started stinging and my head got sore after crying for a long time.

"Try and get some sleep." Lights said softly. I nodded my head and Lights helped me into my bunk.

"We have a few days where we're playing in California, you can definitely visit. If you need any more time, we can push the dates back a bit."

"I don't want you to push the dates back, the fans would be upset."

"I kow they would be but it's not a cancellation."

"Thanks Lights, you're a really good friend." We smile at each other, say goodnight and I close my curtian as Lights gets in her bunk. As I tried to sleep, many thoughts circled my head.

Will Jaime be alright?

Will he wake up?

Will things go back to normal?

Will he DIE?

The last thought threw me off track and I started panickig again. I managed to calm myself down after reassuring myself that Jaime WILL survive. He WILL be fine and he WON'T die. I started drifting to sleep, dreading the next morning.

~7 hours later

"Guys, we're at the venue!" I heard Dalton shout. My eyes shot open and I 'gracefully' left my bunk, which meant I fell and face planted the ground.

"Ow." I muttered, pulling myself off the ground.

"Did you land on your bump?!" Lights frantically asked. I held my baby bump for a few seconds.

"No, I didn't. We're fine." I said and patted it. I quickly changed into my usual clothes, tied my hair into a messy bun and darted off the bus. Lights came out after a few minutes, we got into a taxi that Travis had ordered for us and we went to the hospital. After a long drive, we pulled up outside the hospital. Lights payed the driver whilst I exited the taxi and bolted into the hospital. I scan my surroundings and headed towards the receptionist.

"Jaime Preciado."

"Relation?" The receptionist asked, tapping her acrylic nails impatiently.

"Girlfriend." The receptionist sighed and tapped some letters on her keyboard.

"Intensive Care Unit, ask the receptionist there." She said and pointed to the left. I thanked her and walked to ICU after Lights appeared. Normally, we'd take the stairs seeing as we're rather energetic people, but it's a little difficult to do when carrying another human and they suck the life out of you. Lights and I entered the lift and we were with a man that I thought would give me swine flu because he kept coughing on me, someone that sounded like a dying whale and a woman that looked high. The lift finally pinged and Lights and I left.

"I feel funny. Swine flu guy coughed on me." Lights shuddered as we headed to the ICU reception.

"I know how you feel." I chuckled.

"Jaime Preciado." I asked again.

"Relation?"

"Girlfriend."

"Room 4." I thanked the receptionist and headed to Room 4. I quietly opened the door and saw Mike and Beth sleeping on the couch, Vic leaning against the wall, Tony sitting on one of the plastic chairs and Erin was nowhere to be seen. Tony turned around as he heard the door click.

"Hey Lex." He said quietly, got off the chair and hugged me.

"Hey Turtle." I said and hugged him back, keeping the tears at bay.

"How's he doing?" I ask.

"Not that good." Tony said solemnly. I sniffed and breathed in. I was trying to keep myself from not crying, I was doing well so far. I felt someone hug me awkwardly from behind and I could tell that it was Erin. I turned around and hugged her properly.

"It's been horrible Lex." She whispered into my hair. I nodded and continued hugging Erin.

"Hey sis." I heard a tired Mike say from behind me. I spun round again and fell into Mike's chest, giving in on holding the tears back and started crying. All that could be heard in the room was me crying for my boyfriend to wake up.
