Anatome (Jaime Preciado/Pierce The Veil)

Jaime's POV

I waved to Alexis as she walked through the gate and disappeared. I instantly felt sad at the fact that I wasn't going to see my unborn child for two months. I was going to miss them dearly, but I must power on.

"You alright?" Vic asks as we started walking out the airport.

"Sorta. I'm going to miss both of them terribly but I'm also extremely happy for Alexis, seeing as this is an amazing career opportunity for her." I say. Vic wraps his arm around me and we all walk outside. The guys and I decided to head to a bar whilst Jolie, Kenadee and Erin headed home.

"One drink?" Mike asks. We all nod our heads and buy ourselves a beer. After drinking it all, I felt a buzz within me and we all started ordering shots. Feeling chirpy an confident, we all headed to a nightclub. Mike met Beth at he nightclub and they went to the dance floor together.

"Cheers!" We all yell as we down another shot. I winced as the alcohol burned my throat. We all started drinking more alcohol, getting drunker after every single shot. As I downed my fifth shot, I noticed a bit of a different taste to it but I ignored it, thinking that it was my drunken mind setting in.

"Hey, Jaime, you ok?" Tony asks as I start staggering around. My head starts spinning and my vision starts getting blurry. I feel my throat and stomach burn and I vomit.

"Dude, that's nasty." Tony said, laughing at me. His laughter's cut short as I start spewing blood. I continue coughing, tasting the blood in my mouth. I start tilting and I collapse to the ground, ignoring Tony calling my name and I start welcoming the black abyss.

~Tony's POV

"Vic! Help!" I shout over to Vic. He hears me, sees Jaime and runs over to us.

"What the hell happened?!"

"I have no idea! Jaime started vomiting, I assumed it was from the alcohol then he started vomiting blood then passed out." I said, trying to stay calm. Vic kneels down beside Jaime and checks him.

"Tony, he's barely breathing, call an ambulance!" Vic shouts. Vic's shouting attracts a bouncer in the club and he helps us as we wait for the ambulance. After ten minutes, two paramedics arrive inside the nightclub, put Jaime onto a stretcher and rush him outside.

"Tony? What the fuck has happened?" I turn to see Mike and Beth standing behind me.

"Jaime started vomiting blood and is barely breathing." I said hysterically.

"Shit!" Mike yells and we all run out the club.

"One can come with us in the ambulance, the rest of you can drive over." A female paramedic says as she works on Jaime. We all look at each other for a few seconds before eyes fall on me.

"I'll go." I say and climb into the back of the ambulance.

"I'll drive Vic and Mike to the hospital, we'll be right behind you." Beth says and the other paramedic closes the ambulance door. Jaime's heart beat was really low and the female paramedic was frantically putting in a cannula to give Jaime fluids. After a hectic drive, we pulled up outside the hospital. I got out the ambulance and Jaime was wheeled into the A&E unit.

"Code blue! Cardiac arrest!" My eyes grow wide as I hear those four words. Jaime had stopped breathing. A nurse pulls me aside and I fill in the information about Jaime and what I had witnessed at the nightclub. I was told t wait in the waiting room and Vic, Mike and Beth came running in after fifteen minutes.

"Is he alright?" Beth asks.

"Code blue. Cardiac arrest." I repeat the four awful words that I had overheard the paramedic say.

"Holy shit." Mike whispers and Beth hugs him, attempting to calm him down.

"I'm going to call Erin." I murmur and pull out my phone. I dial Erin's number, relay the events to her and I heard the dial tone. I disconnect the call and see Erin run through the reception after five minutes.

"Holy shit! He'll be alright, won't he?" Erin asks, her eyes full of tears as she runs over to me. I pull her into a hug and we both cry. I was absolutely terrified, now I know how Erin felt when I got into the car crash over six months ago.

"We've not heard anything yet, we have no idea." I stutter and we sit down in the reception area.

"Jaime Preciado." A male doctor calls out. We al stand up and walk towards him.

"Family?" He asks, a hint of a Scottish accent in his voice.

"Band members and close friends." Vic says.

"That's fine. Jaime's now in a stable condition after we resuscitated him. We took him for some scans and the scan results show that Jaime overdosed."

"That's not possible? How can he have overdosed? He never took any pills! One of us were with him the whole time." Mike said.

"Was he drinking alcohol?" We were asked. We nod at the doctor, not entirely prepared for what he was going to say next.

"It appears as if someone drugged his drink which caused him to overdose." We all stood in silence, registering the doctors words. Someone had drugged Jaime. The main question that came to my head: Why?

"Would you like us to call family? We see that a Ms Alexis Fuentes is on speed dial." We all shake our heads and said that we'd do it ourselves. The doctor says that he has other things he needs to do for Jam, we thank him for the information and the doctor leaves.

"Guys, I just thought." Erin said. We all turn to her.

"How do we tell Alexis that her boyfriend, the father of her baby has been drugged, died and is fighting for life in hospital?" Erin said. Shit. We were all worked up about Jaime that we forgot about the fact that we had to tell Alexis. Erin was right. How do we tell Alexis that Jaime is fighting for his life. How?

~Britany's POV

"It worked!" I squeal to Jared as I sneak out the nightclub.

"Nice going babe. We now need to lay low to prevent suspicion and we'll see how this plays out." Jared said whilst wrapping an arm around my waist. I nearly got caught but I was lucky. Now, as Jared said, we need to wait for this to play out.
