Dirty Little Secret

Best night I've had in a long time.

Kellin's P.O.V.

My mom won't let me back in the house today until I find a job. You know how long I'm gonna be out in the California sun? Enough time to look less like a vampire. I had been at malls, stores, libraries, pet shops, and everything. I've been out for three hours and now I'm trying my luck on a tattoo shop: they do piercing too. I don't do tattoos but I've done piercings and I'm really good. I walked into the tattoo shop and saw a tan guy with long, curly, brown hair and a nose piercing. He got up from the desk he was at and came over to greet me.

"Hey, what can I help you with today?" The guy asked. He's so...holy shit, this guy's cute. That's all I can say. I'm not gay, I'm just stating something obvious.

"Um..I'm just l-looking for a job..." I spoke. I sure lost all my confidence when he flashed me his smile. I bit my lower lip and looked to the ground until I realized I'd seem unprofessional and he'd not even give me a chance.

"You do tattoos?" The guy asked.

"No, I do piercings." I answered, shooting back a smile at him. He smirked at me, looking me up and down.

"You're cute. What's your name?" The guy asked me. I felt heat rise to my cheeks and cleared my throat.

"K-Kellin."

"Nice to meet you, Kellin. I'm Victor. So you're a shy guy?"

"Yea...sort of.."

"We need a friendly guy who's not afraid to talk to customers here. Do you think you'd really fit the job?" Victor asked. I swallowed hard.

"I c-can do it. I can talk to the customers..." I responded.

"But you can barley talk to me." Victor replied. It's only 'cause this damn guy is so attractive.

"Sorry..."

"Don't be, it's cute." There he goes again. Complimenting me. Gosh. "You like it when I call you cute, Kellin?"

"I uh...excuse me?" Is he really asking me that?

"Forget it. How bad do you need this job?" Victor asked.

"Really bad. My mom would kick me out of the house if I don't."

"How old are you?"

"23."

"Okay...how about I give you the job if you do one thing for me?" Victor asked. He bit his lip and gave me that perfect smile of his. Is he flirting? Oh god.

"Okay. What is it?..." I asked.

"Go on a date with me. Let me take you out to dinner tonight, yea? It'll be fun, I promise." Victor smiled at me sweetly and took hold of one of my hand. I gasped at the sudden contact, not expecting him to be gay and all...I need this job. I really do. It's just a date. With a guy. Possibly my boss. A guy. It would be nice to be away from Kate for a while too...fuck it.

"Sure. What time?" I asked, with a shy smile. His face lit up like Christmas and he went over to his desk to write something on a paper. God, he really is cute. And he's so short. He walked back over to me and slipped me the paper.

"How about 7? Call me so I can pick you up?" Victor asked. His cheeks burned red this time.

"Yea...7's good. See you tonight?.."

"See you tonight." Victor responded. He smiled and walked off as I exited the store. What the hell did I just get myself into?

It was 6:45 I still haven't called him. I guess I'm just nervous. My stomach's been tied in knots all day and I don't know why. I'm not even into him...I'm not gay, I shouldn't be freaking out right now but I am. I haven't even told Kate. I guess I have to now.

"Kate?.." I called out. She appeared from the kitchen, I bet she was helping my mom cook.

"Yea, babe?"

"I'm going to a friends house tonight....he wants me to help him find a date so we're heading off to the clubs and stuff."

"Oh. What friend?" Kate asked.

"Justin."

"Oh, okay. Don't go after any girls tonight." Kate joked, laughing and heading back into the kitchen. I walked upstairs and got dressed in the best clothes I could. I'm not sure why I'm trying to impress this guy so much. Maybe just because he's my possible new boss. I took my phone out and called him. It was 6:49.

"Hey, Victor. It's Kellin..."

"Oh hey! I thought you'd blow me off or something." Victor laughed. I smiled, he has a nice laugh.

"I wouldn't do that to you. You're too damn cute." I accidentally spoke. I face palmed myself when I realized what I said.

"Obviously not as much as you....where do I pick you up?" Victor asked.

"My house. 3692, Cherry street." I spoke. Victor agreed and we hung up. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in. God, why am I so nervous? A while later I heard the door downstairs and ran.

"I got it! Justin's here, bye Kate!" I rushed over to her, kissed her cheek and walked out the front door.

"Kellin...wow...you look great." Victor spoke. He looked a little nervous himself.

"T-Thanks...you do too." I shoved my hands in my pockets out of the nerves that were building up.

"This is a date, Kellin. Let me hold your hand?" Victor asked. I swallowed hard and took my hand out for him to hold. I didn't think I'd be so into this, but the instant he touched my hand I didn't want to let go. It felt so nice. Like little fireworks going off in the palms of our hands. I squeezed his hand tighter as we got to his car. He opened the door for me and gave me that perfect smile again.

"Thank you."

Victor got into his car and we drove off. I wasn't sure where we were going but I was pretty nervous. I couldn't stop shaking my leg and tapping my hand on my lap.

"You okay?" Victor asked. He looked at me and I nodded. He put one of his hands on my thigh and kept the other one on the steering wheel. My stomach filled with butterflies. It's really starting to freak me out how much I'm liking this. I slowly moved my hand and let it fall on his. He looked at me and smiled, moving his hand and now holding mine.

"You know, I'm really glad I had the courage to ask you out." Victor spoke. I smiled at him.

"I'm glad you asked me. I've never been with a guy..." I admitted. Victor's head shot up, but he went back to facing the road so we wouldn't crash.

"You haven't? What made you accept to go out with me?" Victor asked.

"You're the first guy I'm attracted to, I guess..." I admitted. I couldn't believe myself right now...am I really okay with being on a date with this guy and maybe...liking him?

"I feel lucky." Victor chuckled. "I hope you like Italian."

We finally got to the restaurant. It looked really fancy and expensive. I hope he wasn't spending too much on this date...

"I love Italian." I replied. Victor got out of the car and rushed over to open my door like a gentlemen. God, he's the cutest thing, I swear.

"Our chariot awaits." Victor spoke, holding his hand out for me to take. I laughed, not believing him until I turned around and saw a real chariot. It was big, white and gold. There was a man in the front with two brown horses. I covered my mouth unable to say anything.

"Victor..."

"Shhh..say no more. Come on, let's go eat." Victor held my hand and helped me onto the chariot. I couldn't help but blush and my smile just wouldn't fade away. I was really starting to like this. It's an amazing first date so far and we're not even at the restaurant.

"So, anymore surprises on this date?" I asked.

"If I told you, there wouldn't be any surprises, now would there?" Victor laughed. I giggled. I fucking giggled. I'm acting like a fucking teenage girl. I feel like a teenage girl. I don't think I've ever felt so excited on a date before. I just want to see what's coming next, what other surprises he'll have for me. He's just so...so sweet.

"You're so cute." Victor spoke. I felt my cheeks get hotter and looked away from him before he'd say something. "Look at me, Kellin." I slowly turned to face him. His face was right in front of mine, his eyes locked on mine. This is the moment my stomach exploded with butterflies and my chest with fireworks. I bit my lip, nervous to keep looking at him. His face moved closer to mine, I didn't move. Do I want this? I looked at his lips. They looked so soft, so good...he was so close, all he had to do was tilt his head but then the guy in the front spoke up. Fucking hell.

"We are now at our destination!" The man cheered. Victor and I moved away. I wanted to punch the fucking guy in the crotch, but that wouldn't get me anywhere. Victor laughed and got out of the chariot, holding his hand out for me. I took his hand and got off as well, we said goodbye to the guy and went inside of the restaurant.

"Reservations?" The man asked.

"For Victor Fuentes." So that's his last name.

"Right this way." The man spoke. Victor held my hand as the man lead us passed everyone. I was kind of confused when we passed every table but then the man lead us outside to the back. There was only one table outside. It was a table for two and it was on a big lit up canopy like the one in twilight. I stared in awe. Did he really do this for us? For me? There was nice green grass surrounding the canopy and soft music playing in the background. As we got closer, I noticed a red rose on the center of the table along with a bottle of champagne and two glasses.

"Victor....this is amazing. I love it."

"I'm glad you do. I wanted it to be special." Victor replied. Victor pulled the chair out for me and I sat down. I watched him sit across from me, he looked a little nervous. We looked at our menus. All the stuff on here was different to me. I've never heard of any of these things. There were like ten different pastas! I decided to just go with the second pasta on the list. I shouldn't eat much anyway, I'd just gain weight.

"Are you ready to order, sir Fuentes?" The guy asked. Victor put his menu down and looked at me with another smile.

"Yea, I'll have the Bucatini all'Amatriciana." Victor spoke. The waiter turned to me for an answer.

"Um..I'll have the Pasta e Fagioli..." I wasn't sure of how to say it, but he understood. He walked off without another word.

"So, how do you like your first date with a guy so far?" Victor asked. I smiled.

"It's amazing. Really, I didn't think it'd be so great.."

"Well I'm glad you're enjoying it. That guy from the chariot sure is a jerk, hu?" Victor laughed. I laughed back, remembering how mad I was.

"Yea, I really wanted to kiss you." I spoke. Oh god, that slipped out. Victor's laughing subsided and he just looked at me.

"I'll promise you that kiss by the end of this date." Victor spoke. I hid my face, turning away. I already knew I was probably the deepest shade of pink right now. The waiter came back with our food. My pasta looked pretty fucking great. Victor's looked good too. I was so glad it was a small plate, I don't need to eat more than I should.

"The food looks amazing!" Victor cheered. He's too cute. We both began eating our food, talking like we knew each other for a long time. The conversation just went smooth and I felt so comfortable with him. If I'm gay, I'm totally fine with it. Victor's great. It took a while before we both finished our food since we were talking so much. We talked about where we went to school, favorite colors, favorite food, favorite things. Pretty much just getting to know each other better. Victor opened up the bottle of champagne and poured it for us in the glasses.

"To first dates!" Victor cheered, holding up his glass. I held up mine next to his.

"To first dates!" I repeated. We hit our glasses together and drank.

It got pretty late, I realized it was already 9:51 PM. I was having such a good time with Victor making jokes, and laughing about stupid things....I don't want this date to end. Before it did, Victor got up and asked me to dance.

"Kellin, will you have this dance with me?" Victor asked, bowing just a bit and holding out his hand. He's so perfect.

"I'd love to." I spoke. We got up and started to dance to the soft music. Victor had his hands on my waist, I hand mine on his shoulders. We swayed to the gentle music underneath the stars and the moonlit sky. Everything was perfect right now. I wouldn't change a thing. We danced for a long time till' we realized it was already 10:06 PM.

"well, we better get going." Victor spoke. I nodded, walking along off the canopy with him and back out of the restaurant . We took the chariot back again and then finally got back to his car. The drive back home was long. When we pulled up to my driveway, it totally hit me that I'm still with Kate. I completely forgot about her. About everything tonight. God dammit.

"Well, I had fun tonight." I spoke. We were still in Victor's car.

"I did too. Hey, what's your last name?" Victor asked.

"Why?" I asked.

"I just wanna hear it." Victor answered.

"I'll tell you on the second date." I spoke. I winked at him and gave him a smug grin. He smiled and nodded, taking my hand for the last time of the night. He leaned forward slowly. I leaned in too this time. I squeezed his hand tighter and he finally closed the gap in between us. His lips felt like kissing an angel. I might be exaggerating but that's how it felt like for me. Seriously, I was walking on heavens clouds. We pulled away, our faces were still close and he played with my hair, twirling it around his finger. I chuckled, thinking about how much I liked that kiss.

"I gotta go." I spoke. I don't want to leave. That kiss definitely proves I like Victor.

"Okay..see you tomorrow? For work." Victor smile. I smiled back. "Be there at 10, don't be late." He spoke. I nodded and opened the car door, leaving and watching him drive off. I went inside my house, closed the door and leaned on it like a teenage girl, ready to scream my head off. I would've if everyone wasn't asleep. Tonight was amazing, and I can't wait for tomorrow.
