May These Noises Startle You In Your Sleep

Jaime's POV
So Marie had told all of us about Ashes and we had now just finished breakfast together, even little Ashes had sat with us once we had finished talking with Marie. Except Vic, he didn't talk nor did he look up at Marie. I wonder why he's being distant but I guess it's because of his headache this morning. I'm bored now and the guys just seem to be laying around today but no sir not me I shall do no such thing as be lazy for two days in a row !
"Hey guys I think it's time me and Ashley leave. I'll call you later Vic and then maybe we can hang out then?" Marie said to all of us then she turned towards Vic to finish her sentence. But Vic just got up and walked past her as if she wasn't there and had went to his room because we then heard his door slam. Well that's a bit strange and awkward. So I decided to break the silence.
"Hey Marie since these losers don't seem like they're going to do much today why don't me you and Ashes hangout and go to dinner or something?" I has asked Marie but had bent down to be eye level with Ashes as if to ask her too about it all. And boy was the reaction with her little face adorable, her eyes lit up and she started to bounce slightly. Then had turned her attention up to Marie and gave her the cutest puppy dog eyes she could muster up and had asked her mother "Could we please mommy?" her voice slightly quiet. Marie's face had looked as if she was contemplating her answer but I had already seen her answer by look into her eyes. They held a bit of excitement and amusement. It's definitely going to be a yes.
"Yes, we can. I think it's be fun." Marie finally said with a small sigh and a roll of her eyes.
"Yay!" Ashes somewhat yelled as she threw herself into my arms, I suddenly catch her so she doesn't just jump at me. I wave goodbye to Tony and Mike who are sitting together on the couch lazily scrolling threw channels on the television. Once we walked out of the house I had ushered Marie and Ashes towards my car. But I don't know what were going to go.
"So where would you like to go Ash?" I had asked Ashes by looking at her in my rearview mirror.
"I dunno." She replied with a small shrug. All I did was smile because sometimes she does the cutest things.
"Well Ashes why don't we over to Nana's place and go swimming?" Marie said to Ashes with a smile. All Ashes had done was nod with a big smile plastered onto her little face.
"Are you sure you're mom won't mind me being over at her house?" I asked Marie after she had told me the address whilst pointing to places I have to turn and such.
"She won't mind I promise. She actually isn't going to be there at all, she's going on vacation for about two weeks. That's why I had to go over to her house to pick up Ashley earlier than normal." She had explained once we were finally in her mother's driveway.
"But I don't have swim trunks with me." I had told Marie.
"Well my older brother has a few things he's kept at home and I think he should have a pair in his room, I'll go check for you kay?" Marie said as she opened up her old home. And I didn't know she had an older brother since when did that happen?
"How many siblings do you have that you haven't told me about?" I asked Marie with a confused facial expression.
"I have two older brothers and I have a little sister. But she stays with our dad instead of our mother. My eldest brothers Name is Eric and he's 30 and he lives somewhere in Europe. And actually I'm a twin, Me and my twin brother Christian are 24 and I live a little bit away from her and he lives somewhere in Washington State him and I had always wanted to move there because as children we loved the rain but we never did because when I was pregnant with Ash he didn't approve of my age nor of the father but I was young and dumb and we haven't talked for about 5 years now. And lastly my little sister Minnie is 18 but like I said she lives with our Dad. It's pretty weird that they had all of us about 6 years apart, also my parents were parents at a young age just like me!" Marie had finally finished with a triumphant smile.
"Wow I didn't know any of that about you I mean obviously but that's a lot and I'm sorry about you're twin Christian but why does Minnie live with you're Dad and what happened to you're parents marriage ? If you don't mind me asking?" I said to Marie while she had finally found swim trunks for me to wear. First she showed me the bathroom to go get changed then she had answered my questions.
"It's okay I have a surprise for Chris when our birthday rolls around so I'll get him back for leaving me. And about Mini she lived with my Dad because she couldn't stand our Mom which is weird because she came from the same mother but she has it drilled into her mind that My mother isn't the same woman that had her but it's okay. And my Dad and Mom split when I was pregnant and Mini had gone a bit haywire with Mom. The reason Mini think's my Mom isn't her mother is because when Mini was about 12 she started to get into fights and around 15 she dabbled in drugs I guess you could say." Marie said.
"Well that's a lot of stuff to happen to you I can't believe how you and you're brothers and you feel." I say with a sympathetic smile.
"Actually I never really got along with my Dad nor my little sister. When she got into drugs it wasn't just Mary Jane it was a few heavier drugs and she had to be put into rehab and once she left I hadn't visited her and I didn't plan to either because I had a child now and I needed to grow up and be responsible because I had to take care of not only myself but another human being and it just baffled me when I was 19 all I was thinking about was that in a few years I can get drunk with my friends and just fool around when I was in collage and not be serious about anything." Marie said.
"Well how about I go get changed and I'll meet you and Ashes down stairs okay?" I had said to Marie whilst walking towards the bathroom.
"Okay I just have to get ready and so does Ashes." Marie said with a smile while walking out the room.
