... We All Fall Down

"Nita." Tony said as I looked at myself in the mirror. The past three days have been the worst days of my life. My mom hasn't said anything ever since the passing of my father, and Owen the same. "It's time." I sigh and look at myself from head to toe. I was dressed in a black dress that went up to the top of my knees, my hair was in loose waves, just how my dad liked it. He always said I looked like a modern version of Sleeping beauty. My old man. My eyes were red from no sleep and the constant crying. I didn't recognize myself, not anymore. I fix the American flag pin and turn around to face Tony. "You ready?" I shake my head and he opens his arms. I walk into them and hugged his torso. "Ima miss him a whole mess." I whispered. Tony seemed the pain I was going through. Loosing a father isn't the best thing in the world. Loosing a boy, who you have seen to grow into a passionate guitarist isn't the greatest thing ever either. Whoever this bastard is.. He's just making me seek revenge more and more, to the point that I'm not going to be in danger. I am the danger. ------------------------- They gave the folded American to my mom and his uniform to me. The thing I hate about police men funerals is that they make this a huge thing, I think personally my dad would have hated it. As they lowered the casket, the color guard fired into the sky. Which I wanted to rip those guns off their hands. Don't they know that's how he died? My mom dropped to her knees and start ripping the grass and throwing it at nowhere in particular. Tony had his arms wrapped around my waist, which I was kind of grateful because I just wanted to run into that hole and lay next to the man I called my father and just be with him forever. "LET ME BE WITH HIM!" My mother yelled as Owen hugged her and cried with her. I didn't like crying in front of people I didn't know. Once everybody started to leave I went to the hole and start to pour some dirt into it. "I will seek revenge papa." I said. "I won't let you down." And the tears that were threatening to fall... fell. ----------------- Me, Owen, Tony, and Genesis with Dennis in his stroller, were at the cliff, feet dangling, looking at the cloudy orange sky. I took a smoke and lit it up. "Nita." Tony said. "I need to relieve myself." I said and he didn't say anything back. I passed it to Owen who gladly took a hit of it. "Two people in less than a week." I said. "This is impossible. Whoever is doing this is trying to ruin my fucking life... Well he's succeeding." They didn't say anything. "Who else? It could be any of you. My mom. The guys." Owen said. "I just wished that bastard would just leave us alone. Emma wasn't enough for him?" "Owen..." "Genesis. We talked about this. He tried to kill Tony.. Almost killing Mike. He killed Xavier, someone we all got very close to, then my dad." "We had just spent the day together..." I said softly. "We were having a great time. Shooting at targets.. Battling.. Drinking coffee, talking about how proud I was of him." I wipe my face. Tony hugged me from the side. He kept looking at the sunset. "How he was proud of me. He told me he loved me and that he was sorry... He died in my arms.. I couldn't do anything at the moment." I cry into Tony. "I want my dad back. I just got him back."
