Memphis's P.O.V

~BEEP BEEP BEEP~
I awoke to my alarm going off, good, another good nights sleep, I would usually get nightmares that would end in me waking up screaming and crying, fun huh? No. It's not fun at all, and I would rather not talk about them because there no ordinary nightmares, they're memories that i would like to forget.

I look at the time on my alarm clock, 6:30am, I quickly turn it off, jump out of bed and pick out an outfitfor today as well as grabbing my toiletries and a towel so I can shower, no one but Helen is awake at this time of day, Helen runs the orphanage i live at -Almost Home all girls orphanage- and is the sweetest lady you would ever meet. I walk down to the bathroom and turn the shower on and strip down, ew, i think to myself as i look in the mirror, seeing scared and fresh cuts, my 'anorexic' body that i don't think is skinny enough yet, it never will be, I break the train of though and get into the shower, letting the burning hot water hit my skin, I never minded having pain brought to me, to me it was always pleasure, I've always liked it, for example, when i was little i would trip and fall all the time, other kids would cry, i would get back up and go on with whatever i was doing. I washed whatever needed to be washed, shaved what needed to be shaved and got out. Once i had dried my body and got dressed. I walked back to my room put my pj's in the washing hamper, my toiletries in there rightful spot and walked over to my vanity to do my hair and makeup. I blow dried and straightened my hair and put on minimal makeup because I'm not like the other girl here, you can't tell the difference between their face and a cake, seriously, it's that bad.

Since no one is going to be coming trough here to adopt today I grabbed my acoustic guitar off of its stand and sat down on my bed and started to play and sing For Baltimore by All Time Low.

When i finished the song i heard clapping coming from my door, i looked up to find my best and only friend, Tenzin "Why, haven't you eVER SUNG FOR ME BEFORE, YOU'RE FUCKING AMAZING!" she practically screamed at me, "Because I'm not fucking amazing, i suck at singing" i said and sighed "uh, yes you are, you really need to stop putting yourself down because you really are amazing" she said and pulled me into a bone crunching hug "thanks" i barely got out because of how much air she had squeezed out of me "oops, sorry, tehe" she said letting go of me "that's alright, just don't breaking me ribs next time" i said and we started laughing. We stopped laughing and sat in a comfortable silence and i looked over to my clock, 8:30am "do you want to go and get some breakfast before everyone gets up?" Tenzin asked me "sure" i said smiling, i picked up my guitar and took it with me because i was going to go into the front room after breakfast, and also because no one goes in there and Tenzin would understand that i would want some alone time.

I finished my breakfast, said to Tenzin that i would be going to the front room and understood that i was wanting some alone time. When i got to the door that sectioned off i froze knowing i would have to walk through reception, and risk someone seeing me. I took a deep breath in, opened the door and hurried through reception hoping no one but Helen was there "Hello dear" Helen said noticing me, i mumbled a hello and made it safely to my destination.
