Stay Away From My Friends (sequel to Bulletproof Love)

Next day I woke up early, I groaned when I heard my alarm ringing loudly in my ear again. I slowly sat up and turned it off. I stood up and got myself ready like I do everyday.
When I did my hair and makeup and it was all done, I walked over to my wardrobe and pick out an outfit for my day. I chose a BMTH top and some black leggings to go with it. I looked in the mirror and examined my appearance, I looked decent, I thought to myself with a shrug.
I slowly walked downstairs and heard my family chatting in the kitchen. I walked in and saw them sat at the kitchen table.

"Morning sweetie!" My mum smiled.

"Morning" I replied tiredly.

"Sleep well?" My dad asked. I replied with a nod of the head and sat down at the table. I grabbed a bowl and poured some cereal and milk into it.

"So how did the concert go?" My brother asked. I haven't spoken to him since yesterday morning so I haven't told him about it.

"Amazing, everyone loved it!" I grinned. He smiled back at me.

"That's good, you guys deserve to get recognised!" He smiled, "you're great!" He added. I smiled widely at that.

"Thanks little bro" I smiled and hugged him tightly. As much as we argue he's still the best little brother I could ask for. I then ate my breakfast and I heard the doorbell go, that must be Finn. I stood up and put my shoes on.

"Cya later!" I waved.

"Bye" They all said back. I then went to open the door to Finn standing there, he was wearing skinny jeans and The Beatles top, I'm not going to lie, he looked really good.

"Hey Meg!" He smiled.

"Hey!" I said and closed the door behind me.

"How are you?" He asked politely as we walked down the street.

"I'm good, you?" I replied.

"Not too bad, still buzzing slightly from yesterday though!" He grinned and that made me grin too.

"I know, so am I!" I smiled. We then walked to school while talking about a load of rubbish to pass the time. Eventually we made it to school and I saw Matt and Jake by the school gates like they are everyday. We walked over to them and I waved.

"Hey guys!" I said.

"Hey!" They replied.

"Still can't get over yesterday!" Matt said excitedly.

"Me and Finn were just talking about that, it was unreal!" I said with a smile. Then the bell rang signalling us to get to class. I had history with Jake and Matt, I was hardly in Finns classes except gym. We parted ways with Finn and went to class.
We arrived and Mrs Hardy was waiting for everyone to sit in their seats. I sat down and Jake turned round to look at me.

"So you and Finn ay?" He winked. Oh god not this again.

"What about us?" I sighed. I don't know what got into these two and why they're always asking about me and Finn all of a sudden.

"I don't know, you seem close" He said.

"Yes because we're bestfriends, just like I am with you and Matt" I explained. Then Matt turned to us.

"You seem closer though" He added and I just groaned.

"Guys, he's my bestfriend and nothing more!" I said and I turned away from them, they're irritating me. I ignored them for the rest of class.
Once the lesson finished I had gym next with Finn. I got changed then went into the gym, we had dodgeball. I then walked over to where Finn was standing.

"Ready to get killed in dodgeball?" I asked with a laugh.

"Oh yes!" He said. We then got put into 2 teams and I was picked last, shocker. I was put on the opposite team to what Finn was on and I was determined to get him out, I'm better that this game anyway.
The game started and dodgeballs were being thrown all over the place, I dodged most of them and I caught a few. I saw that Finn was standing alone and I picked up a dodgeball. I walked closer and he spotted me. I smirked at him once he knew what I was about to do. He shook his head pleading me not to throw it but I had to. I then threw it and I hit him quite hard, I felt bad but it did make me laugh.
After the game was over I walked back over to Finn.

"Have fun?" I smirked.

"Yeah and thanks for hitting me" He said with clear sarcasm in his voice. I just laughed at him. We started walking around when I wanted to ask him why Matt and Jake keep asking questions about us all of a sudden.

"Can I ask you a question?" I then asked. He just nodded.
"Why do Matt and Jake keep asking me questions about us?" I asked. I wanted to know what had gotten into them two. He looked shocked but replaced it quickly with a shrug.

"Um, I don't know" He said. I just looked at him with a head shake.

"Just tell them to stop, they ask me every lesson!" I said. His face dropped slightly but nodded.

It was now lunch and me, Finn, Matt and Jake sat at the table we sit at everyday, everyone knows it's ours. I sat down and smiled at them.

"How was geography?" I asked Matt and Jake.

"Rubbish, Mr Stevenson is so boring!" Matt moaned which caused me to giggle.

"Yeah, all he does is sit there and moan about how much he hates kids!" Jake added, "so how was gym?" He then asked. I looked at Finn and laughed.

"I got Finn out in dodgeball" I laughed.

"You were beaten just a girl dude" Matt said and Finn groaned.

"I just didn't expect it" He tried to defend himself but we all knew I was better than him at dodgeball. Then all of a sudden one of the popular guys Jason walked up to our table, we looked at him confused, how did he even know our existence?

"Hey Megan, you were pretty good at dodgeball today, I've never seen a girl throw so well!" He said looking impressed. I looked at him in shock, one of the hottest guys in my school actually complimented me, I felt like fainting.

"T-Thanks!" I replied with a weak smile , not knowing what else to say.

"I don't reckon you wanna come to my party tomorrow night?" He asked. My jaw dropped, is he serious? I didn't know what to say. I looked at the other 3 and they look at me with shocked faces. I turned back to Jason and smiled.

"Sure" I agreed. He then smiled at me.

"Great I'll pick you up at 7, can I have your number?" He asked. I nodded and handed it to him, "great see you tomorrow!" He smiled then left. I turned back to the guys in complete shock.

"What just happened?!" Matt asked puzzled.

"I don't know but oh my god Jason just asked me to his party!" I squealed. They all looked shocked still and Finn looked quite sad, I wonder what's up with him. After school I walked home with Finn.

"Can you believe that a popular guy asked me to his party?!" I squealed. I admit I haven't shut about it all day, I'm sure Finns annoyed at me for it.

"I know you've said it enough today" He sighed.

"Are you okay?" I asked suddenly calming down when I noticed that he seemed off recently.

"I'm just fine" He replied. We then arrived at my house and we said our goodbyes. I then opened the front door and saw my mum cooking tea.

"Hey hun!" She smiled as I closed the front door. I walked over to her and smiled widely.

"Hey mum" I replied. She noticed my extremely happy face and asked me what's up since I'm never this happy when I come home from school.

"I got invited to Jason's party!" I grinned.

"Who's Jason?" She asked curiously.

"This popular guy at school, he complimented me at lunch and invited me, he's picking me up tomorrow night!" I explained. She wasn't so sure about the idea by the look on her face.

"What about the boys?" She asked. I looked surprised, I didn't even realise that the guys didn't get invited, I was too excited about me going.

"They didn't get invited" I said. She just sighed.

"Don't ditch them just because a popular guys asked you to his party, they're your bestfriends Megan" She said sternly.

"I'm not going to ditch them mum, it's just one night!" I said, "when's tea?" I then asked.

"It'll be ready in about an hour" I nodded my head and walked into the lounge to where my brother was.

"Guess who got invited to a popular guys party?" I smirked while sitting next to him on the couch.

"Defiantly not you, you're a nerd" He replied sarcastically.

"Oi, I am not a nerd!" I laughed.

"Whatever you say" He said, "so who's this guy then?" He asked.

"His names Jason and he asked me at lunch, I didn't even know he knew I existed" I replied and he laughed.

"Well miss popular don't get drunk or anything" He said like dad would. I just laugh.

"Yes dad" I laughed and he laughed too. About half an hour later my dad got home and he went to talk to my mum in the kitchen.

Tea was now ready and we all sat up at the table. Mum had cooked lasagne and it was delicious.

"So who's this guy?" My dad then asked me as we were eating. I just sighed, of course my mum would tell my dad about it. I didn't want her too because he's over protective and probably won't let me go.

"He's just a guy from school who invited me to his party" I explained.

"Hmm, you don't seem so excited like your mother was telling me earlier" He said and I just groaned.

"Yes I'm excited, he's popular of course I'm excited!" I said.

"When is it?" He asked. He's now in protective mode.

"Tomorrow, he's picking me up!" I replied. He just smirked, "and no he's not coming in so you can't interrogate him!" I added. He just laughed.

"I never said anything" He said while putting his hands up in defence but I know him too well.

A few hours after tea, I was up in my bedroom when my phone buzzed.

From: Unknown
Hey it's me Jason, where do you live so I know where to pick you up tomorrow night? x

I smiled widely, he actually text me. I instantly texted back. I text him my address and smiled, a popular guy actually knows I exist. I squealed and danced around to music for the rest of the night.
