Aliya p.o.v.

I was happy that Alan finally found out a girl nice to him.
I liked Fanny, she was always happy and smiling and I love his pink fringe: it shows her strength to go on alone proud.
At the same time she was very sweet with Alan and it was all he needed after his ex girlfriend who was a total bitch and cheated on him.
At some point of the party I feel the look of Fanny on me, she was probably jealous at first impact, but I hope that – after Alan explain her everything – we could be friends.
For now I met Sofia, Tony Perry’s girlfriends, she is nice, but also sad: like something very bad is just happened to her.
I didn’t feel it was right to ask her what’s up, because it was just the first time we met.
After our pizza Tony and Sofia left and after a while Alan told us he wanted to be with Fanny, so we had a full afternoon free.
“What are we gonna do?”
“I think I will do some surf.”
I said to the guys.
“Can we come with you?
You will be surfing and we will swim or doing nothing on the beach.”
“Sounds fun, okay.
Are you ready for the beach?”
“Nope, let’s see there in twenty minutes.”
We all nodded and I drove my car home, I had a shower, I shaved what need to be shaved and wear a bikini, than I took my surfboard.
I was the first to come so I started to clean my board, whistling “The Phoenix” by the Fall Out Boy. Some boys looked at me, but I didn’t care till someone put hands over my eyes: my heart skipped a beat.
“Guess who is?”
“Austin, you are an idiot! I was going to shit in my pants.”
He laughed and I started to laugh too, his laugh was in some way contagious: no one, after hearing it, could not laugh, it physically impossible.
“Uh, nothing, just cleaning my board.”
“Nice, are you good at surfing?”
“You will see.”
I hated the fact that I was so shy with him around, usually I was an outgoing girl who could chat with everyone. How can I tell him that I liked him if I wasn’t able to talk to him normally?
I was just a stupid girl!
I reproached myself mentally, why was I so dumb?
He couldn’t remain single lifetime waiting for me to tell my feelings.
“Are you okay, Alilya?”
“Yes, why?”
“For a while you seemed not very happy.”
I blushed.
“Oh, it’s nothing. Just thoughts.”
“What thoughts?”
“Oh, nothing.”
“Hey, would..”
“Here we are, people! Let’s go to the beach!”
I could kill Valentino and the guys for interrupt this moment, I’ll never know what Austin was going to tell me.
“Yeah, let’s go!”
I said blankly and then I took my surfing board. It was an hot and sunny afternoon, it was also windy, so everything should be perfect for surfing.
We moved to the beach and the guys planted our beach umbrella and put some blankets.
“Are you settled up?”
“Yeah, girl.”
“Good, I go surfing, bye!”
I left them and I went towards the ocean, the water is a little bit cold, but it’s okay. I swam for a while with my board till a see a big wave.
I swam toward it and tried my best to get at the top, when I finally did it I feel free. There was just the ocean and the blue sky.
I ride another couple of waves then I came back to the shore and saw the guys waiting for me.
“Wow, you’re really good!”
Said Aaron.
“Thank you.”
I looked to Austin and he was smiling.
“You were perfect, you seemed born to do this.
Why don’t you do it professionally?”
I froze all in a sudden.
“I used to be professional, but then an accident ruined everything. I can’t do professional no more.”
I said a bit sharp.
“Oh, sorry Aliya! I didn’t know!”
“It doesn’t matter, I’m gonna go to the bar. Anyone wants something?”
Everybody wanted some popsicles, I nodded and went to the bar on the beach. I was a little bit upset, I remembered my accident, I crashed my head on the board during a competition and I risked to die. It wasn’t nice, my parents were very supportive on me surfing because I brought them a lot of money, after the accident they almost forgot they had got a daughter.
I heard footstep behind me and it was Austin.
“Hey, sorry for before. I didn’t know.”
“It doesn’t matter. Really.”
“Uhm, ok.”
He stayed silent for a while when the barman was giving us what I told him, he started to talk again when we were on half way to our umbrella.
“Aliya, would you hang out with me tonight?”
“With the guys?”
“No, just me and you.”
My heart skipped some beats.
“Hell, yeah!”
“You really enjoy my company.”
I blushed violently.
“Yes, I like it very much.”
“Good!”
He smiled again and paralyzed me, like a spider with its prey. God, this man is the death of me!
We reached the guys and gave them their popsicles and then a comfortable silence fell on us.
After the popsicle Aaron, Phil and Austin decided to swim a little and I was left alone with Valentino.
“What’s up, Aliya?”
“Uh, nothing.”
“Don’t lie. Before you go to the bar you were upset and now you seems quite happy.”
I sighed.
“I will tell you everything just if you swear not to act like a dumb kid or tell everything to the others.”
He looked and me curious.
“Ok, I swear.”
“Remember to not broke your promise or I will break something in return.”
He raised his hands.
“Ok, ok. Calm down!”
“I was asked out by Austin.”
“What?”
“Austin asked me to go outside with him tonight.”
He hugged.
“I’m so happy for you, have a good evening.”
“I hope… I don’t really know why he asked it to me, I’m such a mess…”
“Well, he clearly doesn’t think that.”
I gave him a weak smile, a little worried for the evening.
What if he found out that he hates me and didn’t want to have nothing to do with me?
