What's So Good About Picking Up The Pieces? (Discontinued)

Tony's P.O.V.

I continued to play some more songs,still not being able to completely ignore Mike & Lidia. After a while I could only hear my guitar & my own voice, I wasn't sure if it was me finally getting lost in the music or just them getting gone somewhere else.

I put my guitar down & decided I should just leave before I hear anything else, if you know what I mean. They haven't known eachother long & my sister's not a slut, but who knows what they could be doing in there. I opened the door & Mike was standing there.

"Hey, bro."

"What do you want?"

"You should hang out with us. Don't be a loner, tone-bone." Mike smiled. I rolled my eyes & pushed pass him to go downstairs.

"Woah, what's up? You mad?"

I didn't answer. I went all the way downstairs & grabbed my skateboard from the livingroom, ready to leave.

"Tony, did I say something?"

"Mike. I don't want to hang out today, okay? Go make out with Lidia some more, I'm sure you're having fun up there." I scoffed back. He wasn't doing anything wrong on purpose, but I was still admittedly really jealous.

"Are you jealous?" Mike asked, grabbing my shoulder & turning me to face him.

"No."

"Are you sure? cause it sure looks like it!" Mike yelled once I opened the door to leave.

"Relax, Mike! I'm not gay, I'm not jealous, okay?" I responded.

"Are you sure about that, Tony? You're not into me in any way?" The way he said it made me want to tell him the truth...like maybe he wanted me to like him, that maybe I wasn't the only one feeling like this. I would've said it if it weren't for my thoughts telling me otherwise. When I didn't answer, Mike stepped closer & took a hold of my skateboard. I refused to let go.

"Mike, just let me get some fresh air..."

"Does it bother you when I get close?" Mike asked.

"N-no." I tried my hardest just to hold my ground. Mike got closer, moving his hand up to my arm, slowly.

"How about now? Still gonna lie to me?" Mike asked. His eye's were locked on mine, I pulled away & turned my back to him when I felt heat rise to my cheeks, stepping out the door & getting on my skateboard before he could say or do anything else.

I could hear him call out to me, but I just put my headphones in & went on ignoring him the best I could.



It was already 9 PM when I was getting home, I passed my house a few times & then decided not to go in just yet, when I saw Mike's car was still in the driveway. My phone started ringing, so I was forced to see who it was out of curiosity.


It was Lidia. I groaned in frustration & annoyance, answering the phone & holding it up to my ear.

"What?" I asked.

"Rude. I just wanted to know if you were okay."

"Lidia, stop worrying, I'm fine."

"I'm your older sister, how am I not supposed to worry?" Lidia asked, sounding offended.

"Because I'm a man & I can take care of myself." I replied.

"So um...Mike said you were angry. Are you okay?" Fucking Mike. He would.

"I'm fine...I'm just a little upset, okay?"

"Why?"

"I'm just letting a lot of things get to me. Don't worry about it, I'll be home in five." I replied. I wasn't lying.

"Okay. Love ya."

"Love you too, bye."

I shoved my phone back into my pocket & headed back to my house. When I was there Mike's car wasn't gone yet. I sighed & went inside.


"Tony, finally!" Lidia yelled, hugging me.

"I didn't even take long."

"Yea, but I was worried. I don't want you falling back into your old habits again." Lidia spoke. Mike looked at me & smiled for a second, then he looked curious. I really wasn't wanting Lidia to spill out everything.

"What old habits?" Mike asked.

"Tony used t-" I cut Lidia off before she could tell him anything.

"Nothing. Lidia, keep your mouth shut. That's my business, not yours."

"Sorry...just promise you'll tell mom you're feeling bad?" Lidia asked. Mike looked really lost, but intrigued in the conversation.

"Lidia.." I groaned.

"Please."

"Fine. But I'm not falling back on it, I swear..." I replied. She nodded & she went upstairs with Mike again. I closed the front door & went up to my room, wanting nothing but to sleep.

Hey, I'm sorry I haven't updated in so long! I don't have wifi at my home currently & so I'm at the library updating this cx I only had time to update this because y laptop is dying but of well. Bye, I'll be back in a few days .
