Moon Dance

After an hour long shower, many long days of debate, and conversations with Beau I finally felt that I could make the right decision, or at least a better one that I would have made days ago. I climbed out of the shower and threw on Beau’s mesh shorts and a tank top of my own for once and headed into the living room where he sat playing Left 4 Dead.





“Will you ever not wear my clothes?” he asked, glancing up from the game with a smile on my face.




“The day you stop having nice and comfy ones. Throw me a controller.” I said plopping down next to him, my charm bracelet clinking against the controller.



There was something almost therapeutic about killing zombies and it made me think, what if I killed all the bad things in myself, and then would it be either to chose who I love? Unlikely, considering I still loved them so much but it wasn’t fair to them and it wasn’t fair to me either; I had to make a choice.




“Shh, it’s a witch!”



“I don’t hear-“ Beau started until 30 seconds later he heard it too. “How do you do that?”




“I just have an ear for em, I don’t like em.” I said as I tried to creep around the witch without startling her.



“Dammit Louis!” Beau screamed as gunfire erupted and the witch went after our computer mates.



I giggled, as I hid my character in the corner and waited until the witch was dead before continuing on with Beau’s character at my side. I heard my phone chirped and looked down at it quickly while I killed some zombies and when we hit the safe house I paused it and unlocked my phone to see a message appear from Chris.



When?

I sat for a moment looking at his simple one word text and realized that this was all real. Next week. I’ll let you know the details when I figure it out. I typed back and hit send before getting back into the game.



“Lover boy one or two?”


“Who’s one?” I asked, not taking my eyes from the screen.


“Whoever you love more.” Beau replied taking out a zombie with a headshot.



I could sympathize with that zombie since that’s how I felt right about now, and I wanted nothing more than to just fall off the face of the earth leaving everyone with questions unanswered because that’s how I felt. Just then my phone dinged again and I looked to see a message from Angelo.


Okay, Just let me know when.



I sighed and stared down at the text, they were both so different, yet similar. They both were passionate about whatever they did and they both wanted answers but were willing to give me time to think, and they both loved me and I loved them.




“Come on, let’s go do something.” I said climbing on Beau until his character died causing him to groan.


“Like what Aurora?”



“I don’t know. Anything to get me from being all sappy and sulky, something to postpone this all a little longer.”




“I thought that’s what I did the other day?” he grinned and I slapped him before getting up and heading out onto the balcony.



“We could throw water balloons down on unsuspecting victims.” Beau growled with a smile on his face.



I smacked him and we sat in silence on the balcony until a band call, called his attention away and he headed inside to discuss the next tour. I missed tour, the feel of traveling somewhere new every day, but those days were way over now that I had caused a riff between the two founding members of MIW, I could never tour with them again. I looked out at the sun setting against the horizon and sat lost in my thoughts and memories of a year that had long passed. I pulled out and sent a quick message to both the guys.


I’ve made my choice.



When? Where? They replied simultaneously.






I texted them the destination and time, I had until Tuesday to make sure that I had made the right choice completely. I had given myself two days to determine the most important situation of my life. Shit.
