Moon Dance

The more time I spend with Aurora and see those bright green eyes light up at the sound of my voice makes me realize that I love her more and more. It's amazing to see her so filled with pleasure like earlier today when we all showered together, yet part of me wishes I didn't have to share her. Every once in a while a bit of jealously will creep up and I have to find a way to distract it so when Chris came up with the idea to plan this party for her I was all for it. I blew up some more black balloons and stapled them to the makeshift dart wall and laid the darts out on the table. I could see Chris talking to some of Aurora's friends who had decided to help with setting up while the rest of the guys hung up a sign that said Happy Birthday. After I finished hanging up the balloons I walked over to the snack table and munched on a few pretzels when Chris walked over.

"Hey man, isn't this awesome? Do you think she'll like it?" he asked.

I laughed, " I think she'll love in. Is the cake ready?"


"Yeah I just gotta go pick it up when you head out to get Aurora. Think she suspects?"

"Not at all, I told her we were going to dinner." I replied.

I looked around at The Lost Boys themed party and the little bats hanging from the ceiling. We had the classic movie playing on a loop on the large tv screen in the room and had found cardboard cutouts of most of the characters and sat them up in a section for photos. We had called in our friend Jeremy Saffer and he was more than welcome to help out with photos for the night and everything seemed to be running smoothly. As I greeted more guests, Chris informed me that he was running to get the cake early and that Aurora would text me when she was finished getting ready.

"Hey handsome." someone slurred.

I looked behind me and saw Aurora's cousin, her name was Nichole, I thought?

"Hey." I replied not really paying attention.

"You look so down, want some cheering up?" she winked.

Just then my phone buzzed in my pocket and I mumbled a quick goodbye before getting in the car and heading to get Aurora. Wait, was Nichole hitting on me?




AURORA POV


When Chris told me we were going out tonight I had no idea what to wear and must of changed my outfit like 200 times, I mean where we going to a club or to a fancy dinner? I hadn't the slightest idea and Ange had left with him which aggravated me because I could usually get Ange to tell me whats going on. After deciding on just a simple black dress that had three quarter sleeves and poofed out a little bit around my knees, some all black converse, and my silver moon anklet that Angelo got me a couple months ago. I clasped my C&A necklace around my neck and then combed my hair out and up into a bun, with little ringlets hanging down in the front. I applied a simple cat eye and some lip gloss figuring that lipstick would be a bit much and texted Ange to come get me. I locked up the apartment and headed downstairs and sat on the step until I saw his jet black Audi pull up to the curb and jumped in.

"You look beautiful." Ange said leaning over and kissing my cheek before pulling into traffic.

"What's the big deal anyway?" I asked as we headed into the city.

"You'll see soon enough." he replied and I groaned which caused a small smile to play at his lips. My heart flipped inside my chest and a feeling of love and warmth just overwhelmed me, I loved him so much.


We pulled up to a Victorian looking hotel and Angelo handed the keys off to the valet before escorting me in and up the stairs to a set of heavy looking double doors.

"Surprise!" Everyone screamed when the door opened and I jumped in shock before starting to laugh.

"Happy Birthday beautiful." said Chris kissing me on the cheek while Ange kissed my other cheek.

Soon I was walking around saying hello to all my friends and family that I hadn't seen in a really long time and soon I saw Beau in the corner talking to my cousin Nichole and ran over putting my hands over his eyes.

"Guess who?"

"My secret lover?" he said laughing and pulling me into a hug.

"Aurora, you are interrupting a very interesting conversation with this sexy man here." Nichole cooed.

Beau looked slightly amused and I tried not to laugh at the look Beau was directing towards her. When she finally realized I wasn't leaving she handed him a slip of paper and leaned in real close.

"Call me hot stuff, I'll give you some musical inspiration." she said before slinking off.

I couldn't help but laugh while Beau looked like he had just contracted some STD.

"That's some cousin you got there."

"Who you tellin!? I'd throw that napkin away, it prolly as has something."

"Ew!" he squealed and threw it on the floor both of us breaking into a fit of laughter.

Just then I looked up and saw Nichole's newest target and I suddenly felt extremely nauseous and light headed.

"Are you okay?" Beau asked grabbing my arm.

I nodded, told him I would be right back and headed towards Nichole....who's arms were all over a very unamused Chris.
