Moon Dance

I look back at Aurora and then over at Chris who looks just as shocked as I do.

"You want us both?" I ask, needing clarification for my own sake.

"Yes." Aurora says bravely.

We sit there for a moment, the silence becoming deafening but none of us no what to say as we process this new information.

"That's not all." Aurora says.

We look over at her and see those bright green eyes burning intensely as she stares back at us.

"I want to solidify this relationship and make it official by...well, a uhm...," she begins to blush a bit, "I think we should have a threesome."

Chris starts coughing on invisible air and I can't do anything but look over at Aurora, her green eyes burrowing deep in my soul.

"Why?" Chris asks, his voice gruff.

"Because if you're not comfortable with each other then you won't be comfortable sharing me at all." Aurora says.

Another awkward moment of silence goes by and I sit there thinking, is this really something I want to do? If I walk away it leaves Aurora heartbroken and it leaves me devastated without her in my life. However, if I do this it could be a huge disaster and Chris could hate me forever; then I lose my best friend and the girl I love. I ran my hands through my hair and sighed deeply.

"Okay, I'm in." I say.

"You can't possibly be serious?" Chris asks, surprise in his voice.

"I am. I'd rather do this than lose her all together. Can you say the same?"

We sat there watching Chris, the realization crossing his face that it was now all up to him.
