Moon Dance

"Meet me outside by the side gate."

Shit, why did I just tell her that? I wasn't thinking fully, this girl had a way of making me forget things. I headed out the door and began walking to the side gate, where I could see a small figure waiting there. As I approached I could see her shivering and drumming her hands against her thighs. Was she nervous about meeting me alone? Damn, what did I just do?

"Hey." I said.

"Hey back."

I slowly got closer and took my jacket to wrap around her. Her shivering was so noticeable yet I could tell she was trying to hide it.

"Thanks." she said quietly.

Awkward silence. I've never been one to not know what to say.

"What's your name?"

"Aurora." she replied softly.

Aurora, the girl with the bright green eyes. Finally I was getting somewhere; I just didn't quite know where I was going.

"Wanna come sit on the bus for awhile? It's pretty cold out here." I said.

"Sure."

When we got on the bus no one was inside so I figured I would put in a movie and relax on the couch for awhile.

"Care if we watch The Crow?" I asked.

She smiled and I swear the room got brighter, "I love that movie!" she said as she sat on the couch next to me.

Her being this close I could feel the heat radiating from her and could smell the strawberries of her shampoo. What the hell was I thinking? Get it together Chris, this sappy shit isn't you. The movie continued to play and we continued to sit in silence. When it ended I felt her weight shift towards me and could feel her head laying on my shoulder. I looked down at her and those green eyes stared right back at me.

"Who are you?" I whispered, placing a gentle kiss on her lips.
