I couldn't breathe, my eyes welled up into tears and I could taste the copper of my blood in my mouth. I wanted to scream, run, get away from this monster he had become but I couldn't move and when he reached for me I scooted away in fear, knocking over some guitars. I saw Angelo come towards me and I leaned into his side trying to keep from sobbing as I looked up at Chris; his eyes finally registering what he did.

"Aurora, Please." Chris's eyes are pleading but I can no longer see him the same.

I take Angelo's hand as he helps me up and we walk out together to his car where he sits Mags in my lap. He goes back inside and I sit there the tears finally falling as I look up to see the eyes of the man I once loved. My golden eyed boy.

ANGELO P.O.V.

I helped Aurora to my car and she didn't protest, all she did was sob and hearing that felt worse than the ache in my ribs. I went back inside to grab Aurora's purse and my bag and head back out the door when a hand touches my shoulder.

"Is she okay?" Ricky asks.

I look over at Chris who sits frozen on the couch.

"She will be."

Chris looked up at me then and looked like he wanted to speak but I walked out the door before he had a chance to say a word. I saw him stand as if to follow but one look out the window toward Aurora made him freeze and that's how I left him.

AURORA P.O.V.

As we reach Angelo's house I realize that I'm just to worn out to walk so Angelo carries me inside and lays me on the bed. He grabs the first aid kit and some water before coming back to clean up my lip.

"I don't need you to take care of me." I moaned.

"Sounds awfully familiar." he said with a smile.

After I was patched up he told me to get some sleep and that he was going to take a shower. Every time I closed my eyes it was plagued with nightmares and I laid awake until I heard the shower turn off and saw Angelo come out in a towel, light bruises forming on his ribs.

"Ange?"

"Yeah?" he asked.

"Lay with me?"

He put on some black boxers before crawling under the covers and pulled me to his chest.

"Always."

For the first time since we left the studio, I felt safe.
