Moon Dance

When Aurora had decided that she wanted to watch ‘Total Drama Island’ and make fun of the characters I couldn’t refuse. Her smile was the most amazing sight and her laugh seemed to fill the whole room with lightness. I knew she was trying so hard not to crack but every time she looked up at me I could see a bit of the light behind her eyes dimming. Just then the door slammed and Aurora bolted up and turned around to see Chris.

You’re home early.” She whispered.

“Yeah. Angelo can I talk to you outside?” Chris said, completely ignoring Aurora.
I followed him outside into the hallway and I could see his eyes were filled with anger. I figured I should just settle in for whatever he was going to say. I could see him clench and unclench his fists as he paced back and forth across the hallway.

“Stay away from her.” He growled.

“Chris,” I sighed, “You know I can’t do that and if you try to make her she’s going to be pissed.”

“I’ll deal with her myself; you just stay the fuck away from her!” he said before going in and slamming the door on me.

I headed down the hallway and walked out into the cool evening air and headed down the street. I was just about to round the corner when I heard someone running behind me and calling my name.

“Ange! Wait up.” Called Aurora, tears streaming down her face.

I turned and pulled her into my arms as soon as she reached me. Her whole body was shaking and I looked down at her, her eyes held no hint of emotion, it was like she was frozen.

“He told me to leave Ange. He told me t-t-o-“

“shhh.” I whispered stroking her hair.

I held her close to my body was we walked to my house and when we got there she just just collapsed on the couch. I could see the exhaustion in her face and when she fell asleep I carefully carried her and laid her on the bed. I watched her for a few moments, the rise and fall of her chest, her hair falling into her face, the way her lips were slightly open, almost in a seductive pout. She was so beautiful to me and I knew I could never have her.

Shit Chris, you didn’t want me around her but you pretty much push her towards me, I don’t know how much longer I can do this.
