The Painter.

Vic's POV

Summer time.

Only twenty more minutes of class left till it's officially summer vacation and I'll be a senior. I tap on my desk impatiently, I swear these last twenty minutes last longer than the whole school year it's self.

This summer I plan on writing new songs, earning some money so I could finally pay off for the guitar I wanted to get since I was fourteen.

Mrs.Summers was in middle of telling the whole class how she's going to Jamaica when someone knocked at the door.

"Come in!" She yelled ever so cheerfully. No one answers for about two minutes, I hear slow talking some laughing & an evil smirk plays across my face.

We've been planning this since the beginning of the year. Mrs.Summers get annoyed so she walks over to the door to answer it.

Then BOOM.

Mike, Tony & Jaime burst into the classroom waving around the water guns they spray painted black.

Mrs.Summers starts to scream at the top of her lungs.

Tony throws all of the paper off her desk into the air.

As planned the class freaks the fuck out & Jaime walks
over to me.

"Stand up on the desk Fuentes!" He shouts. I burst out into laughter & pull out my spray painted hand gun.

"HANDS UP Y'ALL MOTHER FUCKERS!" Mike says to the whole class.

Slowly everyone raised their hands & what do you know we point the guys at all of them.

"Count to ten!" I yelled trying to hold in the laughter.

"One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
Five
Six.
Seven.
Eight.
Nine.
Ten."

At that exact moment the bell rings & the guys & I squirt our water guns, laughing our asses off.

"SUMMER BREAK BITCHES!" Mike shouts & we run out of the school squirting anyone we pass.

This is the best way to start our summer break.

Aleah's POV

"Dad why can't I be normal & go to a public school this year? It is my senior year. Please! I'm tired of just going to private schools." I plead to my father.

I know it's kind of useless to even ask but it's worth a try.

What ever my dad says, goes. It's been like that after his second marriage or was it his third?

I sit in the living room with my father, his new wife Brittany & her daughter Lucy is who is the same age as me.

If you really think about it than this is my dad's longest marriage like ever.

My father looks at me & sighs.

"I'll think about it sweet heart. Why don't you & Lucy go do some shopping? New town right. It means bonding time for you & Lucy as well." I look at Lucy & she smiled.

Lucy & I get along really well. I only agree to get my new mom to persuade my father to let him agree to going to school with Lucy at Mission Bay High this fall.

I drive my dads 'sorry' car to the mall. He gave it to me for missing my sweet sixteen.

"Hey Lucy."

"Yeah Leah?"

"Let's go walk around San Diego? I mean I never walked around before & you know these streets right?" She smiled lightly.

"Alright! Let's go. Just park the car here."

I do as she says I lock the car & we set on our journey, me packing my pepper spray.

She gives me a weird look.

"Better safe than sorry!" I tell her.

When we were walking, we see guys all dressed in black with guns running our direction. I pull out my pepper spray until I notice they're spraying people with water.

They run right past us, the shortest guy running into me tripping me.

"Oh fuck I'm so sorry." He said right away helping me up.

"It's alright. I guess I should've moved out of your way like Lucy did."

He held out his hand again. "I'm Vic. Vic Fuentes."

I grab his hand in a firm shake. "I'm Aleah. Aleah Diamond."

He let's go & winks at me.

"See you around Aleah." & catches up to his friends.

I never did see his face.

It has a nice ring to it.

This is a great start to the summer.
