My World is You

The next day I awoke on the couch with June’s head in my lap and someone was knocking on the door but I heard a key get put into the lock and Vic peeked his head in, I smiled sleepily at him.
“How is she doing?” He whispered after he kissed me forehead
“She’s doing pretty well.” I said
“Are you able to get up?” He asked
“Gimme a minute.” I said
He nodded and walked into the kitchen.
“June, sweetheart I have to go to the bathroom.” I said
She let out a sleepy moan and just lifted her head enough for me to slip out from under her, she laid her head back down and I walked into the kitchen.
“Is everything okay?” I asked
“Yeah I was wondering if you figured out why she did it.” He said
“It was mom’s fault, she was calling June useless because she wasn’t cleaning the already clean house and she said some stuff and it just got to June and that little flame took control.” I said
He nodded and pulled me into a hug.
“Two.” He said
“Two what?” I asked
He shrugged.
“You are a strange little Mexican.” I smiled
“I’m not a Mexican I’m a Sexican.” He winked
I heard June get up and her heavy footsteps came into the kitchen. I looked over and she was just standing there, her hair was a mess that needed recolored in some placed. Her Avenged Sevenfold T-shirt was twisted as well as her pajama pants.
“Are your arms stiff June?” Vic asked breaking the silence.
She moved her arms around a bit.
“Sort of, they sting a lot. I think I moved too much in my sleep and ripped a stitch or something.” She said
“Come here let me look.” I said
She nodded and dragged her socked feet across the floor, she sat down on one of the mismatching bar stools. I looked up and around and Vic had disappeared, I shrugged and started to unwrap her left arm and I looked at the bandage, it was covered in blood, I looked down at where the stitching was and she had ripped at least two stitches.
“Fix it October, I’m bleeding.” She whined
I thought of something I could fix it with and then I remembered when I sliced my eyebrow open playing football with Mike and Jaime. They took me to the hospital and they like super glued the gash closed. I had medical super glue in my first aid kit.
“Vic!” I called out
“Behind you.” He said
I looked back and he had my first aid kit out and he was pulling the things I would need to rewrap her back up.
“Can you hand me my medical super glue that’s in there?” I asked
He nodded and handed it to me.
“I’m going to need your help.” I said
He came over.
“Yes Capitan?” He asked
“J this may hurt because I have to pinch the skin together right there.” I said
She squeaked.
“Squeeze my hand June.” Vic said
She took his hand and I squeezed the skin together and quickly glue it together.
“That wasn’t so bad.” June said
Vic smiled.
“Am I allowed to shower with the stitches in?” She asked as I was changing the bandages on her right arm.
“Not right now because they are very new but in a few days to a week you can.” I said
“That’s gross.” She said
“I can wash your hair in the sink and you can take baths just don’t get the stitches wet.” I said
“Okay.” She said
I nodded and looked at Vic who was patiently waiting for my attention back.
“Go change that shirt smells.” I said to June
She smelled it and made and face, she hopped off of the stool and walked upstairs.
“Why aren’t you raising her?” Vic asked
“What do you mean?” I asked
“You’re mom clearly wasn’t a great one, I know that first hand because I basically lived at your house cause you got grounded from leaving that one time..” He said
I remembered that, it was my sophomore year and this girl and her boyfriend were picking on me and telling me I was a slut because a rumor went out that I was pregnant with Mike’s baby. But any who I was already having a bad day and the girl was making it worse by getting into my face, let’s say she made the first hit and I finished it.
“I’d be okay with raising June but I can’t.” I said
“Why?” He asked
“Because when the adoption agency would look through my file and see that I’d attempted suicide more than once and she had to I’d be deemed unfit to take care of her.” I said
“That’s utter bull.” He said
I shrugged and he pulled me over to him by my shirt and kissed me.
“Get a room love birds.” I heard June groan
“You know you love it.” I said turning to face her
She had on a pair of basketball shorts and an oversized Avenged Sevenfold shirt.
“Got a thang for A7x?” Vic asked
“October and I share common interests Vic my friend. She can’t really swoon over anybody with me because she has you but if she did we would go to Avenged Sevenfold concerts and swoon.” June said
I laughed because of the look on Vic’s face and about how true that statement was.
“October you know it’s true that if Matthew Sanders wasn’t married and showed up naked at your door you’d jump on that.” June said
“True but I love my Sexican.” I said
Vic smiled and stuck his tongue out at June.
“I’ll give it to you your boyfriend in sexy but Ray’s is better.” She said
“Someone got a thang for turtle?” Vic asked
“Could you stop using the word ‘Thang’?” June asked laughing
“I’ll stop using it when my eyes turn purple.” He said
She rolled her eyes and walked into the living room.
“I love that you get along with all of my family.” I said
“I love that you get along with Mike.” He smiled
I smiled and kissed him.
“Come on tour with us.” He whined
I shook my head.
“You know my answer and my reason baby.” I said
“I know, I’m hoping to get you to agree.” He smiled
June walked in.
“What’s the Mexican whining about?” She asked
“He’s trying to get me to go on tour with them.” I said
“When do you leave?” She asked
“Her birthday.” Vic said
“Oh Vicky that’s shit.” She said
She always called him Vicky and he pretended with her that it annoyed him, but it only really annoyed him when Mike called him it.
“Will you stop calling me Vicky?” He asked her
“I’ll stop when you grow some balls and marry my sister.” She smiled walking back into the living room
I laughed at the face he was making and he grabbed my side and started tickling me.
