My World is You

I woke up to tapping on my shoulder, I opened my eyes a tiny bit and Ray was tapping my shoulder.
“Ray what are you doing here?” I asked
“I didn’t want to be on tour anymore. I realized after you and Lindsay were gone it was sort of boring with the no sex on the bus rule.” She said
“So you’re home for the rest of the tour?” I asked sitting up.
“Yeah.” She said
I smiled
“December called your phone earlier and I picked up. She said Christmas is going to be at her house.” She said
I nodded and smiled.
“December has fun Christmas parties. They open presents in the morning with their kids and then their kids go to grandma’s and then everyone else opens their gifts.” I said
“Oh that sounds fun.” She said
“You’re coming right? I asked
“I suppose.” She smiled
I smiled.
“So I was thinking do you want to go get a tattoo with me?” I asked
“Sure!” She squealed
“We have to get June though. I want a sister tattoo with her.” I said
“Can we get best friend ones?” She asked
“Definitely.” I said
“Well call your sister.” She whined
“Hand me my phone then.” I said
She picked my phone up off of the coffee table and handed it to me. I called June and waited for her to answer.
“Hello?” She chirped
“Hey girly I have a question.” I said
“Shoot.” She said
“Do you want to come get tattoo’s with Ray and I?” I asked
“Do you really think mom is going to let me get a tattoo?” She asked
“You’re eighteen and for all they know I’m your guardian.” I said
“I’ll get one if we get matching ones.” She said
“Deal.” I said
“Pick me up in about an hour.” She said
“Okie.” I said
I heard Alan whine for her to come back to bed in the background.
“You dirty slut.” I laughed
“Shush. I’ll see you later.” She said
I hung up and looked at Ray.
“She’s fucking Alan at the moment so we have an hour.” I said
“Just enough time for us both to shower.” She said
I nodded and pulled myself up off of the couch. I walked upstairs and into the master bedroom and immediately walked into the bathroom. As I undressed I looked at myself in the mirror, I needed a haircut but maybe I would let my hair grow out. I had always cut it shoulder length, maybe I’ll make a change. I got into the hot shower and washed up. When I was done I toweled off and got dressed in a pair of yoga pants and a loose fitting t-shirt.
“You look cute.” Ray said as I walked into the living room
She was wearing sweat pants and a tank top that obviously belonged to Tony.
“You too.” I said
“It’s been about an hour let’s go get June.” She said
I nodded and picked up my phone shoving it into the waist band of my yoga pants. I grabbed my keys off of the wall and we walked out and got into my car.
“This is your first tattoo isn’t it?” I asked her as I pulled out of the driveway
“Yes ma’am.” She said
I smiled.
“I can’t wait to see your face in pain.” I smiled
“Hey hurtful. Tony and I talked about getting a tattoo together but I was too much of a little bitch. Maybe I’ll get my Star Wars tattoo while I’m here.” She said
“I think you should get a ninja turtle.” I laughed
“I’ll think about it.” She said
I plugged my iPod in and started playing a song that Jaime sings called I’m The Secret.
“And I just fell in the deep end like a lush without her weekend but I wrote this for you kid it’s not what I wanted, I needed. But man it’s a long trip, from all the crazy things I've seen in this world. I'm blessed, I guess.” I sang along with it
“Who is this? He sounds familiar.” Ray asked
“It’s Jaime.” I said
“NO FUCKING WAY THIS IS JAIME!” She yelled
I laughed.
“I find it difficult to sleep when all the walls they just seem to speak to me. And it’s kind of funny that i laugh because my hearts so fucked up I can barely stand the sights and sounds of the cars outside, the red and greens on the traffic lights. The only thing I got is this; the only thing I want is this... Memories that make me smile, a girl to stand there so she can admire the way I can never ever really keep my hands to myself. but the alcohol it taste so sweet, when its mixed with lies and defeat of all the battles i lost and lost again. But what if you were the secret, and i didn't see it. And I swear to god I wish these thoughts of mine could create the sunshine as beautiful as your eyes I'd paint this night sky. And it’s not like you need this, I just wanted you to see it tonight.” The song finished
“That is Jaime!” She shouted
“You didn’t know he could sing?” I asked
“Not at all.” She said
I pulled my iPod off and turned the radio off as I pulled into Austin’s driveway. I laid on the horn and then June came out and ran to the car.
“I’m nervous.” She said after shutting the door.
“Don’t be nervous.” I said
“It’s going to hurt.” She whined.
“Only for the beginning.” I said
She nodded and I drove to the tattoo shop.
“Hey ladies what can I do for you?” The huge man at the counter asked
“Hey I was wondering if someone could tattoo the three of us.” I said
“How many?” He asked
“One for her.” I said pointing to June. “Two for me.” I said
“And two for me.” Ray said
“You gals are lucky we are totally empty today we can fit you in.” He said
Ray clapped
“What are you planning on getting?” He asked
“Well me and her want sister tattoos.” I said pointing to June.
“And she and I want best friend tattoos.” Ray said pointing to me.
“What are your names?” He asked
“June.” June said
“Ray.” Ray said
“October.” I said
“October that’s an interesting name.” He said
I nodded
“So Ray you said you wanted two what was the other one?” He asked
“I was thinking a Star Wars tattoo.” She said
“Okay we can do that. How about we get the matching tattoo’s done with you can October and I’ll send you to someone else to do that Star Wars one.” He said
“Sounds good.” He said
“I’m Jon.” He said
We went back to his tattooing room. We told him what we were wanting and he started with hers. We were getting half of a heart that’s broken down the middle and they’ll say Best Friends but that’s broken in half too. She gets Be from Best and Frie from Friends and I get the other half, they were going to be on our writs hers on her left mine on my right. When he started she screamed a bit but got used to it, when he was finished with hers he put the ointment on it and wrapped the gauze on it. He got up and left the room, when he came back in he had a smaller man with him.
“Ray this is Luke. He’s going to do your Star Wars tattoo.” Jon said
Ray got out of the chair and smiled.
“I’ve done a few Star Wars tattoo’s on the guitarist for a band. He thinks they turned out awesome.” Luke said
I looked at Ray and she smiled have a guess at who he was talking about. They left and Jon started on my matching one to Rays.
“What were you two girls thinking as sister tattoos?” He asked as he started the heart on my wrist
“Maybe like the infinity symbol with the word sister on it.” June said
“I could do that.” He said
“It’s a plan.” I said
“October do you want me just to go right into yours and then do hers?” He asked
“Yeah.” I said
“Where would you like it?” He asked
“Just on my other wrist.” I said
“What about you June?” He asked
“My shoulder. I don’t think I can endure the pain of one on my wrist. I’m not completely healed yet.” She said
I had forgotten all about her attempt.
“What happened if you don’t mind me asking?” Jon asked
“A failed Suicide Attempt.” She said
“Ah I completely understand. I have had three failed ones.” He said
“Same here.” I said
“Hmm are you two only sisters?” He asked
“Nope.” June said
“We have four other sisters and two brothers.” I said
“Big family. I have me and my brother Luke.” He said
“The Luke that’s tattooing Ray?” I asked
“Yeah he’s my little brother.” He said
He finished my heart tattoo and wrapped it up. He walked around to his sketching station and sketched out the next two tattoos and showed it to us. They were awesome so he put them on the stencil and started my tattoo. When he was done he started on June’s and she began to cry.
“June bug it’s okay.” I said
“It was that first few.” She said
“I know.” I said
When he finished hers Jon went to see if Luke was done.
“He’ll be another like two hours so you two can either sit around here or go venture.” He said
“WE could go next door and get your hair redone.” I said to June
She nodded.
“Can you tell Ray to call us when she’s done?” I asked
Jon nodded and we walked out of the tattoo shop and to the hair salon next door. We got June’s hair redone how it was and June stared at me.
“What?” I asked
“Can we get our nails done?” She asked
I nodded. We walked over to the nail salon and the Asian lady looked at us.
“How may I help you?” She asked
“Can I get acrylic French tips?” June asked
“Yes. And for you?” She asked
“The same.” I said
She nodded and took us to two different stations. After that we just walked around until my phone started to ring.
“Hello?” I answered
“Come back for me.” Ray whined
“On our way.” I said
I hung up and June and I walked back to the tattoo shop, when we walked in it was Jon, Luke and another guy.
“Hey welcome back.” Jon said
I paid for mine and June’s tattoos and Ray paid for hers.
“This is Paul.” Jon said pointing at the new guy.
“Hi Paul.” I said
“He’s our piercer. Paul this is October and June and you already met Ray.” Jon said
“Nice to meet you.” He said
“So girls we were wondering if you guys had boyfriends.” Luke asked
“I do.” I said
“I do too.” June said
“I do as well.” Ray said
“What are their names? We’re probably better than them.” Paul asked in a cocky manor
“Paul.” Jon said
“Sorry he’s cocky.” Luke said
“I’m dating Alan Ashby.” June said
Their jaws dropped.
“Tony Perry.” Ray said
“I did his Star Wars tattoos.” Luke said
“What about you October? Do I have a chance?” Paul asked
“Vic Fuentes and no.” I said
They all looked at each other.
“Sorry about that. You girls have a good Christmas.” Jon said
I smiled and we all left the store.
“Who’s house?” I asked
“Yours.” June said
I nodded and drove us to my house.
“Let me see your Star Wars one.” I said.
She nodded and took her tank top off. She had a Stromtrooper helmet tattooed on her ribcage, it looked fucking awesome.
“Tony’ll love it.” I said
“I can’t wait till they’re done with tour.” She said
“Me either.” I smiled
“So are we all up for a girls night?” June asked
We both nodded. We all grabbed some bedding and made a little campsite in the living room. We ordered a pizza and watched movies while we ate. Eventually we were all passed out.
