The Love of An Computer Artist

Ch. 2: Follow Your Instincts

This was the most emotionally painful ride that I ever had to endure because not only was I sweating buckets all over myself in the passenger seat, but I also had to listen to Jae Jung sing along to the same song about seven times; talk about pure torture. As much as I love her, there are things about her that I just want to avoid like for instance; if she hears a song just once, she will sing it throughout the entire day. This one time, we were in middle school and Hannah Montana was just coming out and for some odd reason, the theme song got struck in her head. Imagine having to share a bedroom with someone and having to hear the Hannah Montana theme song throughout the night while trying to sleep for a whole week. Well, this is what I had to put up with and still till this day I have to deal with it.

“Shay, we made it!” Jae Jung’s sudden outburst pulled with of my thoughts and that small moment of ease was gone. We drove around until we found a proper parking space that wasn’t too far away from the club. I watched as Jae Jung placed her car keys in her purse and got out the car, why is she moving so fast? I wish she would slow down. Tap. Tap. Why was she tapping on the car window? I looked around for a second then I realized I hadn’t gotten out yet. I released the breath I was holding in and got out to join her side. ‘Let’s just get this over with already…’ I thought as we walked up to the entrance and standing at the front was the biggest man that I had ever seen. He literally towered over us as we showed him our IDs before he let us inside; once he opened the door, I was instantly thrown back by how loud and vibrant the music was. Yeah, this definitely wasn’t the place for me; I was starting to have second thoughts about this. Sadly, Jae Jung grabbed my arm and pulled me inside before I could run.

If you thought it was loud when the door opened, it was even worse on the inside and there were people everywhere; they were some at what appeared to be a red/purple bar, some were dancing on each other on the dance floor, people were chatting—on the crimson couches against the walls and other appeared to be on the outside patio either smoking or just taking a break. The more I scanned the place; I noticed that Club Instinct used different versions of purple and red to decorate the place. It would take a lot for me to loosen up and actually interact with people in here. I didn’t realize that I zoned out until I could feel Jae Jung repeatedly tapping my shoulder.

“Hey, I see those one of those guys from your job sitting at the bar, how about you go talk to him and maybe get a drink or something?” I followed her gaze and sure enough, sitting at the bar was Jeff as he played around on his phone with a drink raised to his lips.

“You know, I don’t drink Jae…” I replied as I ran my fingers through my short dark sandy-brown hair.

“I know, but it will loosen you up a bit, just make sure you get something light. No hard stuff okay?” She gave me a quick squeeze then quickly made her way to the dance floor. Oh great, now I’m alone…I might as well go sit with Jeff and do what Jae Jung said.

It was so hard maneuvering through the crowds of people especially since they were either rude or too drunk to care. I didn’t know that I would be soon joining them. I quietly made my way to the bar and holstered myself up into the stool next to Jeff. Something on his phone must have been very important because he didn’t even notice that I sat down.

“Jeff…,” I said in my softest voice and his head turned towards me, I quickly noticed how his eyes went from solemn to excitement instantly.

“Shay, what are you doing here? I thought you wasn't coming. Did you come alone? You look beautiful in that outfit by the way.” He said after embracing me in a warm hug then ordered him another one of those blue drinks.

We conversed and laughed at the dumbest things for I don’t know how long, I even ended up getting some drink that the bartender recommended for me or other beginners, Malibu Coconut with pineapple juice and some orange zest in a martini glass; I think I had like six of those and I could already feel the effects of it. I would have stopped at two, but it was so delicious. I even sipped a small amount of Jeff’s drink that ended up being Gin and blueberry syrup; I didn’t like that drink very much. So I just struck to my drink, why change a good thing with a bad thing, huh? For some odd reason, I wanted to dance and got damn it, I was going to dance with the next guy or girl that I saw. Thank goodness for the fact that I had some drinks in my system.

I spun around in my bar stool and scoped the room until I saw the most unbelievably handsome guy in the room and I just couldn’t take my eyes off him. I was a bit nervous since he was sitting with a group of guys over in the corner of the club. From what I could see, one of them was clearly intoxicated since he was messing with another guy’s face. I quickly got to my feet, well more like kind of stumbled or tricked over my feet, because I felt soooo relaxed; I guess it was the effect of that liquid courage. Before I could even have second thoughts, I was already walking over to their group with shy grin playing on my lips. The guy I had my eyes on, had the cutest little dermal piercing under his left eye, he was covered in tattoos and boy, was I a sucker for tattoos. The more I looked him over, the more I loved what I saw especially the way he smiled; his smile was genuine and I love how it reached his eyes, you could clearly see how happy he was. The thing about him that was most attractive was his hearty laugh that would make you laugh just from hearing it.

Tony’s P.O.V

I was enjoying the thrill of finally being off of tour and getting to relax for the next eight months while working on the next album. I was so ready to let have fun with my boys and that’s exactly why we came to Club Instinct: to have fun and drink as much as we could before the night was done. I was too busy laughing at how Mike was picking on Vic to even notice that someone was approaching me.

“Leave me alone Mikey…” whined Vic as Mike tried to play with his nose piercing, “Can’t you just leave it alone?”

“Nooo...ooo it’s so shiny,” slurred Mike as he continued to torment his older brother. I was about to say something when Jaime bumped me with his shoulder and started gesturing with his eyes that someone was coming towards us. I didn’t turn around until I felt the softest touch against my shoulder like a fallen feather.

“Excuse me?” her voice was so calming and gave off a hint of fear, so I had no choice but to turn around and when I did, I was stunned. Standing before was a beautiful ebony skinned girl with a small smile on her face, she was so breath-taking and all I could do was just try not to stare at her. I watched as she stretched her hand out for me, “Would you like to join me for a dance?” I nodded and took her hand as she lead me to the overly crowd dance floor. While walking away from my table, I could hear Mike muttered something along the lines of that ass though, only Mike would say something like that. With me being a guy, I look down at what he was talking about and saw that she did indeed have a small ass that was perfect for her small frame.

Once we found a spot, I watched as the music took over her body as she turned to face me and started swaying her hips along to beat of the music; to be honest with you, I could tell she was possibly shy since she kept avoiding my eyes whenever she looked up. All I could do was softly place my hands on her hips and sway to music. While glancing around at the other people dancing, they were so aggressive that I couldn't help worry about them hitting her.

Shay’s P.O.V

I will totally blame the way I was dancing on this man on alcohol because I wouldn’t be caught dead dancing on someone like this especially not a couple stranger. The more we dance, the more I was got into the rhythm of the music that flowed all around us, I once spotted Jae Jung dancing with some guy with red hair, whose hands were all over her…creep. After a while the people around us were getting to rough, so I suggested to the guy that we get some drinks and maybe talk a little and to my surprise, he agreed. He suggested we have a shot contest and like an idiot, I accepted it without fully thinking; he explained the rules and the bartender lined up twenty shots each and we began. Let me remind you this was my first time drinking a combination of Jack Daniels and Jameson and after the thirteen shot, I was wasted and hiccup-ping all over the place. Surprising he looked unfazed by them since he was able to down all twenty of his with no problem. I felt like it was time to leave, the bartender called me a taxi since I couldn’t find Jae Jung and I went home, but I wasn’t alone. The guy, whose name I hadn’t gotten was coming home with me and what happened next wasn’t what I expected.

We made it to my apartment and Jae Jung's car wasn't there...sadly. I pray that she is okay or soomewhere safe. The guy helped me walk up to my front door and took my keys out of my hands then unlocked it for me. Once we got inside, I decided that it was too late for him to wonder outside at this hour so he took the couch and I stumbled upstairs. After 10 minutes of lazily pulling off my clothes and I drunkenly climbed into my bed.
