Telling The Truth.
Jaime's POV
The other night with Ellie and Megan was so good. It made me realise something.. maybe I still do have a few feelings left for Ellie. But that's bad because I'm happy with Katie, this is so fucking annoying.
I was sitting at home cuddling with Katie on the couch watching Marley and Me, one of her favourite films on the tele.
"I love this film, though it always makes me cry" She said.
"I know baby" I said as she tells me this all the time. We practically watch this film every week. All through the film, I kept thinking.
Should I tell her?
I kept thinking over and over, it a seriously eating me alive keeping this from Katie but I'm worried about how she's going to react.
but she does deserve to know right?
"Hey babe, I need to talk to you.. It's kinda important" I said as the film finally finished.
"Oh god, your not breaking up with me are you?" She asked looking scared.
"No, no! Defiantly not. I just don't know how you'll react to this.." She just looked right into my eyes.
"Whatever it is, just tell me" She said as she was rubbing her hand up and down my arm to soothe me.
"I-I, umm. Well the other day I ran into my ex that I left over 4 years ago, it was the first time I've seen her. We met up again the other day just to catch up because of all the years I basically ignored her, which I shouldn't have done, and um. When I dumped her, our relationship ended really badly to be honest, I just ended it out of the blue" I stopped and looked at her, she looked a bit confused to why I'm telling her this but she nodded for me to continue with the story.
"I wasn't really thinking at all, I just panicked and ended it, but when I left I didn't know something" I sighed and just said it "I never gave her the chance to talk, she was going to tell me that she was pregnant.. I'm a dad and I never knew for 4 years. I have a 4 year old daughter and I never knew until like 2 days ago" I looked down I didn't want to look at her, I was worried what she would do.
It was really quiet, so I looked up and she was just staring at nothing with a shocked face.
"I, um. Have you seen her, your daughter I mean?" She suddenly asked.
"Yeah, I met her properly yesterday night, that's why I was a little late home last night" I explained.
"Oh" was all she said.
"I was going to tell you yesterday but I just needed to get my head around it all, I'm sorry" I bowed my head down looking at the floor. She placed her hand under my chin and lifted my head up so I was looking into her eyes.
"Hey, it's fine. I understand. Look I can't exactly stop you from seeing her, she's your daughter.. I'm still your girlfriend and I'm going to be there for you as much as possible, you can't get rid of me that easily" She winked, making me chuckle in relief.
That made me feel so relieved to know that she was okay with this, if I lost her I don't know what I would do.
"I'm so happy to hear you say that, I didn't want to loose you" I said as I pulled her into a tight hug. She pulled away slightly and she gently pressed her lips against mine, I deepened the kiss slightly making her smile into the kiss, I wrapped my arms around her waist pulling her closer to me, this was perfect. She then pulled away biting her bottom lip slightly, she stood up and took my hand smiling. I stood up and picked her up bridal style and walked upstairs to the bedroom.
Ellie's POV
I was at home sitting on my couch trying to calm down Megan.
When she was at Josh's, she got a little bit to excited and fell down the stairs, when it happened Josh immediately rang me to let me know. I left work as soon as he told me because I didn't want anything else bad to happen to her while I wasn't there.
When I got there she was sobbing on Josh's chest while he was singing a song to her to calm her down but it wasn't working. I took her home and now here we are, she's sitting on my lap, still crying and I don't know what to do, I feel like a terrible mother saying that. Luckily she wasn't hurt except I think she hurt her arm so I put a bandage round it to save it from getting worse.
Then my phone buzzed in my pocket.
"Hunny, I need you to move a little while mummy gets her phone from her pocket" I said to her, she nodded slightly and move a little, I got my phone and saw that it was a text from Tony.
Tone: Hey Ellie, as I'm not busy today, want to meet up?
I thought about it, maybe it's a good time to tell him about Megan and then maybe he could help me calm her down, I then replied.
Me: Sure! Why don't you come round, I'm back from work now?
Tone: sounds good, where do you live?
I text him my address and he said he would be about 10 minutes, that gives me a little bit of time to tidy up.
"Princess, one of mummy's old friends is coming round, so I need you to calm down for me okay?" She nodded, "and when he comes, we can watch a film and eat all the ice cream we want, how does that sound?" She then smiled for the first time in a while and nodded happily.
I moved her off of my lap so I could tidy the house up a little because it was an actual tip.
Knock, knock, knock..
Fantastic, he would be early. Oh well. I walked up to the door and opened it to see a very smiley Tony.
"Turtle!" I said pulling him into a hug.
"Well I haven't been called that in a while" He said.
"Get use to it now" I replied with a smirk. He just laughed. I welcomed Tony into my house. We walked into the lounge and Megan was sitting on the couch falling asleep a little.
"Who's this?" Tony asked.
"Funny you should ask, um. Tony this is my daughter Megan" I said. He looked a little shocked but he smiled.
"Hey princess come here and meet my friend Tony!" I said to Megan, she looked up at us and walked over.
"Hi I'm Megan" She said to Tony with a smile on her face.
"Well hi there Megan, I'm Tony" She hugged him to his surprise but he smiled at her gesture and hugged her back. That's what I loved about her, she so confident with people.
"Tony, I'm going to get some ice cream, why don't you and Megan pick a film and we can watch it together? Considering I did promise her" I said him.
"Sounds good!" He smiled, "let's go pick a film" He said chucking Megan over his shoulder, that made her giggle a lot, I just laughed at them 2, but I left them and went to the kitchen.
I got 3 bowls out, went to the fridge and got the vanilla ice cream out to defrost a little bit.
I put the ice cream in the bowls equally and drizzled some chocolate sauce on it. I picked up two of the bowls and went back to the lounge. Surprise surprise they were watching star wars.
"Your daughter has great taste in films Ellie" Tony said as he took one I the bowls off me and I gave the other to Megan who was sitting next to Tony.
"Oh god, I forgot how obsessed you were with Star Wars as well" I said laughing while going to grab the other bowl of ice cream from the kitchen for myself.
As I returned I saw that they were both way into the film. I sat next to Tony and he put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer, that made me feel happy and made me smile.
"So can I quickly ask you a question?" He whispered in my ear.
"Shoot!"
"Who's the daddy, is he not in the picture?" I looked at him, contemplating whether to tell him but I thought that Jaime would rather do that so I decided against it.
"Um he sort of is, he has known long though" I said looking down, Tony just nodded, realising that I didn't really want to talk about it and went back to watching the film. I'm thankful that he didn't push the conversation any further. I'm so glad that Tony is back in my life, he's always cared a lot about me and I'm grateful for that and I can tell that he cares about Megan already even though he's only known her for like 2 hours.
All through the film we just cuddled together, it made me really happy.. I have my best friend back.

Ellie's POV
