Ellie's POV - Next day

I was rudely woke up by a small person jumping and yelling at me. I looked over a the clock 7:20am, I groaned when I realised how early it was for a Saturday morning.

"Megan what are you doing waking me up so early on a Saturday morning?" I asked sleepily.

"You said we could go to the park today mummy, so I want to wake you up and remind you!" She whined in excitement. She was so excited but I refused to get up at bloody 7:20am. After a few minutes of Megan pulling my arm and begging me to get up, I slowly sat up and rubbed my eyes. By this time Megan was satisfied that I was awake and ran out of the room, giving me time to get up properly. I stood up and put on my fluffy slippers and dressing gown and exited my room and headed down stairs to the kitchen.

As I entered the kitchen I saw Megan getting annoyed because she couldn't reach the cereal in the cupboard. I chuckled at the sight, I made my way over and picked up the cereal box and gave it to her. I opened another cupboard got out 2 bowls for both of us.

"Mummy, what time are we going to the park?" Megan asked.

"Well if you eat your cereal and go get ready then we can, okay?" I replied.

"Yay! I'm so excited" After that she sat there eating her honey hoops with the biggest smile on her face. When we had both finished eating, I picked her up and walked upstairs to start to get ready.

I decided to help her get ready first because she loves to help me with my make up. I opened her wardrobe and picked out an outfit for her, I decided to go with a pink short sleeved top with belle on it and a pair of kiddie jeans, I showed her the outfit and she put her thumbs up in reply.
After I helped her get washed and changed we both went to my room to get myself ready. I didn't have to do anything with my hair because it still had a slight curl to it so that was okay, so I started off with make up, I didn't wear a lot of make up just a bit of mascara and foundation, I went for the natural look. While I was doing that I saw in the corner of my eye Megan looking through my wardrobe with the cutest concentrated face, she stuck her tongue out while she was concentrating.

"Found an outfit for mummy yet?" I asked, slightly making her jump.

"I found a top for you but not sure about the bottom" she said as she pretended to stroke her chin while she was deep in thought, she is a strange child of mine. She had picked out an All Time Low top, even though I was older I was still insanely in love with bands, that will never change. I put my top on and just threw a pair of skinny blue jeans on.

"All ready, come on baby let's go to the park!" as I said that she squealed with excitement, I've never seen her so excited. She took my hand and dragged me downstairs and I put on her shoes for her, then put mine on. I picked up my car keys and left the house.

We both got in the car, Megan was in the back seat sitting in her car seat jumping and down. I put on her favourite cd which was Disney songs of course. All the way there we were both singing and laughing at each other.

I pulled up to the park and got out of the car, I got Megan out of her car seat and placed her on the ground, as soon as her feet hit the floor she fled for the park. I locked the car and quickly ran after her. As I caught up to her she was already trying to get on a swing, she wasn't tall enough to get up herself so she stood there frowning with her arms crossed and waiting for me. I laughed at my sulking 4 year old and lifted her on the swing, when I slowly started to push her the frown faded and was replaced with a huge grin.

"Higher mummy, higher!!" she shouted getting excited, I pushed the swing higher, not to high for her to fall off but high enough for my liking. I looked at her as she was swinging and I smiled, it was the best thing in the world seeing daughter smiling. After a while she got bored of the swing and ran off to play with another little girl so I left her alone for a little while and sat on the nearby bench. I reach in my pocket for my phone and I had a missed call from my best friend Josh, I didn't even hear my phone go off so I quickly called him back.

"Ellie! why didn't you answer me? I haven't spoken to you in forever" It was true, I hadn't seen or spoken to Josh in a while because I was so caught up in looking after Megan.

"Sorry joshy, I've been busy with my little munchkin, how are you?"

"Oh I miss that little one and I'm good, I need to see you both soon. How about I pop round later to see you?" Josh asked.

"That sounds great, I think Megan's starting to miss you just like I am"

"Okay, is 3 alright for you?" He asked.

"That's perfect, see you then bye" I then hung up smiling like an idiot, I didn't realise how much I had missed my best friend right until that phone call. I put my phone back in my pocket and stood up to get Megan. All of a sudden I heard a too familiar voice which I wished to never hear again.

"Ellie?"...
