Then It All Goes Black.
Ellie's POV - next morning
I woke up, I was way too tired to move but I knew I had to because I had work.. the joys. I slowly sat up and looked at the clock.
7:30
I groaned. I had to be at work by 9 so I got up and started to get ready. I walked over to my wardrobe and looked for an outfit. I looked through for what seemed like forever and then I finally found a decent outfit. I picked a Green Day top with my dark blue skinnies. I left my hair wavy and did my usual make up, I didn't have time to do anything else. When I was finished I looked in the mirror and smiled, I looked decent for once. It was now 8:10 and I still had to get Megan ready.
I walked over to her bedroom and saw her still fast asleep on her bed. I went over to her and gently shook her.
"Sweetie, it's time to get up now" I said as I tried to wake her up.
"Whyyyy?" She whined as she hid her face in her pillow.
"Mummy has work and Joshy is expecting you" I said. She suddenly sat up with a big smile on her face, I knew mentioning Josh's name would make her happy.
"I'm seeing Joshy today?!" She squealed, I just nodded in response, "yaaaay" She shouted dragging out the 'a'. She then eagerly got up and got ready. When she found an outfit she was happy with, I helped her get changed into it. She picked a pink top with fairies on it and a pair of jeans.
When we were both done getting ready, I picked up the signed top for the young girl and we left the house. I locked the door behind me, put Megan in her car seat then got in the car myself and drove to Josh's house. Before I drove off I quickly text Alex.
Me: sorry that I didn't show up last night, last minute things happened, maybe we can arrange another time?
He then replied.
Alex Gaskarth: don't worry, and sure we can. Just text me whenever.
I smiled at his text and walked off.
All the way to Josh's house I played Pierce The Veils new album Collide With The Sky, Megan didn't know that it was her daddy's band but she was sure enjoying it which was a very good thing.
"Do you know, I count your heartbeats before you sleep, I bite my fingernails to bone" I sang along to Bulls in Bronx loudly and Megan laughing and dancing along in the back. I was so glad that she enjoyed Jaime's music, I know she's only 4 years old but it's good to know that she likes the music that her dad makes because he would be pretty upset if she hated or didn't really enjoy it.
I got to Josh's in just under 10 minutes and I pulled in his driveway. I hopped out, opened Megan's door and helped her out for her car seat that she hated, she hated that fact that she had to sit in that seat till she gets older. I lifted her out and placed her on the ground, she took my hand and dragged me to the door. I knocked a few times till the door was opened and Josh was standing there smiling.
"Hey, haven't seen you two in a while" He said as he pulled me into a tight hug. I felt bad that I haven't seen Josh ever since the Jaime incident, I didn't want him to feel like I was suddenly replacing him with Jaime because that would never happen, Josh will always be my bestfriend.
"I'm so sorry I haven't seen you in a while, I promise I'll make it up to you" I smiled.
"You better" He winked which made me laugh.
"Anyways I have to go but I'll see you later" I said, "bye princess, be good for Joshy won't you?" I told Megan as I kissed her forehead. I said goodbye to Josh then I left for work.

"Hey Ellie" Bryony said as I walked into the shop.
"Hey, feeling better now?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine now" She smiled.
"Good" I then excused myself and went to my office that I use when Mr Samuels isn't here. I put my coat and bag on the back of the chair and sat down. I saw all the paper work that was sitting on my desk and I groaned so loudly I'm surprised no one heard. I seriously wasn't in the mood to do it but if I didn't do it now I would never do it, so now was my only choice. I signed a load of papers and other things then 40 minutes later I was done, but my hand was aching from all of that writing.
I went out to the front of the shop to see how things were doing. The shop wasn't too busy but it wasn't completely deserted either. I then saw the girl that I saw yesterday, I quickly got my bag and grabbed the t-shirt that the guys had signed and I walked over to her.
"Hey" I said. She turned around and looked at me.
"Hey" She grinned widely.
"Here you go, the gift I promised you" I said to her as I handed over the t-shirt. She took it and screamed.
"OH MY GOD" She screamed, "thank you so so so much, this is the best gift ever" Then she pulled me into the tightest hug ever.
"It's fine sweetie, I told you I would give to you" I smiled. She was jumping up and down in excitement which made me laugh, it was so cute.
"Seriously thank you so much, I still can't believe this" She looked shock and excited at the same time.
"I have to get back to work but I hope you like your gift" I smiled.
"I do thank-you, goodbye" She waved and walked out of the shop with the biggest smile I have ever seen on anyone's face. I walked around the shop and then I saw Ryan all by himself working so I went over to see how he was.
"Hey Ryan, how's everything?" I asked as I saw him folding more clothes, I swear that is all I see him doing.
"It's been okay, just a usual day" He smiled. I went over and helped him for a while.
Few hours later me and Ryan did our usual lunch break and went to Starbucks for a coffee. We took our coffees and sat down in the corner.
"So how are you Ryan, we never talk about you, the conversation always ends up about me?" I asked because its true, I never ask how he is or what his life has been like. It's always been about me and how my life's going.
"Everything's going good" He smiled, "you know Hayley?" He added.
"Hayley, yeah I miss her! How's everything with you two lovebirds?" I asked wriggling my eyebrows about. Him and Hayley have been in a relationship for over 3 years now, they are like the perfect couple in my eyes.
"We're great. I'm going to propose to her soon" He smiled. I just squealed so loudly that I got weird looks from strangers around me.
"Oh my god Ryan, I'm so excited for you!!" I squealed. My excitement made him laugh a little.
"Do you think she'll say yes? I'm so nervous Ellie" He said.
"Are you kidding? You two are the perfect couple, she loves you so much Ryan, of course she'll say yes to you!" I reassured him.
"I really hope so, I'm taking her out for dinner then I'm taking her to our special place at the beach and then I'll propose" He smiled proudly. I'm so happy for Ryan, he really deserves to be happy.
"She's so lucky to have you Ryan" I smiled.
"Thanks Ellie, that means a lot" He replied. Me and him spoke for about another 10 minutes then we headed back to the shop when our lunch breaks were over.
The rest of the day at work went pretty quickly, I folded shirts, did more paperwork and served some customers. Me and Jaime texted a few times during the day, seeing how each other were and just things like that. Me and Jaime are in a really good place now in our relationship, I feel like me and him will be able to work, there are still a few issues but we'll sort them out eventually.
I left work about 4:30 like usual. I got to my car and hopped inside. I turned on the Collide With The Sky CD and drove home singing along loudly.
Traffic was a pain in the ass, there was a massive queue because people were leaving work so traffic built up and I was stuck in it.
Finally, it started to die down and I started to move. As I was driving down the road, I was singing and just enjoying the music. I was concentrating on the road, I stopped at a red light and when it turned green I zoomed off. I then heard a loud car horn getting louder and louder, I quickly looked to my side and saw a lorry coming right my way, it didn't even seem to be slowing down. I lifted my arms up to my face and expected the worse.
Then suddenly I felt the lorry collide with my side of the car. I felt my car flip and then it landed on the side. I felt a sharp pain in my head and the whole of my body hurt like mad. I was struggling to breathe properly because I felt something sharp stabbing me in my chest. I hesitantly looked down and I started to cry, glass had stabbed me in the chest. I couldn't move, my leg was caught on something, everything just felt completely numb.
I felt the car move slightly and I faintly heard noises but I was going in and out of consciousness, probably because of lack of blood so I wasn't really listening. Then I saw a figure in front of me, I don't know who it was but they placed their hand on my neck, probably to check if I was still alive because the way I was I probably looked dead.
"Miss, can you hear me? The ambulance is on it's way!" The stranger said. I couldn't make a noise or say anything because when I tried it felt like I was being kicked in the throat.
I then heard a faint noise of a siren, it got louder and louder. I heard more people trying to talk to me and move me but I couldn't respond to them, then after that my eyelids felt really heavy and were threatening to close, I tried to keep them open but then everything went completely black..
