Austin's POV:

The sound of a loud dinging noise broke me from my sleep reminding myself and the other passengers aboard the plane we had to return to our seats, put on our seatbelts and refrain from moving around the aircraft. This meant we were about to land so I switched off my iPod and ripped the ear buds from my left ear whilst resting my head against the window of the plane taking in the view below me of Brisbane, Australia. The sand rolled over the ridges of the ground, sparkling as the sun hit the grains and the waves crashed hard onto the surface of the glowing sun. Further in the distance I made out the harsh black tarmac of the airport surrounded by hundreds of tall trees, right next to the tarmac was the grey building of the airport where we would soon be standing.

"Boys, we're back!!" I grinned at my excitement among my whisper, it'd been two years so it was always an experience when we got to Aus. I didn't expect a reply though Alan, Phil, Tino and Aaron were all still dead to the world. I don't know why I was talking to myself. Breaking me out of my thoughts was the feeling of a tap on my shoulder from the seat behind me as I turned I saw a young girl about fifteen, her smile was pulled from ear to ear and her pale, delicate face was surrounded by thick, orange hair. With a smile that big she was obviously a fan.

"Hi! You're Austin Carlile," she giggled, her grin now even bigger than before. "I don't mean to sound weird but I've been waiting for you to wake up the whole flight so I could say hi.." she trailed off in a train of thought as she realised she might of sounded a tad creepy.

"It's fine, I've had a lot worse," I chuckled and she relaxed. "What can I do for ya love, a photo, a signature?" I questioned.

"Oh no I don't mean to put you out saying hi to you was just fine!" She squirmed in her seat in excitement.

"Don't be ridiculous, chuck us your phone!" She did as I said and I clicked on the camera button and lifted my head just above the seat and she leaned in smiling just as I took the shot. While I was passing the phone back to her I noticed the OM&M phone case. I yanked back her phone startling her but I smiled to reassure her and she relaxed and noticed I'd pulled out a marker. I signed her case and handed it back. She thanked me and sat back in her seat.

I turned back to my seat and smiled, I loved meeting the fans and making their day. About five minutes later we were on the landing strip so I shook each of the boys shoulders violently until they awoke from their deep slumbers. Tino wasn't very happy with me for waking him.

''What the hell Austin we better be here if not I swear I will beat your fu-" I threw my hand over Tino's mouth to prevent him from swearing in front of a cabin full of families.

''Dude we're here get up and get your bags from the overheads," I mumbled and he did as I said avoiding all the stares from the angry parents because of Tino's abrupt yelling.

We we're all in the baggage pick up area now waiting for our bags to come around on the conveyor belts when I saw the girl I had been talking to on the plane just earlier. I looked at the boys and nodded my head in the direction of the girl. I was only now noticing her Of Mice and Men shirt and so were the boys. They understood what I was hinting. We made our way over to the young girl.

"She sat behind us on the plane I already signed her Of Mice phone case but all you bozos were still asleep, you guys can make her day," they nodded in agreement and hear head spun violently around when she heard my voice.

''How you going love, nice shirt you got there!" Alan yelled across the airport winking and waving at her and she squealed in joy. Her parents stared at us obviously confused.

"Hi," I shook each of their hands, "I'm Austin and these guys are Alan, Tino, Phil and Aaron. We don't mean to alarm you we're from the band Of Mice and Men and judging by your daughters shirt she's a fan so we thought we'd say hi," they smiled and relaxed after I explained the situation.

"Thanks Austin, she's had it pretty rough lately her grandmother passed away while we were on holiday in the State's so we made the next flight back to make the funeral. She hasn't turned her iPod off since, you guys were blasting the whole time," her father explained with a sad smile lingering on his face gripping strongly onto his wife's hand.

"I'm sorry for your loss sir." I trailed off, thinking about my own Mom, whilst walking over to give the young girl a hug and comfort her.

"OI DUDES!" Tino again yelling, I rolled my eyes, "Our bags are on the belt lets go get 'em!" I looked over and sure enough there they were so we said our goodbyes to the young girl and her family and collected our baggage.

We walked outside the large automatic doors of the airport and looked around for our ride and as I turned away I was startled by Phil's loud yell.

"Yo guys, there he is, the guy at the black van with the sign that says Of Mice and Men," I followed where he was pointing and made my way over to the car, the boys following. Nodding towards the driver, I didn't bother asking his name, I didn't want to come off rude but we'd have a different driver in each state he was simply driving us to the hotel and I just wanted to get to the hotel and sleep for hours on end before our Australian tour started in a few days.

Because all of us were so tired and suffering jet lag we sluggishly chucked our luggage in the trunk, jumped in an nodded off to sleep without another word.

Sorry about the slow start to the story, I wanted to use the start of the story to introduce the area they are in and why the band is in Leilani's home town rather than jump straight into Leilani's story but that's to come in the next chapter. Also this is my first fanfiction so I hope it's okay for all of you :)))
