The Great Escape of the Past

*beep, beep, beep*

I slam my hand down on the size button of my alarm. I just end up laying there for about 10-15 minutes. I get and take a shower.

Then I started to think about my dream or well actually memory. I can't believe that happened six and a half years ago, and disappeared from that life and took Mike with me six years ago. I hate myself for leaving Amber, but it was for the best.I decided I should get my mind off of things and hang out with the guys.

The guys are Jaime Preciado, Mike Fuentes (my little big brother and the only one who knows about my past but not what I did to make me leave), and Tony Perry. We're all in a band together called Pierce the Veil. Jaime's bass, Mike's drums, Tony's guitar, and, I, Vic Fuentes is the lead singer and also play guitar.


After the shower, I went to have a group call with Jaime, Mike, and Tony. After the call we decided to go hang out at Denny 's for breakfast. Man, was this going to be a long day.

When I got to Denny's, I saw the guys instantly. Jaime was jumping and running around all over the restaurant. Mike was arguing with the manager for not letting him smoke a joint. Tony was trying to calm Mike and the manager down.

I went and tripped Jaime, grabbed him, and sat him down at a table. I went over to Mike and told him to sit his ass down or he won't be able to smoke or drink in the house if he continues this.

We went and sat down. Talked a little bit as we waited for our food. Then, all of a sudden, she walked in and that's when I turned pale. I started shaking.

She looked absolutely magnificent with her bright red hair and stunning tattoos. She's changed a lot. Before she only had the tattoos and more of a orange-red hair color. Why would she be in San Diego?

"Dude, are you okay?" Tony asked.

"What do you think? He's pale, well as pale as you can get with dark skin, and shaking like crazy." Mike sarcastically said to Tony.

"Well you never know!" Tony shot back.

"It's her." I said barely above a whisper so no one can hear me.

They all followed my gaze and that's when it hit Mike right in the face. Tony and Jaime were saying she's a major babe, while me and Mike stayed silent and avoided talking about it. That's when stupid ass Jaime yelled for her to come and sit with us. She came over shaking her head.

"Why do you want me to sit here?" She said clearly annoyed.

"Come on, why is a beautiful girl like you here alone?"Jaime said trying to be charming. Mike and I looked the other way from her, trying to avoid her noticing us.

"Vic? Mike? Is that you guys?" She said stunned. We looked over at her and her eyes widened.

"Hey Amber, it's been awhile." I said awkwardly, trying to avoid her gaze.

"Hey Am." Mike said also trying to avoid her gaze and trying not to make it awkward.

"Wait, hold on, you guys know each other? What? How?" Jaime said clearly confused. Tony realised that's why I started freaking out.

"Yeah, we know each other but it's a really long story. I don't want to tell it or it'll bring up horrible memories." I said trying to blink away the tears.

"Vic, you know, you have a lot of explaining to do, right?" Amber said trying to hold in her anger.

"Yes, I know. Sit down we're going to talk why I left and what happened. So it all started when..."
