The Great Escape of the Past

I went to answer the door. There stood the one person I didn't want to see me like this is or at least not at all. There stood James.

What was he doing here? Why was he here? Questions like that ran through my mind more than Speedy Gonzalez!

"Hi Vic." He sounded really serious.

"Hey James."

"Look I want to apologize for everything I did to you and for breaking into your house." He was looking down, straight up embarrassed.

"Don't even worry about that."

"Wait, you're not mad? Why?" He looked with such wonder.

"Yeah, pretty much. I mean you probably weren't thinking and you were just keeping the promise."

"You remember the promise too?!"

"Yeah. You wanna come in?"

"I don't want to intrude, again. Plus, I just wanted to apologize and try to be friends again or at least mutual."

"Sure why not!"

"Thank you! Well I should probably go. Bye!"

"Bye!"

I closed the door. I mean, I wouldn't mind being friends with him again. It's just that he came at the wrong time.

My cuts were hissing at me. I changed the gauzes that were seeped through with blood. I went to bed thinking about everything. Let's just say I wasn't really in the state of mind for this kind of stuff.
