Everybody but Vic had left to get my "surprise" for my birthday, Vic said he already had mine, its eating me up not knowing what is so secret about my gift.

Vic and I were cuddled on the couch watching tosh.0 when I heard a knock on the door.
Vic immediately stood up, "I'll get it" he said running to the door, I didn't think about it twice I just continued to watch tv.
it was the episode where Daniel was giving away his Subaru and I was watching all the people that had made a video of them doing things to win it.

After what seemed like the longest time Vic and mom walked in laughing about something, for once in a long time my mother was actually laughing.
Vic must have super powers, either that or laughing gas.

Anyways, my mother finally calmed down and sat down next to me, she dug around her purse until she pulled out an envelope, "your dad wanted me to give this to you"
She said handing it to me.

I Took the ivory colored envelope and opened it, there was a picture of my father holding me when I was a baby, he looked happy.
There was also a note that said


Dear Melony, I can't believed you're already eight teen, it feels like it was only yesterday that I was giving you piggyback rides around the park.
I will never forgive myself for making you go through such misery.
But you need to know that I always loved you, you are my world Melony, I never meant for you to have to go through that.
I know I will never be able to fix what I have done, but I just want you to know that I love you so much.

My face was covered in tears when I finished reading the note.

I stood up and ran to the kitchen to where the home phone was hanging on the wall,
I picked up the phone and dialed his apartment.
It rang a few times, then he picked up "hello?" He said sounding like he was crying,
"Daddy" I said trying not to cry, "honey, I'm so sorry" he said sobbing,
"Dad,I love you" I said, "I love you too baby, I always did" he said clearing his voice,
"Dad, will you come over?" I asked wiping away old tears, "of course,I'll be there soon"
He said, "ok bye"I said hanging up the phone.

Vic walked into the kitchen and pulled me in for a hug, "let's go sit down" Vic said kissing many forehead, I nodded and followed him back to the living room.
"I'll cook dinner" my mom said dismissing herself.

Vic sat down opposite of me and held my hands, "Melony Ann Mathers, I know I've only known you for about two months now, but I also know that I am in love with you, and that will never ever change, I want to be with you for the rest of my life",
He let go of my hands and dug around his pocket,I started crying again, "Vic" I said with tear streaming down my face, he pulled a small box out of his pocket,
He opened it revealing a silver ring with a blue diamond, it was beautiful,
"Will you marry me?" He asked looking into my eyes, this was a dream come true,
"Of course I will Vic, I love you so much" I said hugging him tightly, he pulled away and put the ring on my finger, it fit perfectly.

Vic had asked my mother for permission when she arrived, and at some point asked my father.

We were once again rested on the couch when the door opened and the guys Cindy and Kathy barged in, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" they all yelled, tony ran up to me a picked me up off of the couch, he carried me on his back to the door,
"Tony what the fuck?" I yelled holding onto him trying not to fall, your surprise awaits he said, everybody else was following behind, once we got outside and he put me down my jaw dropped to the ground.
"Holy shit you guys!" I yelled running to the black corvette, "How did you guys afford this?" I asked admiring it, "well, three of us are in a band and two of us had some money saved", Kathy said hugging me, "thank you guys so much, I love you all"
I said going around hugging everybody.

"oh my god Mel! What is on your finger?!?" Cindy screeched pulling my hand u where everybody could see, I looked at Vic and smiled, "Vic asked me to marry him" I said grinning like a goof ball, "Mel! That's amazing!" Kathy screamed pulling me in for a hug, "one down, one to go" she whispered in my ear, I chuckled a little and pulled away as a car pulled up.

It was my dad, he got out of his car and ran p to me, I looked at home for a minute before pulling him into a hug, "I love you dad" I said squeezing him,
"I love you too" he said returning the squeeze.

We all went in and began dinner.

This had to be the best day of my life.
