We're All Crooked Young

The room seemed to be frozen in time as Matt looked down to see a huge hole in the middle of his chest.



We all turned to the shooter.




"You... You betrayed me.." Matt mumbled through bloodied lips as he dropped lifelessly to his knees and falling head first unto the ground.






Arlet got up and rushed over and hugged the shooter tight.





"Oli... you saved me" She whispered brokenly burying her head in his neck.





She ran over to Ricky and kissed him passionately as we all went over to Oliver.






Cass hugged him tight but his eyes were fixated on Matt's lifeless corpse.





"You saved us all Oli" I whispered thankful but he was still holding onto the gun tightly and shaking.






"I-I killed him. ..." he whispered apologetically.





"I killed a man... my band mate ... my-" he uttered apologetically before I cut him off.







"He was a monster Ol. He wasn't a friend. .." I whispered as Cass walked away to comfort Arlet and I placed a hand on his shaking shoulder.








"You did the right thing .. he probably would have killed us all , if not for you" I finished and he smiled softly.








"I just needed to finally do something that wasn't hurting the people I loved. ." He whispered and I pulled him over away from the body.








"You did do a good thing. You saved us all .. you're a good guy Oli" I whispered and soon the cops came rushing in and clearing the area. The sounds on ambulances rang through the thin night air.







I could see blood on his cheeks and neck and I swallowed thickly. "How about we go get you cleaned up?" I questioned and he nodded.








We both walked out the building along with the others.







After Oli walked over to the ambulance to get cleaned up , he finally gave the cops the gun.







I walked over to the ambulance that Arlet was in and immediately , everyone turned to me.






"Is he okay? " Arlet questioned sounding concerned and I nodded. "He's just really shaken up about it.. we all are" I whispered and she nodded as she wrapped the grey blanket tighter around her with her one hand and held on to Ricky's hand tighter with the other.






Cass came up behind me and hugged me tightly.





"Babe .. that could of ended so badly if Oliver wasn't there. .." She mumbled into my back and I nodded.





"I think it's time to bury the hatchet. Oliver may have done many things but he saved all our lives. He deserves a second chance. " I trailed off as Oliver came walking up. Ricky went to say something When I interrupted him.






"Rick, I know you don't like him but-" I rambled before getting cut off by him.





"He saved my wife .. he saved me and my family and my friends. I can never repay him but I'll start by calling him a friend of mine. " Ricky breathed out thankfully as he extended his hand out to Oliver .







"Oliver , here's your second chance. .. at everything. " I whispered and he nodded before taking Ricky's hand and shaking it.








"Finally you two kissed and made up" Cass teased making us all laugh.







Arlet got up and walked over to Oliver.




She pulled him down into a tight hug with her arms wrapped around his neck.





"Thankyou. . For everything" She whispered.





"You never had to thank me .. I'll always be your hero ." He whispered apologetically and they both smiled.





"This may have been a fucked up night but let's say we all call it a night?" Chris boomed fatherly and we all groaned.





"Hell no ! Who's up for drinks? ?!" Alan exclaimed and everyone raised their hands.





"We're not letting ANYTHING spoil this night for Arlet" Andy barked and Arlet smiled wide.







"You all are truly my family. .. I love you all " She whispered brokenly burying her head in her hands.





"We all love you too Arl" Cass purred pulling her into a hug and everyone joined in.





After the tight embrace , Balz raised up his hand high.





"LET'S GO GET FUCKED UP!" He examined happily making everyone laugh.




As we all got in our cars , and drove to the Bar. I couldn't help but think. ...
