We're All Crooked Young

"How does it taste Arl?" Cass questioned pulling me out my dark thoughts.



I hummed as the red velvet cake tainted my tongue.


I'm glad this was the last cake taste and with only two hours left until the wedding , I was beyond excited yet still nervous.


"I like it. This is the one" I whispered and all six of the other bridesmaids nodded in response.



Good thing we decided to get my dress sent to the house and we as the Bridesmaids had our dresses sent to the beach house.



Cass got up and gave the order to the chef and we left. As we drove to the beach house , I found myself biting my freshly painted black nails. Suddenly , I got a text from Ricky.

My heart started to race at all the possibilities as we pulled up to the house.

I clicked my phone screen off as we got out the car. The sunset cool breeze flowed past my skin and the sky was scattered with pastel blues , pinks , purples and oranges.




I would have enjoyed the sight if I wasn't a worried wreck. We walked into the house and immediately pulled on our black sleek lace dresses. They fit and hugged our curves and made our breasts look two cups bigger.



The hairstylists and makeup artists all worked on us as the beach was turned into a wedding setting. After all was said and done , my hair was curled to the roots and my makeup was dark and flawless , I heard my phone vibrate hard against the glass table and I bit my lip .




It took an hour for him to reply back , just as I was about to grab it. I heard a loud gasp , I turned around to see the most beautiful sight. Cassandra walked down the stairs in a stunning deep blue and black lace sweetheart neck line dress. Her long dark hair was pulled her into a bundle of curls and sparkles . Her pale skin gleamed against her dark makeup.




The dress was long and tight against her curves and I couldn't have been more stunned when I saw the diamond ring gleaming.



We all got up and looked her over.



"Oh . My . Fuck ! Cass you look amazing! !" Amber squealed making us all laugh.



"Thanks. Guys.. I think it's time . I'm about to get hitched bitches !" She giggled making us all laugh. As if on cue , Cassandra's dad came out and smiled brightly. He was covered in tattoos and had medium length black hair.



"Are you ready my little spider princess? " He questioned happily and she nodded frantically smiling wide.



"Yes dad . " She replied and walked over to him and took his arm. We followed them outside and the scenery was perfect.




The chairs were all black and silver and bunches of black roses were everywhere . The huge crowd of people were all sitting and waiting on us . I could see Austin's family and his dad was near tears.



I held my breath as they all saw us and I could see Austin perk up at the alter.



The song 'Space Enough To Grow - Of Mice and Men' started to play softly and I saw Austin's eyes widen.



Cass smiled because she picked this song without him knowing.



I could see Tino , Phil, Alan , Ricky , Chris and Aaron standing beside Austin dressed in black suits and blue ties. Austin on the other hand had a black suit and all black tie. The song ended and the crowd sat down. The bright lights shined down on us leaving the crowd to disappear into the darkness.




We stood beside Cass as her dad gave her away.



I could feel myself tearing up because I know my father could never do that for me.



"With this hand , I give my only daughter to you kid. Break her heart and I'll break my foot in your ass. " Cassandra's dad bellowed and Austin swallowed thickly.




"I-I won't S-Sir. " he whispered before getting a pat on the back by him as he walked away. Everyone looked at the pastor and I could feel the love. Austin was gazing so hard at Cass that I'm sure her face couldn't get any redder.





"Who has the rings? " Pastor questioned and as if on cue. Austin's baby cousin waddled down the aisle in a little white suit carrying a black velvet pillow with two rings on them.



The crowd 'awed' as Austin took the rings , thanked the toddler and sent him to sit down.




"Now repeat after me ... With these rings .. we bond two souls for eternity. For life and death are two of the most permanent decisions , so is marriage. " The pastor spoke and they both repeated in unison.



"Do you have your vows ready? " He questioned and Austin nodded.



He picked up the ring and slid it on her finger. It was silver with a huge red diamond and Cass gasped.



"Cassandra Blare Slaughter , I've always thought that love didn't exist. I thought it was just a feeling for the guys in books . I always thought that I lost my heart when .... , " he whispered starting to tear up as he looked at the seat his mom should have been sitting in. ," I lost my mom. But I ended up finding it again when I met you. I never would have imagined myself here . But with you in my life ... I wouldn't see myself anywhere else. I love you with every ounce of my being . " he whispered and she smiled wide as she picked up his ring and slid it on his finger. It was a silver band covered in diamonds wrapped around it.





"You've always been the rose in my field of daisies. I know I was a wild horse but somehow your sweet smile and dorky ways tamed me. You showed me so much compassion and respect that I never got from any guy. You saw me as me .. not just for my body ", She whispered making everyone 'aww'. "... and as for your mother. .. it would have been an honor to have met the woman who raised such a amazing man." She whispered as tears finally flowed down his cheeks.



She reached up and wiped them away.




"If that's all ... then do you Austin Robert Carlile take Cassandra Blare Slaughter as your wife?" He questioned. . Austin nodded frantically smiling wide .


"And do you Cassandra Blare Slaughter take Austin Robert Carlile as your husband? " He questioned and she nodded frantically smiling wide.



"Well then , Austin. . You may now kiss the bride. " he whispered and they both smiled before Austin pulled her into the most passionate kiss he could produce. The crowd went wild and I swear I saw the stars shine just a bit brighter.



They ran down the aisle and so did everyone else to head to the reception.



Just as I was about to go as well , Ricky grabbed my arm and pulled me into a tight hug and kiss.



We pulled away and his bright eyes focused on me.



"Baby. I'm so glad you're not mad ! I was so sure that you would be. " he uttered apologetically and I shot him a confused look.



"What are you talking about? " I questioned. "Well about the strippers and the stripper kissing me and Austin getting lap dance?" He uttered apologetically and my heart shattered.



"W-What? " I whispered brokenly.




"You didn't read the text? !" He examined sadly and I nodded before pulling away and running to the reception.



I can't believe he went to a strip club. .. how could he?!



I quickly wiped my tears and went over and hugged Cass tight in congratulations. They sat at the only white table in the room.




The music was playing as everyone ate and danced. "You okay Arl?? " She questioned sounding concerned.



"R-Ricky ... They went to a strip club .." I whispered and her eyes turned to Austin. "You went to a strip club? " She growled at Austin . "Babe I -" he pleaded guilty laced in his tone before she cut him off.



"Did you cheat? " She questioned sounding pissed. "Of course not!" He examined defensively and her gaze softened.



He kissed her and she smiled softly before turning back to me.


"If that's all they did then it doesn't matt-" She whispered before I cut her off.


"A stripper kissed Ricky , Cass." I pleaded and her smile dropped. Before she could respond Ricky yelled my name and the music stopped.




"Arry please can we just talk about this!" He pleaded and I turned to him.



"No ! I don't want to talk to you .." I screamed over the music being turned back on . Chris and everyone else crowded around us.


"Chris ... what happened at the strip club? !" Cass questioned pulling me closer to her. "I'm sorry .. we got Austin and Ricky drunk and got them strippers for their bachelor's party. .. a stripper got too hyped and kissed Ricky but he immediately pushed her away. I promise Arry." He pleaded and all the guys nodded in agreement.




Another one of my headaches came on full force and I clenched my jaw.



"Okay ! Whatever I forgive you " I finished angrily and Ricky looked at me.



"Are you fucking kidding me? ! I would have thought you would have screamed at me more ... You've been so different recently. All the secret calls and emails and loss of sexual intensity ... are you cheating on me? Because if you are tell me now .. because the Arlet I know would never give in that easily" he growled obviously annoyed and I looked at him surprised.




This mother fucker has the audacity to accuse me of cheating.




I balled my fist and before I could register myself, my fist collided with his jaw.



Everyone gasped .



My blood was boiling and I could see the bruise forming on his face as he looked back at me with shocked blue eyes.





"Wanna know why I've changed? ! Wanna know who's been on the other side of those phone calls ?! Well here it is ... YEA ... I've been cheating on you . But wanna know the kicker ?! The person I'm cheating on you with is death . You fucking prick! ..." I growled and he looked at me shocked .











"I have fucking CANCER ... and the person on the other line has been my doctor!" I spat and I swear I saw his heart break through his eyes as the color drained from everyone's faces

Did anyone enjoy the wedding I'm pretty sure I did but thank you all for the birthday wishes you're aLl very sweet and I love you all all of you girls, guys , both. All of my creatures , I love you and maybe you'll get a surprise but as of right now you are free to hate me.
