Everyone has a dark side

Jenna's P.O.V

Alan's confession ran through my head "I love you Jenna". I sighed running my fingers through my hair in frustration, how could he love me? I'm awful!.. I can't believe I just walked off.. I didn't know what to say to that! What do you say to your friend telling you he loves you! I jogged over to a stand with drinks and grabbed a water, deciding I would just take a walk and get my mind off things. I exited the venue and started walking to god knows where, plugging some headphones into my phone and blasting music to get everything off my mind. I chuckled at the irony when "I love you more than you will ever know" by Never shout never played through my headphones. I walked through the busy city, through all the hussel and bussel of busy streets until it began to die down, as the sun fell over the horizon and the sky turned a beautiful orange and pink. I decided I should go back to the venue. It was the I realized I had no idea where I was. I cursed under my breath and looked around for anything familiar but came up short. Until I heard an all to familiar voice calling my name.

"Jenna!" I spun around to see Vic standing there, I was tempted to run but my feet stayed planted in place on the ground.

"What?!" I asked angrily. not wanting to talk to him.

"Let me walk you back to the venue.." He insisted, his voice was small.

"Why should I?!" I snapped. He cringed slightly at my harsh tone. I almost felt bad for him. Almost.

"Because I know how to get back" He retorted, "And we need to talk"

"I don't need your help" I stated, crossing my arms. An amused expression crossed his features.

"What ever you say" He frowned slightly and turned to walk away. Shit how was I gonna get back now?! I sighed in defeat.

"Vic Wait.." He spun around, a hopeful expression on his face.

"I'll walk with you... But only if you don't say anything" He frowned slightly but nodded yes. I jogged to catch-up with him and we walked in an awkward silence for a while, the surroundings were getting a little familiar indicating we were getting close to the venue when Vic spoke up

"Look Jenna I know you asked me not to talk but I need to say this. I'm really sorry about what I did to you. But I swear I'm not like that anymore, We were just stupid teenagers and I'm so incredibly sorry we hurt you. You're a beautiful girl and I hope you can forgive me some day" I dared to look up at him, His eyes looked so.. honest and hopeful, tears welled up in my eyes and I looked back down at my shoes not wanting him to see all the things him and his stupid friends said to me still had an effect on me. Silence fell over us once again and I could feel Vic's eyes on me.

"Why did you do it?" I finally managed, my voice weak and frail. I sniffled, He sighed.

"I-I.. I don't know" He finally admitted looking down and kicking a rock on the side of the road awkwardly. We arrived at the venue after what felt like forever and I quickly escaped from Vic, Running to find Amanda or someone.
