An Iced Latte And A New Chance

It was just like any normal Thursday afternoon. I'd just finished school, and my sister Veronica had dropped me off outside of the starbucks ten minutes away from school.

I was wallking towards the door and pulling my sleeves down to hide my wrists, when the door burst open and a young man tripped out.

"Oh fuck!" He shouted as his drink slipped out of his hand and onto my grey top, some parts dripping onto my black leggings.

I looked at the man in shock. He was laying on his side on the pavement staring up at me. I stood there, staring back at him. He gave me an apologetic smile and slowly got up. I should have offered him a hand or something, but at that moment all I could concentrate on was him.

Looking at him, I realized he seemed familiar, but I was unsure how I'd ever come across someone as heavenly as this man in my life. After all, I was insignificant. Nobody noticed me apart from Veronica and a few of her friends.
The man was finally standing, and he rushed towards me, gushing out apologizes.

I took a step back. "Please don't touch me" I whispered, my voice nearly silent. He stopped apologizing about the incident and looked down into my eyes

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you." He murmured. I nodded slowly and looked down at my feet. "It's okay.." I slowly looked up at him. He was gorgeous. And he was watching me gawk at him. Wonderful.

I blushed and looked down again, pulling my sleeves down some more. He held out his hand. "Hi, I'm Jaime." He said in a friendly tone.

I held out my hand in response. "I'm Tessa." I whispered back. He smiled at me and nodded.

"I'm really sorry about that.." He said, pointing towards my shirt. "I'm just so clumsy." He blushed. "Could I buy you a drink?"
