A Fool's Revenge.

I was beyond bored at work and it has been really dead all day. My hopes of work keeping my mind off of everything going on were crushed and ground into dust. I was half asleep at my desk when the bell on top of the door rang. I groaned quietly and looked up in surprise and complete shock. I saw a bouquet of peach colored tulips and giant dark drown teddy. I smiled timidly as the flowers were set on the counter and the teddy bear was set down beside me revealing Mike.

I looked up at him from my seat and he smiled nervously. I went to speak but he stopped me.

“Before you say anything I really have to speak.” I nodded and he looked around the near empty shop. Casey and Dave went for a quick lunch and I was here alone.

“I know we have had our share of shitty times and this week probably being one of the worst but after a week of not having you by my side or even talking to you and after a lot of bitching from the guys, I need to say I’m sorry. I’m so so sorry that I didn’t believe you or Vic when you said you didn’t do anything wrong, I was just so hurt. As soon as I found out I did terrible things that I can’t take back but I’ve realized that I really need to start trusting you. I’ve known you since high school and loved you since then and I’m not gonna let you go over something like this.” He took a deep breath and looked at me but I didn’t say anything so he continued.

“I love you way too much. From what everyone says, we’re made for each other. We can’t deny that anymore. I love you so damn much it hurts, Jayme Brooks. I would do anything for you. I’m gonna try my hardest to prove that to you and to break our vicious cycle. I want to be with you forever, no matter what. I truly can’t see my life without you in it.” he smiled and I nearly jumped out of my seat and attacked him in hug.

“You have nothing to prove to me. I know it hurt you and it hurt me too but it’s in the past now. We can only go up from here. I can’t see my future without you either. I love you so much Michael Fuentes, more than you’ll ever know.” I reached up and kissed him gently on the lips and he smiled into it.

“OH! I forgot, I also got you these.” He pulled a small bag out of his back pocket and I smiled like a mad man.

“You remembered after all these years that root beer barrels are my favorite?” I blushed a little and took the bag from him.

“Yeah, it took me a little while to find them but it was worth it to see the smile on your pretty little face.” He scratched the back of his neck nervously and I hugged him again, latching on like a little monkey.

“I should probably get back to the studio, I literally ran out of the building a few hours ago.” He chuckled and I pouted.

“I’ll see you when you get home, okay? I’ll make it up to you by having dinner made and everything.” I perked up at the sound of food and he laughed again.

“Okay, I love you and I’ll see you at home.” I sighed and we kissed one more time before he left. I was undeniably surprised that he came to me this time. I was always the one to apologize and try to fix things but nonetheless I was happy.

The rest of the day went by fast and before I knew it, I was saying goodbye to Dave and Casey and was on my way home.

I got there and I could smell the food cooking as soon as I walked in. I kicked my shoes off and wandered around until I found my boyfriend grilling in the backyard. I wrapped my arms around his body and made an attempt to peek at what he was making but that was quickly shut down. He backed up and lightly pushed me inside.

“Go relax, I’m making you dinner and I want it to be a surprise.” He said with a smirk before he shut the back door. I made a cup of tea and patiently waited on the couch.

“Babe, dinner’s ready!” he yelled from the back and I snapped out of me seat, curious to see what he made. I looked at the table and saw parmesan crusted steak with baked potatoes and fiesta corn.

“You know you didn’t have to go all iron chef for me, right?” I smiled and sat down while he just shrugged.

“Like I said, I wanted to make it up to you and this is really the only thing I’m good at.” He chuckled and I smiled.

Dinner was delicious and we were lying in bed just snuggling and watching some comedy on TV.

“You know, I think I find something different to love about you every day.” He said out of the blue.

“Oh? What did you find today?” I asked curiously.

“Well, the way your eyes light up just by me giving you something little like candy, I love that about you. I love that you love the little things.” He said happily and looked off into the distance.

“You never cease to amaze me.” I chuckled and snuggled more into him. I could feel him pull me closer than I already was and kiss my temple gently.

“I love you Jayme Brooks, always will.” He sighed and I watched as his eyes got heavier.

“I love you too, Mike Fuentes, forever and always.” I kissed his tired lips and curled into him before falling into a deep sleep.

I missed this. I missed being in the comfort of his arms at night and his loving words. I missed everything about and even though it was only a week missed; it felt like an eternity.

Okay, so I won't be posting tomorrow b/c I'm going to see All Time Low and will most likely be waaaay to tired to write. I'm hoping I won't be too tired on thursday to write though so expect the update then:)
