A Fool's Revenge.

I was shaken awake and groaned at the feeling. I rolled over and squinted at the bright eye searing light before me. I stumbled out of my bunk and pulled my bags with me. I set them down in the front before walking to the kitchenette for the last time to make a cup of coffee and piece of toast. I filled my cup and popped the bread in the toaster. While I waited, I walked into the bathroom and grabbed two Advil. I popped them in my mouth and chased them down with my vanilla brown sugar coffee. My toast popped up and I grabbed the butter from the fridge and smeared it all over. I put it back, grabbed my coffee and walked to the back where I could hear the guys talking loudly. I walked in and sat on the floor.

“We’re gonna miss you, Jay!” I was the bottom of a pile on after Cameron said that.

“I’m gonna miss you guys too but um, feel free to get off of me.” I chuckled and they rolled off of me. I sat back up and gripped my cup in my cold hands.

“When’s your flight?” Ben asked simply.

“Three, when’s yours?” I sipped on my coffee and thought about how nice it would be to be home.

“Mine and Danny’s is at two, Cam and Sam’s is at five it think.” Ben clarified. I nodded and knew we would all be leaving by one to say goodbye to each other.

“Okay, well, I’ll be back before one so we all can leave. I have to make my rounds with saying goodbyes and whatnot.” I chuckled and finished up my cup. I munched on my toast as the guys talked about their plans for when they get home. I got up, washed my cup and dried it before shoving it in my bag. I can’t believe today was really the day I would be going home. I changed my clothes and put the dirty ones back in the bag before slipping my flip flops and sip up back on. it looked like it was about to rain so I decided to keep the jacket out just in case. I told the guys I was leaving and ventured out to say my goodbyes to everyone.

I could see people already packing up and getting ready to ship out. It was sad and amazing at the same time. The only people I didn’t have to say goodbye to today was PTV because I would most likely see them all the time anyways back home.

I started drumming a beat on the door of OMM’s bus until I heard someone scream for me to stop. I chuckled and smiled at Alan who opened the door with a very agitated look scrawled upon his face.

“You’re lucky it’s you. I was gonna kick some ass.” He laughed and let me on the bus. I plopped down on the couch and watched them pack their things.

“So are we gonna see you soon?” Tino asked as he zipped up his suit cases.

“If you guys come around on tour again soon then yes but I don’t know.” I shrugged and I saw Austin smile.

“Then we’ll see you towards the end of the year! We’re going on tour again a few weeks after we get home and you’ll probably see us anyways because we do live in the same state.” He chuckled and I mentally face palmed. I totally forgot the lived in Cali too.

“Oh yeah!” I smiled and the guys just shook their heads. I continued to chat it up for another hour or so before I gave them all hugs and said I would see them before they went on tour again. I left the bus and made my way over to All Time Low’s bus to say goodbye to them.

“Guys!?” I yelled as I walked on the bus and I saw them doing the same thing OMM was doing; finishing up on their packing. I popped in really quick and hugged them all.

“I’m just coming by to say goodbye cause I probably won’t see you guys until you tour again.” I sighed and they smiled sadly.

“Yeah, we’ll make sure to add you to the guest list next time.” Alex chuckled and placed his last suitcase on the floor.

“I’m gonna miss you guys.” I mumbled and smiled.

“We’re gonna miss you too but it’s not like you won’t hear from us, we’ll bother you all the time.” Zack laughed and I shook my head.

“I’m sure you guys will. Expect a few drunk calls from me too.” I laughed and Jack coward in fear. I just shook my head and laughed before saying by so I could continue my rounds.
It took me a little while but by the time I got to my final stop, MIW’s bus, it was nearing twelve thirty.


I banged anxiously on the door. I was most upset to say goodbye to these guys. They had really become good friends to me and I was glad Priscilla introduced me when she did.

“Oh, hey Jayme!” Devin said as he let me on the bus. I could see the guys rushing around trying to pack all of their shit along with sort through it. The only one who wasn’t was Devin. He was sitting on the couch watching his friends scurry around to pack before their flight.

“When do you guys leave?” I asked with the slightest bit of a chuckle.

“In an hour. They all woke up late and since I was the only smart one to pack before we stayed up all night, they have to do it now.” Devin laughed and I shook my head.

“I have to be getting back soon because I’m leaving in like twenty minutes. You guys were my last goodbye stop.” As soon as I said that, they stopped what they were doing and pulled me into a group hug.

“Shit, we’re gonna miss you, Jay.” Ricky sighed and I smiled sadly.

“I’m gonna miss you guys too but you’ll probably hear from me a lot.” That made their slightly sad frowns dissipate.

“Good, if not we’re gonna blow up your phone and ransack your house and take you hostage again.” Chris smiled and I rolled my eyes.

“Yeah, Okay. I’ll hopefully see you all soon. Don’t kill each other, okay?” I chuckled and gave them each a hug, Chris being the last one. We really had this brother-sister connection with each other and it was pretty interesting. I was glad to have him, and everyone else I met on this tour, in my life.

“I’ll see you in a couple weeks, right?” I looked up to him and he nodded.

“I’ll call you as soon as I land.” He sighed.

“Alright, I really have to go before I start crying. Be safe guys!” I yelled as I left there bus, sniffling like I was sick.

I made it back to the bus as the guys were loading our SUV for the trip to the airport.

“Aww, Jayme! You’ll see them again!” James sighed and pulled me into a hug.

“I know, it just sucks because I was finally getting comfortable and now I have to leave.” I wiped a tear that escaped away and took a deep breath to calm my emotional self down. I ran into the bus to grab my things and Tetris-ed my stuff in.


The ride was quiet and a little tense. We all had grown close after staying on a bus together for two months and now we were splitting up to go home. The guys would see each other soon but I would be the odd man out and probably not see them till they toured again. Like everyone else, I knew we would keep in touch but it sucked to leave. It’s like when you move out of your parents’ house; it sucks that you know you won’t see your parents or siblings as often but it was great because you were venturing out on your own for the first time; Fight or flight.


We arrived at the airport, checked all our bags in and not long after, Ben and Danny’s flight started to board. I gave them both tight hugs and said goodbye. I was next in line and when I heard my flight boarding, I got up with a sad sigh and hug the last three of my best friends.

“I’m gonna miss you guys so fucking much.” I sighed. They just hug me tight.

“Be safe and call when you land, okay?” Sam said with a smile.

“I will, same with you guys. Try not to drunk dial me too much, okay?” they all laughed and I started to walk away. I glanced back quickly and smiled.

Time to go home, get back to a normal life and hope nothing goes too wrong. Things are definitely gonna change when I get home.

I couldn’t help but feel like something terrible is waiting for me though; it’s probably just nerves.
