Remembering Sunday

Oh my god, that's Jaime Preciado! From Pierce the Veil! I tried to hide the excitement and joy from everybody but I felt like I was going to explode. Instead, I felt my face flush and turn a bright red. "No, we're just heading out." Alan said to Jaime. "Woah, is she okay?" I turned towards the voice and was surprised to see it came from Vic. He was standing there, looking at me with a worried expression. I tried to talk, really I did, but my voice gave out. It cracked when I insisted that I was fine. "I don't know. Ash, are you okay?" Austin leaned in and whispered in my ear, "Do you need more of your, uh... supplements?" I shook my head. "N-No, I'm fine. Sorry." I finally managed to get out. Jaime went somewhere in the room and I felt my face start to go back to normal. A hand was placed on my cheek and I just a bit. "Sorry. Your face was pretty red and I wanted to see if it was hot." I heard Alan say from beside me. I elbowed him in the side. "It is." He added after a minute and winked jokingly. Jaime walked back over to us and handed me a paper cup of water. I urged the trembling in my hand to stop and succeeded for the most part. "Uh, thanks, Jaime." "Yeah, sure. Wait, you know my name. You're a fan aren't you?" He smiled down at me. I nodded as I drank the water. "Well that's cool. Ever been to one of our concerts?" "Yes actually - er, well sort of... I saw some of your set at Warped Tour a few years back. My friend had to go to the infirmary so I couldn't stay that long." "Well, did you at least get to the signing? Cause you look really familiar." Vic spoke up again. "Yeah, I gave you a few drawings I did of you guys and I got a couple of albums signed." I smiled at the memory. "That's right! You also promised me something, remember? I'm assuming you kept that promise?" He asked, eyebrows raised. I looked down in shame and slowly shook my head. I had promised Vic that I would never self-harm again but things took a turn for the worst not too long after that. "Ah, come here." I saw his shoes step forward in front of me and I looked up from my seated position to see he had his arms extended out, waiting to be hugged. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and he wrapped his around my middle. We stayed that way for a while and I whispered an apology in his ear, knowing that the others couldn't hear it. "Hey, it's okay. We all break sometimes, right? We're only human, we can't help it. Remember that." He gave me one last tight squeeze before letting me go. I nodded and wiped away a single tear that managed to escape, hoping nobody noticed. Nobody did. "Anyways, we need to talk. Are you doing anything right now?" I looked to Austin and Alan and they spoke up before I could. "Actually, me and Austin were going out for coffee so you have time. Jaime, you wanna come? My treat." Alan said, giving me a reassuring smile. Jaime agreed and they all filed out the door but not before I heard Alan call back to us, "White chocolate mocha, got it!" "Well, that was easy. So, do you want to tell me why you broke the promise?" Vic asked as he walked over to the couch I was seated at. I sighed. "I guess so. But it's kind of a long story, warning you now." "I have time. Or well, until they get back, I do. But if this isn't over by the time they get back, we can always get back together and talk more then. Sound good?" He stood up and got his phone out from his pocket and handed it to me. "Give me your phone, I'll give you my number." I couldn't help but laugh at first. "How do you know I'm not some crazy fangirl who will spread your number across Tumblr?" "Because I'm going to have your number as well. And I could always tweet your number and say you're my girlfriend so your phone will blow up. You'll be attacked just as much as I would." He laughed. "Alright, alright. Well anyways, it all started back in middle school..."
