Remembering Sunday

It Was Only A Kiss, It Was Only A Kiss

I would've stayed asleep if it weren't for my phone. It had begun ringing and when I looked over at it, I saw it was my old friend Hailee calling. I'll let the voice mail get it. I turned over and looked at the clock beside my bed. 11:34. I guess I'd better get up.

In one swift (but not so graceful) movement, I was up and headed towards the bathroom. I did my business and brushed my teeth. I saw my hair was a mess and took a chance at brushing through that too. It gets pretty difficult some days. I decided to just put it in a side braid with a beanie over it. Should I wear makeup today? I thought to myself. Yeah, I'll be meeting up with Austin later today, why not do it now.

I slipped on a My Chemical Romance shirt on and applied winged eyeliner and some concealer to cover up the dark circles underneath my eyes. After that I decided to check my phone. I had 7 texts and a few notifications on Facebook.

I'll check those later too. I'm on a hunt for coffee now. I haven't gone shopping for food nor is my coffee maker even hooked up. It's one of those fancy ones with a whole bunch of meaningless buttons that you know you're never gonna use. It was a going away gift from my mom however. Right now I didn't really wanna walk, so I guess I'll just drive. Before leaving though, I checked Rosco's bowl for food and water and headed out.

As I was reaching my car, I realized I left my phone inside. When I turned to grab it, I saw Austin sitting outside his house, standing by the curb looking a little frustrated.

I ran up to him and asked what was wrong. "My drummer, Tino, is supposed to be picking me up for sound check but he's not picking up the phone. It started almost half an hour ago." He sighed, checking his phone.

"Well, I could give you a ride to wherever. I don't have any plans and you're already late." I said and smiled kindly.

"Are you sure? I don't want to be a burden."

I waved over to him to motion to follow me and with a flick of the wrist, I said "It's nothing really." Then i laughed. "Now you don't have to hang out with me later."

He laughed too and then added "I would still like to grab a coffee or something later, if you don't mind. I know you just moved in so you probably still have things to unload. But I would love to show you the town."

I smiled. "I would like that."

Notes

It's been about a month, don't hate me. I've been really busy and procrastinate a lot.
Short chapter too, sorry!
