Rise To The Occasion

Weightless

It had been another day as usual and she couldn't help but frown out the window on the way home. The people on her bus were people that she didn't really care for, if only but a hand full of people she could count on her fingertips. Music soothed her as it continued to play in her ears, she didn't understand the Japanese she was listening to at all. Though she knew it was an opening song for one of the animes she watched, Bleach to be exact. The female held her books in her lap and her backback was carefully beside her as the bus stopped every now and then to drop off people. This girl didn't even care, she wasn't really all that aware. In her mind she was going through so many different scenarios. What would it be like to be a rockstar up on stage? Would her stage fright come back? Would she faint in front of millions? She simply didn't know and she honestly was scared of what would happen. That didn't stop her though. She still had things to do and what not. She would become a rockstar. At that thought, a small smile made its way to her lips and she knew that she would definitely become who she wanted to be.

Before she knew it, they were coming upon her house in a quiet neighborhood. Gathering her things in her arms, she stood up as it turned the corner. She slid from her seat and to the walkway. The fourteen year old struggled somewhat but she managed to get off the bus muttering goodbyes to whoever cared. She walked up her driveway after her brother who was already to the door. He was always faster than her unless she had to wake him up and force him off the bus. He wasn't dependable at all. Shaking her head, she opened the door with her foot, hopping backwards with a wobble as she got it open and steadid herself before quicking it back open all the way. She hurried inside and put all her things on the washing machine that was there when you first entered. Immediately, she heard her nana calling her. "Cece, come on in so Blue can speak to you."

Chuckling, she wrapped her headphones around her iPod, the music leaving her as she stuffed it into her pockets. The female headed into the kitchen that connected to the washroom and smiled seeing a rather large calahoola dog. She smiled happily. "Hey Blue! " she said as the dog came over and began sniffing her and barking a few times. Cece couldn't help but laugh as she pet Blue and then looked over at the stove to see what she would be eating at the moment. She grinned happily. They had cooked Mexican today! Laughing, she grabbed a plate and put two enchiladas on it, a burrito, and a taco. On the side she put some rice and refried beans. She placed her plate on the table and simply sat where she usually sat, in the middle by the wall near the refridgerator. Pulling her iPod out of her pocket, she unwrapped the headphones as her nana gave her a fork. Unlocking it with her Russian keyboard, the african american girl quickly checked to see if the wifi was connected and smiled when she noticed it. Next, she went to Pandora and went to her All Time Low radio and left one earphone in as she began to listen to Weightless. Cece began to eat as she let the music fill her ears, and only looked up when her nana asked her something.

"How was your day?" she asked, and Cece barely shrugged. Her day really hadn't been all that eventful in the slightless. First off, her first class, intro to world geography sucked. They had too much work, not like she couldn't handle it, but seriously, she didn't like the teacher nor trying to memorize all these different states and where they were supposed to be. Second, choir...was...it was meh. It really was. Their choral instructor had just realized that she had given them a song that wasn't meant for Freshman, it was too late to turn back. So they had to memorize the notes, the lyrics, the pitches, oh and the song was in French. That didn't help all that much. It had been a very stressful January indeed. Shaking her head, she really knew that she couldn't complain at all about that. Third period was boring as usual, Algebra 1...she should have took that last year in eighth grade. Why had she been so stupido? She didn't know. Though, the best class of her day had been STEM. It was fun unlike other classes. She liked to be a little artsy with her projects and loved being on a computer and this was definitely the class for her. So, this is why she shrugged. Her school day was meh. Meh was the only way to describe it at the moment. Though! She did have fun in the cafeteria at lunch and afterschool. Chilling with her friends was always fun. It was fun indeed.

Eating her taco, the girl wearing glasses smiled a bit before swallowing. "It was alright." she finally spoke knowing that her nana didn't really approve of shrugs. "This food is really good! Did you and mama cook today?" she asked with a tilted head, as she moved on to her burrito. She paired it with rice and more refried beans before putting it in her mouth and chewing. The flavor was absolutely amazing and she simply loved it so much. Unnfgh. It was so good. She loved Mexican food, but not as much as Asian recipes. She loved some good ole' sushi, and some sesame chicken. She would always have room for any kinds of foods though, except for a handfull of things she didn't particulary care for, but would eat before it would eat her. She wasn't one to actually waste food at all. She considered that bad since all those other people in the world don't have anything and are starving and would kill for this food at this moment. "Eitherway, I have choir practice Monday til 5:30, " she continued after swallowing.

Her nana smoked her cigarette and blew out some smoke as she let the tip fall into the ash tray. "Yeah, we did. I made sure Missy could enough so you could get seconds and have some for tomorrow." she said with a smile on her face. Cece perked up at this and grinned happily as she continued to eat that delicious burrito. Once she was done with that she went on to her enchilada. After a while, she was done eating and stood up to put her dishes away. The song she was currently at this moment was Backseat Serenade. It was a pretty good song. The female then went into the study and picked up her Dell laptop that her friend had given her and moved to walk back into the kitchen with her charger by her side. She placed it on the table where she had been previously sitting and plugged the charger up into the wall and logged into her account on the laptop. Her password being her only eight letters. The hint being 'at it's best'.

Immediately she opened up the following tabs: Facebook, Youtube, Quotev, Google, Seicho No Hana, Vocaloid RP, Wish, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and Fanfiction. She had more social media accounts and other various accounts but at the moment only these mattered. Once Backseat Serenade was finished playing, she unplugged her headphones from her iPod, stopping Pandora completely, and she simply switched the device off as she plugged her headphones into her laptop and put the other earphone in her ear. Clicking on her Youtube tab she went to her History and played what she was listening to the other day. The first song being Love Like War. She grinned happily and went to her Facebook which had about 56 notifications, 3 messages, and zero friend requests. Giggling, she ignored her notifications and clicked on messages. Two from people in a group chat she was in and another from her buddy Dylan. She opened up the chatbox and began to type a response.

Cece -Hiiiii! What's up?

She sent and waited for a reply, which she didn't have to wait long for. Dylan had always been one to reply quickly. Besides! He was online! Thus the green dot beside his name. Durh. Haha. Shaking her head, she went to her Quotev tab and clicked on her ten notifications, most that didn't matter. Eh. She clicked on a roleplay one and read the response before going back to Facebook.

Dylan- Heyyyyy! Nothing much. You?
Cece- Haha, same bro! Just listening to music!
Dylan- What song? I'm listening to AA - Someone Somewhere

Cece- Hellz yes she is

Navigating to another tab, she went to her Wish tab, logged in and started liking as many items that caught her interest. She probably liked about fifty different things. Her birthday was in nine days but she really didn't care about that all that much. She would care when it was her birthday but not today.

Dylan- I wish catgirls were real
Cece- I know right! I'd totes have one as a pet homie!

Their conversation continues for about another hour, until Cece gets distracted with various fanfictions and pictures of famous people. Her current obsession being Alex Gaskarth. He's just so hot in her opinion. She wanted to be friends with him already and give him hugs. She was a weird one, but not that weird seeing as other people had fantasies about band members no matter how old they were. It was just so great to be young and inlove with band members. She had the tendency to latch on to people she liked and flirt a lot. Everyone always knew who she had a crush on, unless it was a girl, then no one really knew. She was affectionate with all girls so no one would ever know unless they thought she was inlove with all girls in the world. Which, wasn't true. She did think a few were hot, and a lot were beautiful and all. Well, she thought every girl was beautiful no matter what. It was just in her nature to think so.

Cece barely registered the time until she looked at the time, it read 9:46 pm. She would have to go to bed soon. Argh! Clicking back on her Facebook tab, she quickly typed up a message.

Dylan- You there?
Cece- SORRY! I TOTES GOT DISTRACTED BY ALL TIME LOW OMFG DID YOU KNOW THIS! AND GFALKGAB;KA SORRY
Cece- PLEASE FORGIVE THOUGH LITTLE SISTER! SHE DIDN'T MEAN IT!

Dylan- Woah, woah, calm down hahah, I understand lil sis. :D Anyway, I can't wait to meet you at Warped! This year is definitely our year
Cece- Damn right! I'm going to hug the shit out of you! You'll be like 'ermahgerd'
Dylan- I'll be prepared! Kayla is going to be so happy to see you! She's going to be like...
Dylan- *picture of Fluttershy with a 'Hug Me' sign*
Cece- AWWWWWWWWWW THAT'S SO CUTE! I WOULD GIVE HER A HUG! OMFG
Dylan- Haha :D I seriously can't wait
Cece- I know right!
Cece- Shoot, I have to go now! Bedtime! Goodnight!
Dylan- Goodnight!

Sighing, she huffed as one by one she exited the tabs. She had to go to bed at ten only because the internet always went off and she hated it. Cece huffed and then logged off the computer and grabbed the charger and closed the laptop. She carried it to the washing machine and put it ontop neatly and went back into the kitchen. She opened the cabinet above the microwave and pulled out a charger, she grabbed her iPod off the kitchen table and went into the den and plugged it up by the couch. When it was all hook up, she went past the den and into the hallway. Turning to her left, she opened up the hallway closet and grabbed some shorts and a simply tanktop. She pulled them on in the hallway and through her clothes on her shelf and went back into the den. There was nothing left for her to do, so she sighed put on some music, wrapped herself in some cover, laid on the floor and simply went to sleep. She had a long Saturday tomorrow, a very long one indeed.

Notes

I hope you guys like this. Sorry, Pierce the Veil won't come in so soon. Haha, I want to give a lil' background on Cece. :)
I wonder if PTV will ever read this one day....that'd be embarrassing though I kind of want them too. Haha, they inspire me so much. :)
