I'll do anything for you

I saw Sharon & Tony walk in. Sharon came right to me & Mike & talked to us. Then I met Tony. Tony & Mike got along better & so I went to my dad. He wanted me to talk with Sharon. He went off loading things into our car.

"Hola, Vic." Sharon said.

"Hi Sharon..." I really didn't want to talk to her.

"So, how are you, Vic? I've heard so many good things about you from your father." Sharon smiled. What? Great things? From my dad about me? He never had anything nice to say about me though...

"What has he told you?" I asked.

"Well he's told me how great you are in math & that you have the best grades! Straight A's I hear?" She asks. I nod in assurance.

"He also told me you're the quarterback of the football team. You think of trying out for the new school you'll be going to?" Sharon asked. She seemed nice.

"Uh..yea, probably." I said.

"That's good! I think you should do it. So...I know this is a bit soon but, how's your love life?" She laughed. "I am a mother, I get curious."

"Yea, well you're not mine." I got a bit protective & then I apologized. "Sorry Sharon, I'm a very blunt person...so if you want to know anything, I can't promise it'll be something you want to hear." I said.

"Tony's that way too....believe me. It's okay Vic, I'm sure it's nothing I can't handle." She said back.

"Okay...well...I enjoy sleeping around with different girls. Usually the brunet one's. I'm not into relationships. Too much complaining & work. Not enough sex. Then feelings get hurt & everything & there's fighting. Then something happens to one of you, & you both end up all hurt. I guess they're just too depressing for me to be in. I'd rather fuck a girl every other day & not have to worry about anything else." I spoke confident. I really didn't care what she thought. I told her I was blunt. She just gave me a 'who the fuck, does this guy think he is?' kind of look. Her mouth was half opened, she seemed shocked at what I'd said.

"I...that's great, Victor..." Sharon put on her best fake smile. Wow, she really liked my dad if she was willing to encourage me.

"Umm...How about your little brother Mike?" She said quickly changing the subject. I could tell she was hoping for something better.

"Mikey? He's gay. He's never found any guy's he likes. I guess they don't grab his attention. But he's more of the romantic type, I think. I'm not sure. 'Virgin status' I guess you could say." I laughed at my joke. Sharon had a slight smile on her face.

"You know something interesting?" She spoke. "I used to think Tony was gay because he never liked anyone. Then out of no where, he get's a girlfriend, which he never talks about & always seems to avoid even talking about her. He broke up with her yesterday. He actually seemed pretty happy about it. I still kind of think he is...he drools over the posters of the band members he has on his walls. " Sharon laughed. So did I. Sharon was pretty cool.

"Would you care if Tony turned out to be gay?" I asked, now curious.

"Oh, of coarse not. As long as he's happy & has babies when he's older. I want to have grand kids." She gave me a playful wink & laughed again. I really liked the energy she gave off. Maybe his wasn't so bad?

"I think we're going to get along very well, Sharon."

"Thank you, Vic. I hope we do." She said.

"Just as long as you make my dad happy...then we're good." I said.

"Can I tell you something about Tony? I just want to warn you....so you won't be too curious about how he acts...but please don't bring it up to him...don't let him know I told you." Sharon got really serious.

"Uh..sure." I got a little scared.

"Well...you see, his dad.....was never really there for Tony...he insulted him everyday &made him feel worthless... I never did anything about it because I didn't want him to leave me even though it would have been better. We argued everyday & he cheated on me all the time but I loved him too much to let go...The things he did to Tony got worse..." Sharon started to tear up a bit. Then continued. "He started to hurt himself. And one day I had come home from work..." She stopped for a few minutes to cry. I held her hand, trying to make her feel better.

"You don't have to continue.." I said.

"No, you need to know this. I know Tony won't tell you. And I just really need you to keep an eye out for me." Sharon said. "I came home & he was lying on the floor...not moving...& there were pills scattered everywhere on the floor..." I felt a few tears coming my way. "I called 911 & he wasn't breathing. I didn't know how long he'd been like this. I thought I lost my son...& the only person who ever puts a true smile on his face is his best friend Jaime. Now he has no one." I saw that Sharon couldn't go on anymore. I pulled her in for a hug. She cried into my shoulders for what seemed like half an hour. I couldn't believe what I just heard... Is that why Tony looked so sad?

"Tony's depressed & he was taking therapy. Now I'll have to take him to another therapist in San Diego. I just want you to help me bring back the Tony I know. You seem like such a happy boy! I think you can help me." She smiled & looked at me hopeful.

"I'll try my best, Sharon." I smiled at her & she calmed down. My dad came in, & told me to get Mike & Tony. So I went to go get them. Talking to Sharon actually made me feel a lot more close to her.
